  1. Hii all... Again I got CRIS email today at 10:45..

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 24, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

Yesterday I had that Card Production order. n today Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident..

Is this way its work first card order n then welcome notice sent? OR first welcome notice sent? n then Card order?

    I don't know... :unsure::unsure: but anyway..Send us GC soonn...

GOOD LUCK all... IS Coming..soonn..to u too..:thumbs::thumbs:

Congratulations Crazy&Mad, you are almost done now for a while

  2. Yeah, I mean I just tried that since that was what I was really after, like I said I don't know if it caused it to be expedited but I did get a note saying the approval notice was sent and the date of the notice just happens to be the day I called and I did get a reference number so somebody probably did look into it. It could be that it was already approved but since I could not track it online I can't tell, but the email referenced my call.

I called yesterday (4/29/09) to try to expedite EAD (the information was passed along because I got a reference number and was told I will hear back within five days). I got an email today saying my approval notice was sent 4/29/09. I am not sure if it was just a coincidence or whether it was a result of the request. I still can't track it online though so i'll just watch for the approval notice in the mail. Goodluck guys.

you actually asked them to have the "EAD" expedited? not the AP?

  4. Update:

i received an email from CRIS. my Current online status of my AOS is "Card production ordered". and my card will be mailed within 30 days.

Note: i didnt received my EAD and AP yet.. i thought my EAD and AP comes first before my green card.. anyway, it's still a good news to all march filers who have transferred their AOS to CSC.

    I'll keep posted.

Congratulations, wow!! that is record timing, I guess you won't need the EAD and AP if your card comes first. Did you do anything different?

  6. I had my case forwarded to MTL, although it was supposed to be Vancouver (since i reside in BC). I emailed them, I found it took an average of 2 - 4 business days for them to reply my emails. But I got the case transfered to Vancouver and I got my package 3 from Vancouver. Remember, when you email them at the consulate, include your NVC case number, your name and petitioner and DOB. You can check out my timeline to get an idea of timing. All the best

  7. Hey just wanted you guys to know I got my medical done yesterday at Vancouver, and actually got a call from the Consulate this morning, I was given an appointment date of Jan. 20, 09. Things seem to moving along at a satisfactory pace for me. Although we still haven't recieved a hard copy of the NOA2.

Best of luck to everyone still sorting through the process.

  8. I also have some RRSPs and Non-registered investments, although I haven't moved yet, I am NOT planning on touching the RRSPs, I hope i'm not forced to withdraw from the non-registered stuff too because while i won't have the tax problem, the exchange rate is not good. But from the taxes withheld on the RRSPs and the dismal conversion rate, if you're not in an absolute bind, I wouldn't touch the money. Since it's retirement money, if you have 3-4 yr horizon out, it will recover and if you have a lot more time then you should be fine. It just seems like a double whammy with the tax and exchange rate so bad.

  9. Hey guys, this is a first post but i've been a regular visitor. We just recieved a letter from NVC saying our K-1 petition was approved and was being forwarded to the 'appropriate visa issuing post' but we haven't recieved an NOA2, and the website still says pending (touched 10/31/08, previous touch was 7/29/08). But then again, they said the application was being forwarded to Montreal even after we said Vancouver. I'm guessing we should call NVC or should it be Montreal Consulate to have it forwarded to Vancouver?

Same here my case is still saying pending but we received our NOA2 on Firday, it seems that things are a bit Wacky at VSC at the moment. We have not had any notification that it has been forwarded yet

I would give them a call 0016033340700 press 1 for English then 5 you will need your eac number and both your dates of birth

They are a bit busy at the moment I tried to call a couple of times and just got put back to the automated service

    GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS

Thanks, I have tried the NVC number a couple of times but it keeps ringing engaged.
