  1. My wife and I both received two e-mails from the NVC showing our newly assigned case number today. It also included the DS-3032 form and instructions and the AOS Processing Fee Bill Invoice. Is it normal to receive this information from the NVC by e-mail? Should we both still expect to receive a hard copy of these forms and instrutions by regular mail? How did the NVC get both of our e-mail addresses? Should we begin completing the forms and payments before we receive hard copies? Is this typical protocol?

Yes, this is their new system. Pay the AOS bill, and look at the VJ Wiki for instructions on how to email the choice of agent information to NVC.

    Good Luck!!!

Thanks for your help. I paid the AOS fee online at the NVC website and now we will complete the DS-3032 and e-mail it to the NVC. How do you sign the Choice of Agent and Address from if it is done electronically? Does a hard copy need to be mailed to the NVC as well?

You have case number AND Individual ID number on the email? if you have the numbers and you should log into the NVC web page payment page and if you can pay the fees because you have all the info generated pay the fees and move forward!

If you are unsure call the NVC number and talk to an operator ask questions they are open Fridays until midnight EDT go go go

i would make sure you have everything in order but I have never received hard copy of anything yet. They told me it can take weeks to send the hard copy. They accepted the documents I generated from download no problem.

Good luck my wife is in China also!

Thanks for your quick response, Dan. I DO have the NVC case number and the AOS fee Invoice I.D. Number in the e-mails. Is that what you meant by "Individual" case number? Good to know it can all be done by e-mail. Still wondering how they got both our e-mail addresses.

Good luck with you and Juan also!!

  4. Our I-130 was approved on March 17th and I received the hard copy from the CSC on March 24, 2009. Our case status on the USCIS website is still showing that our case is "received and pending". I have not recieved a case number from the NVC as of yet. Has anyone else seen it take so long for the case status to be updated on the USCIS website? Will it be updated only after the NVC assigns a case number?

  5. Thanks for all your responses! :star: I wish you all good luck in your approval processes, whether it goes to the CSC or VSC. I'll update our timeline as soon as anything new develops. Hope to hear from everyone on your news, as well. Keep in touch.

it looks like if you sent out application around feb 20, it's going to CSC. they received mine feb 23, and it went to CSC.

Nope, just sent it Monday March 2nd!!! Have to pray for CSC and wait and see what NOA1 says. Good luck and wishing you a fast approval.

  6. I had sent our I-130 Petition to the proper Chicago Lockbox address for the Vermont Service Center since I live in New York State. The NOA-1 was approved on 02-26-09 and I received the NOA-1 hard copy in the mail on 03-02-09. I just went to the USCIS website and noticed that it was sent to the California Service Center for processing. Should I be concerned about this and should I receive any notice from the CIS that it was routed to the CSC rather than the VSC? I have heard that recently, the CSC seems to have a better processing time for I-130's so I'm pleased about this news, but I'm still a bit puzzled about the reason why it was sent there. Could it be a mistake on the USCIS website? Has this happened to anyone else recently?

  7. Welcome!! We greatly appreciate your generous offer to assist us.

Hello, I work Tier I for USCIS. I just wanted to share my knowledge with the people who are having a tough time. I know immigration can be tough and grueling, but if I can help just a few people get through a little easier I'll be happy.
