  1. I also sent my vonage over there, but I got tired of paying 30 bucks a month, so when my in-laws returned to the PI, I sent with them a majic jack, both work great in my opinion and 20 bucks a year beats the hell out of 30 bucks a month LOL

  2. I also used a service, not this one, and paid alot more, they did do what they promised and we had no issues whatsoever. I think when they say 100% approval rate, they are talking about the petition approved (129F), not the interview, there is no way they can control what happens in the interview. Having paid a service, I can tell you its a waste of money, if you have the time and the ability to follow easy directions that are posted here on this great forum, you should have no problem.

  3. The advice here about the BAH/BAS here is right, obvisouly he has claimed you to recieved dependant rate BAH/BAQ, like was already stated here, the amount varys on your rank, and the area in which the military installation is located in. Now if he deploys and received seperation allowance, that is only 250 a month, he will recieve other allowances and tax free income from being deployed to a hazard duty zone, I should all add up to about 500 bucks a month or more.

You should contact his first seargent and let him know the situation, whether he likes it or not he is responsible for you, both financially and to provide housing etc etc, this responsiblity runs until the final divorce papers are signed and filed. Additionally he could be subject to UCMJ actions for committing adultery, though in the past this was hardly ever prosecuted, I see it more and more recently. Good luck in your juorney I hope it works out for you.

  4. I am also in the military, there is no "special treatment" for us, the only thing that might work is a expedited processing if you are deploying to overseas and need to get her here faster, but you are already past that stage. I am in the Air Force, 19 years, I was able to get a statement of employment from the Virtual MPF as we call it, and my boss wrote a letter on Air Force letter head stating I was employed. As far as your tax return, you will have no problem with that, I had the same thing when my now wife went to her K1 interview, so no worries there man. Now when we went to our AOS interview, I wore my uniform, and the interview was a breeze, and they did not ask to many quesitons, did the same the other day for the stop son AOS interview. Good luck in your interview, I am sure it will go smooth, if you have any other questions shoot me a PM.

  5. Wife and I used Olivis Travel located in Cebu. I hired them before I knew of this website. Even though I had read some bad reviews (long after I hired them), they did everything that they promised, and my wife and her children had no problems whatsoever in thier visa and interview process. At the time I hired them, I was working two jobs and had limited experience in this process. Knowing what I know now, from what I have learned on this excellent web site, I dont think that I would have hired them,(not because they did anything wrong or broke any promises) I would have went at it with the information found here. The only word of advice I can give you is be very methodical, check everything multiple times, and follow the directions the good people here have been so kind to write out and post. I wish you good luck in your process and hopefully you will be reunited with your loved one soon.

  6. Not sure about the baggage, my asawa flew Northwest. We are here in Vegas also, once you get here and settled in, maybe we could all meet and have lunch or something. Be prepared for the heat, it will be hot until at least the end of Sept. Hope you have a safe trip.

  7. My fiance also had the same issue as yours. I'm not sure if it will affect you getting the K2.

But my asawa could not get the passport for her daughter becasue of the BC. We had to pay someone about 400 USD to get this fixed for us, I think it took about 6 weeks for the court and another month for the NSO to print it. Like I said it was the passport that was the issue here, also Im sure the children will need permission from the biological father to travel. I would start trying to get it fixed ASAP. My asawa is here now in the states, and her kids have thier interview here in a afew weeks. Her parents are bringing them the US, so we also had to do a DSWD for them. Just a few things for you to think about. Good luck on your visa process.

  8. hi vj family,

my husband and i talked about tickets for USA. who and where we can buy it? who - my husband wants to buy tickets for us, he is in USA right now, can he buy tickets for us since we are here in PI? If yes, whats the process and how can he do that? pls help us guys, i need your advices.

    best regards,

    yan

I purchased the ticket for my asawa through NWA, I had to call them on the 1800 line, it would not allow me to purchase online. With E-tickets you can purchase anytime before the flight, I purchased her ticket less than 12 hours before the flight.

  9. Hello, my asawa had the same issue that you are experiencing, Im not sure if it will affect the visa process, but she did have a problem getting a passport issued through the PI government. To make a long story short we had to pay about 400 US dollars to get it corrected. Also it took about 6 week to work through the courts, and another 30 days to get the birth certificate from the NSO Manilia. Hope this helps. And good luck with your visa process.

    Hi Everyone~

I really hope someone can ease our worries. Here is the situation! My sister's priority date is about to come current. She was petitioned by my mother as F2B (single over 21) and her kids under 21 are to travel with her. The problem is when her children's father registered their birth certificates, he stated a marriage date in order for them to carry his last name. Although she is SINGLE and can be proven with a CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage) we are afraid this would cause problems with the process of their visa.

Can anyone please advise what we should do??? Do you think having a marriage date on her childrens birth certificates would cause problems even if she can prove she really is single with a CENOMAR???

  10. Just another bit of information for you, I just got married here in Vegas in Dec, it did not take 4 to 6 weeks to get the certified copy of the marriage certifiacte, I think I had by the end of the following week. If you need anymore info on the marriage process/fees here in Vegas send me a PM if I dont know the answer I will find it for you. Good luck on your marriage
