  1. I have filed I-751, Removal of Conditions, in Dec 2011. I am currently holding an expired 2 year Conditional Permanent Resident Card along with the 1 year extension letter. As of today we still havent received my Biometrics Appointment letter, it has been 65 days now since we received NOA1.

Since January 2011 my husband and me have been staying in Germany due to several factors. My mother had serious health issues which caused an extreme hardship on my family in Germany. Besides that we also received bad news during a routine doctors visit - my body had developed precancerous cells. Unfortunately at that the time we had no healthcare coverage due to my husband ending his contract with the Army. Going to Germany temporarly seemed for us the most practical choice since we were able to support my family and for me to get the needed medical attention which was available to me in my home country.

In November 2011 my husband and I made a trip to the U.S. to gather all the documents for the filing of I-751. My husband and me had to return to Germany for a little while since I had to undergo some more medical follow-ups. AT POE the CBP office didnt allow me entering the county using my Greencard for the reason that it was expiring the next day. I was told that my Greencard wasnt good for the length of trip to the U.S. and that I had to use Visa Waiver. I told him that I was a Permanent Resident living in the States, that my Greencard is still good to enter the U.S. and that it doesnt have to be valid for the length of my trip. I was forced to do the Visa Waiver otherwise I would have not been allowed in the U.S. at all.

I did some research on here. If my trip to the States isnt counted then I would be out of the U.S. for more than 1 year. Is this why I havent received my biometrics appointment letter yet? Is my LPR status terminated?

My husband and me would like to return home now and we are not sure if I will be let in the U.S. with my expired greencard and the extension letter?

    Thanks for all your help!!!

  2. I need some help from you guys who traveled and used their AP to go back to your homecountry!!?? Me and my husband wanna get our tickets soon to go to germany in december and spend the holidays there!!! I got my AP in the mail couple weeks ago but dont really know how to use it?!

    My questions:

    1. Are they gonna take out my white I-94 that was just valid for 90 days (expired August 28 09) when I entered with my K-1 Visa??

    2. Dont I need that specific I-94 for an eventual green card interview??

    3. Am I gonna get in trouble cause they are thinking the I-94 expired and I overstayed??

    4. Am I gonna have any problems checking in at the airport in germany going back to the states cause they usually ask you if you travel for business of pleasure and for how long you gonna stay in the US!? I dont have my GC yet, so when I say I live in the US, are they gonna understand the deal with AP??

    Thank you!!

  3. Question to you all that already have received their NOA2 and maybe their packet 3! We received NOA2 March 19th and dhl tracking says that our paperwork was already dropped off at the embassy here in Frankfurt Germany! I haven´t received packet 3 yet but i already have filled out all the needed forms! I am going on a trip to the states on saturday for about 3 weeks, bought that ticket back in January! So my question is should I have my mom to send in the forms to the embassy when I will get packet 3 in the mail and just send out the checklist that I have all my stuff ready for the interview when I return back from my trip or should i just wait with all my forms and checklist till I return?

Any advice is very appreciated! :-)

  4. Ellie and David congrats to your NOA2! Looks like that did work out great for you, being with your sweetheart and receiving big news! I´m happy for you! Well we received our RFE last monday and it was really just about question nr. 2 part C, we got it done and sent it right back in! On sunday Michael is coming to see me for a week, he is off from college and right in time uscis had a nice surprise for us:

    WE GOT APPROVED MARCH 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Thank you so much Ellie-and-David! I guess it´s about not answering part C question 2! When we became member of vj our petition was already sent in and we figured that we forgot about making a cross in the box cause we thought that question wouldn´t need to be answered if your not military living abroad, i know the mistake alot of other people have made before! Oh well if it´s just that it should be easy to fix it! I will keep you updated!

  6. Stopping in here...just returned from my 3 and a half week trip to the states....I can´t believe what I read when I was looking at all these september october and november threads of CSC....I´m upset about what is going on right now...I´ve seen the first November filers of CSC getting approved...while it seems for us that we have we have a long wait on NOA2 ahead of us.....how you guys feeling about that???

  7. Checking in quick on all my November buddies and all other V´J´s....I won´t be on here for a lil while cause the clock is ticking.....58 hours and I´ll be on my way home and spend a couple weeks and the holidays with my sweetheart and my new family!! See you all back on here next year :-) I know we all can´t wait for 2009 and a fast NOA2 to be in the mail and other good news the new year will hold for us!!!

Merry christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!!!

You all take care and keep me updated!!!

    Jasmin
