  1. if it is just only a misspelled and it is still sounds like the same with the name she used to... ex: jane to jean or anne to ann then you can go to nearest LCR. you dont have to go court to correct that. your mom can go to LCR where she lives now or much easier if she goes to LCR where her BC is registered...she can correct it with Republic act 9048, LCR will advice her what to do...mine it takes 2 and 1/2 months for correction.

    Lcr??

  2. Hi VJ Members <3

Here I am again, asking for your help and advices regarding with this issue.

I am planning to petition my mom here in the US. So we are getting ready with all the docs needed.

My mom got her late birth registration. But the thing is, they misspelled my mom's first name. :(

The spelling is totally different from my birth certificate. :star:

So my Q is, what could we possibly do? Does anyone have this case too?

Your comments and advices are highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    To God be the Glory!

  3. I made a post about luggage & having your luggage tagged from boarding to final destination. Then you quoted my post & said "I super LOVE LAX. :)"

Question: does your response/quote "I super LOVE LAX. :)" have anything to do with luggage or having your luggage tagged?

Maybe you meant to quote someone else and quoted me by mistake.

Also I responded to your quote BECAUSE you quoted me FIRST- go back and read the thread.

??? you can just leave my tread! :bonk:

  4. I do not mean luggage fee - I am talking about her luggage being tagged. :bonk:

    Let me explain:

If you are flying multiple stops on different airlines and your luggage is NOT tagged to the final destination, you would have to retrieve your luggage form the last stop of the first airline & re-check it again for travel on the next airlines.

Thus, in your wife's case if her luggage is NOT tagged from MNL to KC - she will have to retrieve her luggage at Honolulu (final stop on Continental) then re-check it again for the domestic part (final two legs on American).

BUT if her luggage is checked/tagged from beginning to end - she will NOT have to collect her luggage until she reaches her final destination (KC).

Although you can continue your trip from one airlines to the other - some of them do not have luggage agreements. That is something for you to check on - if the airlines she will be flying on have a luggage agreement.

Also I didn't know that Continental had a codeshare agreement with American Airlines.

    I super LOVE LAX. :)

  5. Well, I dont want to offend anyone but I really felt bad to those whom I was able to be-friend through this website because while at their journey with their paperwork, they have time to send you email through PM, or chat with you through yahoo messenger. But now that they are already in the US; its as if they already turned their backs from the people who in one or the other has been of great help to them. Well, of course they are now reunited with their loved ones, that's given, but I think you will not sign in on yahoo messenger if you are too busy to chat. I hate to think that just because they are already finished with their journey and now in US, they dont know you anymore. I am just disappointed with this kind of attitude... I just hope that these people will learn to continue to humble themselves and learn to know where they came from. Being in the US is just the start of your journey and there might be instances that someday you will need or look for a Filipino friend to talk too. God bless

    Hi Ronalyn. . .

Life in the US. . means, starting in your own. . It maybe or maybe not but life in the US means, looking for new friends. . adjusting the culture. . everything. Just wait til your friends get back to you.

Anyhow, I am always online in yahoo messenger tho I AM OUT doing ERRANDS with my hubby. :)
