Recieved actual card on June 25th.

If my wife who is Egyptian and as green card resident sponsors for her brother back in Cairo, how long does it take for her brother to get sponsored and travel to USA?

When finding about the status of the application itself, he told us that VSC is now reveiwing July 2011 applications.

So it will be around 3 months before it hit for us September filers. Now that's almost a year wait. Ah well... time flies.

My wife went in with her current green card and biometric appointment letter. They had quite a few people for the 1pm appointment that day in Elizabeth USCIS branch. I was shocked. When I had mine, myself and someone other for 1:30pm who came early were the only ones. But there were 15 people waiting in line for bio.

Anyway, all went in smooth.

Now wondering if there is a way to check when the permanent GC will be processed and mailed out. Does anyone know the timeframe?

Our package was not so thick and hence used simple paper clip; relied heavily on our latest daughter's birth certificate and 3 photos. Possibly the first package to include a facebook 1 page print out of me and my hubby showing relationship.

Be sure print out sticker(s) stating the name of the spouse intending removing condition; A#, and stick them on each supporting document including the check. Hope this helps.

Hello Everyone, Just not have been on VJ and did not get a chance to update my timelines.

Yes, we got our NAO1 - now we are clear to travel if we need to.

Some people here noted that we should not travel until the biometrics are done and good news for us. We just received our biometrics scheduled letter yesterday 09/17/11 and the interview is before the end of this month.

Hoping that others got theirs as well as I have not seen any further updates from others.

How long is the wait after the biometrics that I get my permanent GC, I wonder? Hope VSC keeps them flowing fast.

She can travel with her expired GC + NOA which is the extension letter but better wait for the biometrics before she travels because she might get the appointment while she is in Egypt

as long as she has the NOA1 which says her green card is extended 1 year she can travel. If she does not have this she should not leave yet.

I filed my ROC on 09/03 and it arrived 09/06 and they cashed the check and i got the NOA on the week of 09/06.

as long as she is here for her biometrics appointment...

she does not need anything if she comes back before the original expiration date.. she will need the extension if after that date

Hello everyone:

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. Well its that time again and thank god that 2 years of us together makes life so enjoyable. Well then - what's next. Oh yes, removing conditions filing I-751.

I will be sending our documents first thing Tuesday and filing with Vermont including :

Application itself;

One sheet for two change in addresses;

Our daughter's birth certificate;

Green card both sides;

First page print out of Facebook for me and my wife;

Group photos about 3 nos;

Lease contract renewal;

Car insurance and rental insurance documents; and

Tax returns for 2 years.

Will update my signature soon, but will be looking at this post for status on Sep filers for quite sometime now.

FYI, I thought the application was supposed to be sent a month before expiration so we are kind of late and into our 60 days timeframe expiring on Oct 28th. Hopefully the application will go through.
