  1. Well he stamped and signed Part 2... I called USCIS up and they said to just bring it in and bring a letter explaining the situation. But that's just from their customer service operator. It's really up to the individual handling the folder.

I don't know about just any old clinic... USCIS states it has to be a civil surgeon. I think whoever got it stamped at any old clinic got lucky they didn't check too hard. In any case, we've already passed the interview, this is just making sure our folder is complete so they can send out the card.

If anyone knows a GS in NYC that would transcribe our record for low cost, I would definitly take the time to go and do it. Or if they can do it by fax and express mail it quickly, I would also do it.

  2. The pricing is about right - however, he is in error about not signing the form in the proper place.

I believe you can complain about civil surgeons to the USCIS for review.

Depends on what the USCIS does with the sealed envelope - they may accept it - since it shows you had the vacs needed (and that is what the RFE was for).

I do not understand how you had the interview without the 693 sent to them first, but I see you did -weird - I would think you would of gotten the RFE for that prior to the interview date.

My wife came on a K1 visa last Oct., so she didn't need another full exam. I miss read the part that said "Bring Vaccine Supplement" and thought that her vaccination booklet was good enough. The instructions didn't say it had to be Part 2 of I-693. Otherwise I'd have brought that.

  3. At our AOS interview on 4/6 we forgot to bring our I-693 vaccination supplement. We subsequently got a RFE letter on 4/12 asking us to bring it to the office on 4/27 @8:00 am. We downloaded a list of civil surgeons from the USCIS website and went through 10 doctors on 4/16. Most doctors would only do the full exam and not just the vaccination part. We finally found Dr. Trinh, information below, to do our supplement. He transcribed my wife's vaccination history and we paid for 4 more shots costing $255. We paid in cash because he did not accept insurance or credit cards. However, he refused to fill out Part. 5 (Civil Surgeon's Certification) after he completed the work.

Dr. Trinh said that he would only sign Part 5 if he completed the whole exam. He wrote in the remark's section of Part 2. that he only checked my wife's vaccine history and applied the needed vaccinations. They would not even include our Part 1. (Information About You) in the sealed envelope.

What can I do now? Time is running short.

  4. I mis-read the AOS interview instructions and didn't bring a I-693 supplement vaccination form. I got the letter a day later to submit one to the Adjudications Branch. However, I want to double check how I should submit it. The text of the letter says "SUBMIT THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS ON April 27, 2010 @ 8:00 am) Does this mean I am to bring the sealed envelope personally to the office? Or does it mean I have to mail it and have it reach there before 4/27?

Could I bring it there earlier?

    Thanks

  5. Per the USCIS, documents not in English must be translated. The policy states as follows:

"All documents that are in a language other than English must be submitted with a translation. The person translating the document must certify that the translation is complete and accurate and that he/she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English."

    Question:

Does the translator certification statement has to be in the body of the translated text or on a seperate page?

    Thanks!

  6. This is really a bind... I don't want to lie, but from a cultural point of view this is a major issue. I've already dicussed this with the person that introduced us and she while she understands my situation, admitting I was previously married would hurt my love. It would have probally been best to tell her before the introduction, but now it would be looked on as a very bad sign of me. Even though I was tricked into my first marriage... :'(

  7. Hi All,

I'm trying to start the I-129F form for my love in China but got stuck on question 6, Martial Status. I was married for a very brief period in China in May 2007 then divorced in Sept 2007. I found the girl I met and her parents where trying to con me. Thier attitude towards me changed greatly after I signed the marriage papers. This was all done in China, and I never filed any kind of papers here in the US.

Now I fell in love again, and this time made sure it's all real. However, I never told the woman I was married before and am pretty certain she will not take well to the news. What can I do? Can I still file as single as my status was never changed in the US? Can the marriage be treated as it never happened because I felt I was conned into it?

If I filed as divorced I think she'll be notifed and have to bring the copies of my previous marriage and divorce to the interview. :'( What should I do.....
