  1. Hey guys,

Long time no chat! I lost internet for a bit and was too lazy/busy to go and get my aircard fixed (darn thing keeps breakin').

Anyhow, Been working fulltime as an Extrusion Operator. I love the job, love that is is a very small company and have the freedom to run the machine my way from setup to finished product :)

We are still waiting to receive our interview date, but I will not rush it. I said once I got my EAD then they could take their time. Be nice to get the greencard in hand though.

Things are soooooooo much better and less stressful now that I can provide for my family!

Wishing everyone continued luck and success!!

    -Brian

And how Ironic that when I randomly post that above, it was exactly 100 days since I mailed in my package!!

    lol!

  3. Cassi that is wonderful news :)

It saves time on having to get an interview date and then being approved. You will be approved for your AOS from California and just receive your GC!!!!

EAD will not be transferred and will be ordered from the National Benefit Center if it even needs to be. You may receive your GC before your EAD :)

Also guys I was approved for my EAD last week and made a post, so if someone could kindly update the timeline I would appreciate it :P

Looking for jobs isnt fun! I forgot how much of a pain in the #### it is lol

Goodluck to all and I hope there are many more approvals this week!

  4. Oh my gooooooodness!

  6. Thanks for the positive words guys.

I guess I can clearly see the timeline of EAD/AP's coming up to my name and it just makes me the more anxious. I have been good for the past couple months but I just need to get out there with a job to keep my sanity.

It is great to be able to chat to people who are going through the same situation. I truly do believe nobody understands the pain and waiting on the Immi process unless they have been through it themselves.

Anyhow, goodluck to everyone! Hope you all get approvals this week!

  7. Ive stayed patient so far, but im beginning to go crazy. I need the EAD so bad it hurts. Nothing worse then having my wife work 50+ hours a week while I stay at home virtually useless.

Please give me a EAD. You can take 2 years to set an interview date. I can deal with that. But I must work.

It has been 1 month since my last touch and no sign of anything.

Sorry to bicker guys, but its frustrating not being able to provide for my wife and 2 kids.

    :crying:

I wouldn't worry about not being touched - I wasn't touched since the day of my biometrics and was approved yesterday.

Based on your timeline and other people's approvals,it looks like you will get the EAD any day now.

    Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the kind words :)

  9. Hi guys, I applied for EAD separately after I received my I-797c notice for I-485. I already completed my bio on Dec 29 for I-485. Now, I got another

appointment notice of bio on Jan 15 for my EAD. Does this sound normal since I applied separately? I thought that the same I-485 bio will be used for EAD.

Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks...

This is correct. Biometrics are done for AOS as well as EAD. If you applied for your EAD after you sent in for your I-485 you will indeed need to go to another.

Hey- Maybe the second picture will look better?

  10. Jhun,

Canada is indeed a part of the "VWP".

Basically if you entered the USA with just a passport or drivers license USCIS considers you to have entered via the "VWP".

For instance I drove down to FL from Niagra falls to drop off my then gf and spend a few weeks there on vacation. I only needed to show my CDN DL at my POE.

I'm sorry for being ignorance...hehehhe ...Thanks for clarrification.

    No ignorance there. =)

I wish you all the best in your journey!

  11. i just realized that after the long and arduous process for K1, it's hard to deal with the USCIS again. though i did not receive RFE for the K1, it took 164 days before it was approved. i can't help but start to worry again. no offense to those who did not go through K1 or K3 but i somehow don't understand why they got an earlier interview date than us. is it because we will not be interviewed anymore? my case has not been transferred to CSC yet so it is still possible that it will be transferred to a local office. please don't get me wrong here. i do know that regardless of how we get here, I believe that we all have good and clean intentions. i am just a bit confused about the process that's all.

This was basically why I posted above. It looks like those on VWP are 'skipping' the line if you will - when in reality they are not.

Most likely you will receive your GC without an interview. They have already interviewed you during your k1 process. You will most likely (again this is not set in stone. Every case is different.) recieve your EAD and AP alot sooner then those on VWP as well.

Hang in there, it will come.

    -Brian
