okay.. i thought getting requirements from the place where i have been is all that i have to do.

now another application needed to be file and requirements.

i have read the instruction on filing the AOS. but i wanted also to ask people here.

what requirements did you prepare?

i dont know what to do first.

i arrived here in US as K1 visa. what should i do next?

some say file for SSN? would it be more comfortable to get married first then get SSN?

coz you know in getting SSN we need to get EAD first. and in getting EAD really cost alot. and they say that it will expire as my I-94 expires..

so what should i do first?

i had my interview last dec 7. and they asked me additional documents. but i also passed it on the same day.

they didnt gave me any pink or white or pink and white slip. they didnt gave me any slip. they just return my passport. when i passed the additional documents and passport on that day also. they just said that " you can go home now" then i ask if theres any fee that i should pay. and they said that i will just pay the delivery fee when i they deliver the passport. in short it is Cash On Delivery(COD).

what do you think i should do? i dont have any slip to track my visa? you think i am already approved? how many days should i wait?

i recommend frendy hotel! it is so cheap cheaper than eurotel and citystate. its less than a thousand if its standard and single without breakfast!.

ive been there a couple of times. and i really guarantee its cheap and clean!. heheeh i am like an agent here. hehehe

i had done my medical yesterday too! dec. 18. 2008. thats the first day. but they told us to be back on dec. 22 for the immunization and releasing. i arrived in SLEC at 5am fill up the forms. i was # 18 on the line and SLEC operation time is 6am. your number will be called and you will give the form you fill up together with your passport, 2x2 pic, and the case number and confirmation letter/email, and the approval letter. sad to say i dont have approval letter because we just called USEM for appointment. and they set us appointment without approval letter.. the girl on the reception are so mean!!! she almost shouted at me. because i reason out that the USEM allow us to set appointment. anyway it is not really a problem because the reason they asked about he approval letter is to make sure that your case number is really true. because some applicants are not sure about their case number. so i got really irritated at the attitude of the receptionist and i called my fiance to call the USEM on what the heck is that approval letter all about. and the USEM said it is not necessary!! they said if you dont have approval letter just show a print out visa appointment online. show it to them on the releasing day.

i did bring food to munch on. but didnt get the chance to eat because i was busy talking to the fellow K1 girls. hehehe .. its good that you meet and talked poeple there to ease the nervous. just have fun but be alert coz your name will be called.

the doctor assigned to me didnt asked that. just examine my breast abdomen and she let me lay side way then just look at my butt then done. she ask alot of question actually basic questions like if you had drugs, tatto, do you smoke, if i had been pregnant, but didnt asked when did i had sex. well maybe because i went there a day after my last period. hhehehe. most of the girls who is with me just had their last period also.but the doctor assigned to them examine/watch their #######. so it depends on the doctor?

this is great! my interview is on jan 7 at 7am!! who will meet with me?? heheheh my medical will be on 17-18. guys who has same interview and medical like mine. lets meet for a little chitchat!.

i know you will get your NOA2 soon... just be patient (actually its really frustrating) hehehe.. im getting ready for my medical. and have to do all the vaccination shots. huhuhu.

what other VJers did was they just showed a copy of their NVC letter at SLEC (St. Luke's Extension clinic)and they were able to have their medical. It's walk-in basis, no need for appointment.

for the interview, they called the call center and able to make an appointment since they already have the MNL #.

Yeah, there's no need to wait for any documents to arrive at your door. We just did it last week. The only document you need is the notification from NVC and show up at St Luke's Extension Clinic EARLY in the morning because it gets full fast. As for the interview, we tried to just call with the MNL #, but what you need is to find out from NVC if they've sent your package, they can tell you when they've sent it but just not when it'll arrive though you can track it yourself. Give it about a week or two though and it should arrive, for Manila it arrives within 3 days or so. Then give the Embassy some time to put it in the system. After doing so, you're ready to call and make that interview appointment. I think they're full now for this year though, so you're looking at January February appointments. Hope that helps! if you have the MNL case #. call the USEM asap!. coz you can set an appointment even without the packet. i did it yesterday!

hi! we are the same. my fiance also got a hardcopy mail containing NOA2. and i already the case #.. have you got yours too?you think how many days the packet will arrive? grrrrrrr im really getting frustrated.. its been one week now since we got the case #.

is it true that we could take medical with just the case #?

my tears fall in reading the threads.. its really hard to say goodbye at the airport. sometimes i think im really tired of saying goodbye and waiting but then also i realize that if thats what it takes to have the man i love il just have to feel that feeling. i know soon we will be together.

welcome! yes its confusing at first, but you'll catch on! yes, once you receive the noa2 they will send you a list of things you need to do/more documents you need to gather. this needs to be sent to your fiance (or whoever vice vs....needs to be sent to the non-US citizen). others will probly have more info then me, but here is a quick overview of the process! you are definitely not alone!

im july fillers too. my fiance recieved a notification that the USCIC received the petition and that it is being process. then he got another just this nov. 13 saying they forwared the request to NVC. so is that the NOA1? then he got another letter saying that the NVC is forwarding it to US embassy here in philippines and they are also mailing me a letter that contain instructions on my interview. is that the packet? and what packet is that? packet 1 or 2?

is that the notification received from USCIC? if that so then i know now. but i need to know what the meaning of that?

and also now im waiting for my packet that my fiance said it contains information or instruction on my interview and medical. do i have to have another packet? is that what packet3 and packet4 mean?

and last on the packet, does it already contain the medical and interview schedule? or we still need to call for an appointment for the schedule?
