Happy Sunday, everyone!

Steven has REALLY been missing me lately. He asked Friday night if I could catch a plane to see him for the weekend. I was like.... If I fly to Mo Bay on Saturday morning, I wouldn't get there until the afternoon... and I'd have to catch a flight back Sunday morning. Not worth the time or money for less than 24 hours.

He knows I have a surprise trip coming up, but doesn't know when (March 26). It was his idea for the trip to be a surprise in the first place, but now he's trying to get me to tell him when I'm coming. But I'm not spoiling the surprise this close to it! I just tell him "One day you'll feel a tap on your shoulder."

ShellyBelly, when did they say the Visa would be ready?

My husband said that the clerk at the window said 2-3 weeks but I just tracked the package wit DHL and it says "awaiting pickup by recipient as requested". Can it really be? I'm so excited but that was real fast so my husband gonna call from down there and find out 2morrow

Thanks everyone. His interview was at 7 am on the 13th. He lives in St. Catherine so it wasn't to far of a drive. Befor he left his home we went over what he should be bringing with him becuase we've waited to long to get any setbacks at this point. Everything was in order. I tell him make sure he bring his phone because I'll anxiously waitin his call. He left his home bout 5am. He reached the embassy bout 6:30 am. He said he was in the embassy door by 6:50 am. He waited till he was called. He told me he started to fret when he saw some people coming out wit blue slips. He said one guy who was interviewed b4 him was asked the question , Have you ever been arrested? The guy responded no but obviously they(the interviewer knew otherwise. Some people he said didn;t get through because of missing documents. Eventually he calmed himself down. He told me he was interviewed by a white man. He asked him bout 14 or 15 questions. I was likewhy so much question because I know some people who did Cr1 interviews and their spouse wasn't present with them at the interview were asked about 5 or so. Majority was about me and he told me he was asked about five questions bout my son.

I spoke to my husband this morning and he said he already packed . Him can't wait. So we're both happy. I've been doing so much cleaning and preparation for him it is unbelievable.

Hello everybody. My hubby's interview was today and we were approved . He should be here by end if this month. His interview went well.

I went last week and the interviewer literally told me "Thank you for coming to the interview maam, you make it easier for us and easier on you"

but they did make us wait for like3 plus hours and i think it is because they were watching us..........

I was soo nervous on the way there and then when we walked in those doors I was fine (except the rude security guards)

LOL Shrewdie I got you, we will act appropriately for the interview. I am sure I will be a bag of nerves sitting there knowing people are watching us . My Hubby will be the calm one so I will just follow his lead.

Congragulations to those with upcoming interviews. I'm in the same boat. My huzzy's interview is on 3-13. I really want to go but it's a tuff decision. I'm a teacher and I just came back from Jamaica I was there from the 13 of this month to the 19. The kids were on break so that's why I was able to go. Now if I had known back in January when I booked my ticket that we were gonna get a date in March I surely would of went in March. Being that I won't be able to go is that a bad thing. I know everything will go well but the fact that I can't make it is really bugging me. I have also read of other VJ members who didn't go to interview and their spouse go through.

I am sure we have! Where is your hubby from? Not that that matters - we are usually all over the island, lol

My Father's family is from Betheltown, Westmoreland that's where I spent most of my younger years on visits . When my hubby and I got married we got a place together in Kingston

There is a fee to call that number and schedule your appointment. But if the embassy assigns you an interview date (that's what they do, right?), then do you still pay?

I THINK THE ONLY FEE THAT HAS TO BE PAID AT THE INTERVIEW FOR CR/IR1 VISAS IS THE FEE FOR THE VISA TO BE DELIVERED. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS ALREADY PAID 4 THROUGH THE NVC.

Javes- I'm in the same boat- made a few calls today and was shocked to get the same reply. Seems utterly ridiculous. McKoy's medical is on Thursday- and still no letter... I'm getting anxious!

I'm not going to the interview- I travel for work and I'll be in China while he is at the interview... 13 hour time difference... wonderful! Are you going?

Ok...so my letter finally came in the mail yesterday when i checked it after work. Thank God! Yours should be arriving soon. What part of CA are you in? I'm in SoCal - Culver City.

Anyway, if you still don't have the letter after you check the mail on Monday, I would call the NVC and ask for a supervisor and explain the situation to see if they would be willing to make an exception and email the letter to you.

I'm debating as to whether I should go for the inteview. I just returned from Jamaica last week and I would love to pocket the additional airfare money that it's going to cost. Reading through other people's interview experiences, it seems as if I can get away with not going. But at the same time, I'd kick myself if I didn't go and my husband got rejected for the visa.

Thoughts anyone?

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH THE SOTS AT THE MEDICAL WILL COST MY HUSBAND THOUGHT HIS IMMUNIZATION WAS UP TO DATE BUT WHEN I CHECKED HIS RECORD IT'S NOT.

Jengles, I think people are calling the NVC and that's where they are getting their dates from - The NVC sets the dates as they are made available for the CR / IR1 = the others are set by the embassy - Have you been sending your emails with "first request, case #....", "second request,..." in the subject line? That seemed to get responses for others-

IN REGARDS TO THE INTERVIEW AT THE EMBASSY DOES MY SPOUSE HAVE TO BRING PICS FOR CR1 WE HAVE BUT HOW MUCH IS NEEDED JUST SO ANXIOUS TO KNOW WHAT TYPES OF QUESTIONS THEY WILL ASK HIM HIS INTERVIEW IS AT 7AM ON 3-13 SO I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE HE FULLY PREPARED

If you're hoping for a March interview- now is the time to call. They scheduled McKoy for March 10 at 7 am! Just found out today!

ME AND MY BUBBY GOT INTERVIEW DATE FOR 3-13-09 YAY. I FOUND OUT THE INTERVIEW DATE B4 I LEFT FOR JA ON THE 13 OF FEB. I ALREADY SCHEDULED THE MEDICAL FOR HIM AND EVERYTHING.

I'm getting pretty nervous! Especially since we won't know if the medical will be ready to be picked up on Friday!!

Word of advice to all...Schedule your medicals ASAP and if they give you a date that is too close to the interview date, try to get one sooner. You will have less heart stress.

My hubby had to "fren up" the woman in charge. Mrs. Osbourne I believe. As long as im don't get too frenly and it works, then i'm fine wid it.

I'll be sure to give you guys a detailed report on Jan. 14. I won't be bringing my laptop.

no, but i know ontheedge is a month ahead of me adn she didnt get an interview date for december

pecky is about 2 weeks ahead of me and didnt get one either

Im praying hard for a january interview!

I know. The next time they schedule is technically the second week in December, but I'll still call once a week anyway to see if something has changed.
