Do you have your trip booked? I would make an infopass appointment at your local office and get them to stamp his passport - he can travel on the stamp, just in case his green card hasn't arrived by then.
He has An AP already, will that work. Otherwises it's a 250 mile trip unless the office that does Bio can do it.

Recieved notice in the mail today that my husband I-130 and I-485 was approved on Nov 26. Originals sent to attorney. Now what do we need to do? He should recieve his card in three weeks. This is a conditional LPR. The wait is finially over. He is planning to go to Jamaica in 3 weeks will this be a problem? Thanks for all the past help.

I filed My husband I-130 in July 07 thru an attorney before fees changed. I have call multi times to 800 # and no answers went to an Info Pass and no answer. anyone have any idea what I should try next. I-465 has been sitting on an officers desk at St Paul MN office since April and no action on anything yet. What are we do do? We have not been asked for any info. At the Info Pass they told us nothing on I130 but we should hear somethoing on the I-465 in 3 to 6 month.

I don't know if this is the reason but I had an Info pass in St Paul MN last Friday and was told that uscis was just working to get the citizenships done so those people could vote in this past election. So now they are way behind with the others.

good luck song..please let us know how it goes
What a waste to time! I went to the INFO PASS and found out nothing. What a joke the whole process was. We traveled 250 miles one way. We get there go thru Security and go to the lower level. I had my hubby with me and niether of us had to show our ID. We checked in and got our number and got called right away. Told the man that I wanted to know why no action was taken on my I 130. I was told that I should be asking questions on the I-465. He took my letter I recieved for my inquire on the I-130 and throw it away. and then looked up the I-465. He told me that it is on Officer Johnson desk and we may hear something in 3 to 6 months on it. He said that they are backed up because they were only processing people going to become citizen so they could vote in this year election. So now they are back processing the other one now. We were told that Johnson just transfered over from the airport and if he is any good at his job we know something in 6 months.

I have talked to a senator and a congressman. They are both working on it for me.

Thanks for the help. I'll report back when I get back home for Mpls. Hopefully the weather will not get bad. We have to travel 250 mile for the meeting.

No that was not put on any forms. He had a ticket to meet my family in the states and no then go home. When he left Jamaica he was going back he had his ticket to return. We discussed what we should do and decided to get married before he went home. I did not know anything about the immmigration process until we went to the attorney. I called my minister that went to Jamaica with my group and he said yes we could do it after the last service on Sunday. We got our license at the court house and there is no waiting period in ND. This is a real marriage.

My hubby came to the states on a visa he had gotten the year before that he had used to visited his bother in NY in Dec. The plan was for us to get married in the states and then he would go home and we would do the immigration process. The Attorney told us to file for everything and for him to stay here with me.

My hubby will be coming with me when I go to the info pass appointment tomorrow. Hopefully will find out what the holdup is. I will bring my whole file with me when I go. Is there anything else to bring?

We got married April 29, 07. Went to Attorney the next week and was to for hubby to stay here and to file whole package. Filed for I-130, I-765, I-131, I-485 ect. in July 07. No problem with the I-131 or I-765. And no problems traveling to Jamaica and coming back home. Bios done in Sept and interview in April 08. Nothing from them now. Went to Congressman office for help. Got a call yesterday that Second I-765 was aproved but I-485 is delayed approval. I have an info Pass Appointment for tommorrow on the I- 130 which hasn't been approved yet. Can anyone give us any advice? Is this the way it happens?
Recieved Green Card with errors now what?

WE used an attorney to file our forms because we knew nothing about Immigration. Attorney sent the form with errors on them stating that my husband is a Female. He then sent the correction sheets and they had transfered the file so we had to hand deliver them when we had our interview. We were aproved for GC on 11-25-08. Green card got here 12-13-08. He is listed as an Female. Now we have a big problem, he leaves for Jamaica on Saturday and I will go down 3 weeks later. How do we get this fixed before I go down there so I can get the green card to him for when he comes back. Can he go to Kingston and get his passport stamped to come back to the states the end of Feburary? Thanks for any help anyone can give us.
