  1. Thank you. I wish you luck too. I've also entertained the thought of moving there, but it's just not feasible right now. Just wondering, have you seen http://candleforlove.com? It will help you prepare for the interview.

    Kevin,

I have tried to register on CFL many times and for some reason it never works. It states it sends me confirmation emails but I never get them, regular or spam. I really want to be able to use the site but I have been unable to do so.

    Thanks,

    John and Siyi

  2. I don't think GUZ ever interviews within those 4 months. Don't worry, they'll automatically extend it for you. What gets me is that China (population 1.3 billion) has only one consulate that handles K visas, and Canada (population 33.5 million) has two.

That is amazing but it is also my luck...lol I think it would be easier to move there, I have enjoyed being in China. Thanks for your input and i wish you both well on your adventure and life together.

    Thanks again

  3. I've heard three to four months.

Sadly, I have heard that too. I don't understand if that is true and after they recieve the paperwork it can take another 2- 3 months. The visa application is only good for 4 months, from USCIS, I worry what happens in that case.

    Thanks

  4. I have read so many issues on the affidavit of support that my head is dizzy...:) I spoke with my attorney this morning and what he has told me and what I have read is two different stories.

I have been divorced twice, Two children from my first marriage and one from the last marriage. I have only my last child as a deduction I have claimed every year on my taxes. The other two are claimed by there mother. I have joint custody on all. So that said and what I have read I would claim a total of 5 person's for my household. My lawyer states I only have to claim the one I use on my tax return... now I am more confused.

I am self employed and last year only showed an income (net) 34,000.00, Has anyone ever had to deal with children not living with you or claimed as dependants?????

  5. Yes, same for Cambodia. In addition to this, I have to write "NO MONEY INSIDE" on the outside of my packages and letters to my fiancee there, or she will mysteriously NEVER receive it! Crazy!

Once again, I appreciate all the information, I am not sure what we would do without this site. It is great to know we are never alone in our journey..

Wish everyone a great life and all our dreams come true.

  7. Hell all, Our paperwork has been approved in Vermont, It should be at NVC, my problem is this, my Fiancee is from China and has recently moved, within the same city. I am not sure how to go about changing her address so that she will get the packets as they are sent out from Guangzhou. I would appreciate any help someone could give us on correcting this issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    John and Siyi

  8. I am looking for anyone who understands the Mail system in China. My Fiancee has moved and she tells me that when they get mail the postal calls there cell phones. Since I am in the USA, it all sounds a bit strange. Yet when I have been in China, I never noticed a per say mail man...lol She is expecting information from the consulate and I worry she will not get it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

    Thanks always,

    John and Siyi

"Mail" from the Consulate will come by way of the Courier service "EMS". Yes, they'll call her on the phone number she gave.

Thank You, you seem to have much knowledge on here and it is a great asset for us all. Firday I spoke with my lawyer and honestly when I got all done, I still knew nothing...lol.

I understand the Noa2 goes to NVC, I just do not understand how you track the paperwork or when it gets to the consulate. I just do not want for there to be any delays on our part. My Fiancee has obtained her Passport and Birth certificate, so I think we have that covered.

    Well, once again thank you

    John and Siyi

She'll also need to obtain a certificate indicating she remains unmarried. "Affidavit of Single Status".

Thanks, I forgot to add that to my list, she is divorced and has divorce papers, both in Chinese and translated to English. She has no Job, I have sent her to school for her to learn English full time, which she is doing great... She has been in school for 6 months, so I support her while she is in school. by the way I wish you both a Happy Chinese New Year, I wish I could have gone there during the festival... nest year for sure.

    Thanks again

    John

  11. I am seeing many VSC approvals for Aug Filers!! next week is our week! keep positives everyone :star:

Stay positive and check your mail, not your email. We recieved our approval in the mail and it was approved on the 18th. The USCIS site still list us as pending. I was surprised too see it in the mail prior to getting an update or email. Good luck and I hope it comes soon, I know it feels like a whole building has been lifted off my mind.

Keep believing and your dreams will become real,

    John and Siyi

  12. Hello all, I just found out today that we recieved our 129F Noa2, I checked everyday on the site, with no change. Today I got the mail and I had our notice approval. It was Approved January, 18. So all those in the August can see some light at the end of this tunnel.

I wish everyone a quick turn around and keep smiling, even when it is hard at times.

I would love to hear from anypone who has gone through this process and find out what is next. I spoke with my attorney, but it was not so helpful.

I will say the waiting game is very hard but the end result is like lifting a building off our shoulders.

    Thanks,

    John and SiYi
