  1. Thank u so much for the complete information..You just don't know How I relieve! I am in Maryland. Atleast I can fly with peace of mind. 2. You can stay in the Philippines for a year without having to go thru immigration/ extension stay since you are still a Filipino Citizen. Not sure about your baby (how old is he/she?). If you have a passport that still shows your maiden name make sure you bring your marriage cert, also bring an affidavit of consent notarized that you husband aggreed/consented your travel with your baby. Also bring your baby's birth cert., they might ask you to present this info on your way back.

    Good luck!

My baby is already 9 months. I am just worried about her. Is ther any fees paid upon our arrival or just when we will go out fro philippines. Thanks.

  7. Hello everyone,

I came here as K-1 last march 3,2009..I applied an SSN march 14 but unfortunately until my I-94 expire they didnt gave me a card...i went to the office every week and they told me that in my i-94 they mispelled the k-1 status as V-1 so in DHS system it was V-1...so I went to the airport to change it...and when i go back to SSA my I-94 was expired so they cant give me a number...

I adjust my status...my EAD was arrived july 28 so I went back to SSA to apply for my SSN with my married name and my EAD card...they said they will verify my status again...so I waited another four week...now I just called SSA and they told me that they still not verify my status...I already received mg GC August 5...I am already pist off with them...i dont have any problem getting my EAD and my GC but an SSN...it seems it takes forever...can anyone help me to enlighten me what to do? I want to go to another office but I dont know if it will help or not...Please help me...

  8. My wife and I are separated. We're not communicating. She has all my immigration papers. We have filed for AOS but when I left, we only got the receipt. I need to inform the USCIS that we are now separated so that they won't construe this as fraud. My wife did something unforgivable and she did it repeatedly after all her lies and she did to me. She was my petitioner and I am the beneficiary. I dont have the receipt for our papers or anything. How can I inform the USCIS about our situation? I am only waiting for our divorce at this point so I can go back to my country. Any help, suggestions will do.

    Thanks everyone.

WHo is really telling the truth..you or your wife?????dont make story here....

  9. Good morning everyone,

Naty has her Visa now, the paperwork says she is to go to the PDOS in Quezon City. There is the one on Taft Ave they call PRISIM which would be much easier for her. Can she just go to the one on Taft? Thanks Much.

She can go to the taft avenue one...for me its easier not to many people though...just go there early...we went there 8am,waiting outside coz the seminar will start at 10am but its ok to wait than you will be late and not accepted....

  10. 1. Did you include your 1040 along with the w-2 for 2008? If you didn't - that is why (need both)

    2. Perhaps - did the 2008 income meet the poverty level? (you said you put $29~ k or so - that should be more than enough)

    1) Sorry, what's 1040 again? Ugh, no we didnt submit that. So what should we submit now for the RFE? Would a transcript be better?

    2) Our 2008 met the poverty level at $29~ k (as we have indicated in I-864) or even with the W-2 indicating $27~ k. So why do they make it sound that we didnt meet the guideline? Anyway, we can submit what they indicated we submit. It's just confusing.

That's exactly what they asked me too...in your husband's tax record you can see the 1040 there..(summary kung panu nacompute yung tax nya,yun yung isinubmit nya when he pay tax) you copy them all....in number 2 dont worry about the poverty guideline pasok kayo dun but you need to submit proof only like:letter of employment paystub for six months..that's all i did and they accepted it...

  11. so, ive read the vital role of the marriage license and i just found out that Pennsylania needs a driver's license and SSN to get a marriage license so there goes our PA wedding with his friends and family; my fiance will go meet me in the US during his leave as a military personnel and he doesnt have a lot of leave days saved up; prolly will only have less than a month's worth of leave days when i get the K-1 visa.

ive read about the SSN and how i can apply for it at least 2 wks after my POE since by then it will show in the system; then i would most probably wait for the card 2 wks later; so yes, that will sum up to about 4 wks and my fiance wont even have that much leave days! :crying:

so i looked at other states that wont require a SSN to get a marriage license; looked up virginia, california, and yes, even nevada (we were curious about las vegas too u know  ) but then to my dismay it was stated there

"You'll typically need to apply for your marriage license at least one month before your wedding ceremony."

does it really have to be at least a month?

and when i scrolled down, it said:

" Application Requirement: Both the bride and groom must appear in person at the time of applying."

well i would obviously apply it with him, but if we would wait a month til we get married, that's just way way way tooo long! he doesnt even have enough time to do that  :crying::crying:

we have been planning to maybe have a church wedding at PA and at most in 2-3 days after our arrival; coz we want to apply for the AOS asap and get an AP asap so i can fly to Okinawa and be with my future hubby

so not only is our church wedding plan put on hold but im not even sure about the marriage license, and if we can have enough time to get married the entire time he's on his leave...:blink:

    P.S.

im just doing my research whilst waiting for the NOA2 coz we dont have all the time in the world when we see each other in the states, so it's better to be prepared (especially for worst case scenarios)

so any ideas and suggestions would be a really BIG help Thanks! much love :luv:

I also got this problem here in Maryland but we went to West Virginia, they gave a marriage liscence without an SSN just show your birth certificate and passport..we dont need to wait ,they gave it to us same time as we are waiting and we also get married after 30 minutes ..Try to call there...

  12. hey guys....i just wanna ask about filling for my I-864....it is must be notarized before sending it?and also about the G-325A..is it really 5 copies everytime i need to include in any part of application?example i will submit it together with my I-131,is it really 5 copies of G-325A?..please help us those who submit already...so confusing for me...thank you..

No - it does not need to be notarized.

One G-325 per person. (each G-325A has multiple sheets) - if you fill it out electronically - and print it out - that is one set for one person.

Thank you so much...how about my application for my AP..they are asking what the exact date i need to exit...my problem is i dont have exact date that i can be use...i want to have AP because we dont know if there is an emergency in the family...can i leave it blank?or really i need to put the date...???

  13. I had the same problem..i applied for my social secury number then after 6 weeks i didnt receive my number..so i went back to their office then they again told me i need to wait for 2 to 3 weeks because they had error in it..instead of K-1 they put in their system V-1 as my status..and V-1 is not allowed to have ssn until i applied for EAD..so we went to another state to get married...now i am on my 2nd week again..i dont know why we need to wait 2 to 3 weeks for them to retreive their system...

  14. Ive received noa1 and am looking down the road to noa2 my fiancee is from the Philippines and has lived there all her life except a couple of years she spent in Lebanon were she worked for 2 years so she needs a police clearance from there. I looked at the reciprocity tables at

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciproc...ocity_3604.html

    and found this

    Police and Prison Records

Available. The "Judiciary Police Record" is issued by the Judiciary Police Department, Internal Security Forces, Minister of the Interior. It does not contain any information about any political activities or affiliation to any terrorist, military, or illegal organization. It only shows any final court decision, final conviction and/or court sentence.

After completing his/her sentence, an individual could request that the Ministry of Justice remove the sentence from his "Judiciary Police Record" after three to ten years, depending on the type of crime. In 1992, the Lebanese Government issued a "General Amnesty" for all crimes committed before 1991. Also, in 1996 the Lebanese Government issued a "General Amnesty" to all drug charges-related crimes committed before 1994.

The criminal records are indexed and in alphabetical order. They include, in addition to the individual's name, the number and place of each individual's place of civil registration. The "Judiciary Police Record" is issued in Arabic and signed by the Chief of the Judiciary Department.

To obtain the "Judiciary Police Record", the individual who is physically present in Lebanon, must personally apply, accompanied by his/her Lebanese identity card to the Police Record Department, Internal Security Forces, Ministry of Interior. The document will be issued within 48 hours.

For those residing outside Lebanon, the request must be processed through Lebanese embassies/consulates, but applicants may experience extremely long waiting periods before they receive the document, or may not receive them at all. The "Judiciary Police Record" may also be requested through a lawyer having a power of attorney from the individual authorizing the request. The "Judiciary Police Record" presented by an individual does not mean that the individual is clear. It just states that "this person does not have any court sentence against him".

please correct me if i am wrong or if you have some helpful advice

i assume that "Judiciary Police Record"is the same as police clearance

i assume i should start with the Lebanese embassy in the philippines since it says "For those residing outside Lebanon, the request must be processed through Lebanese embassies/consulates"

also i assume i will need a lawyer becouse it also says "but applicants may experience extremely long waiting periods before they receive the document, or may not receive them at all. The "Judiciary Police Record" may also be requested through a lawyer having a power of attorney from the individual authorizing the request."

After all of that i know it will have to be translated into English.By whom does the U.S. embassy in Manila approve to do this?

And finally,When should i begin to get this document, after noa2 ?

You can start getting it now...because they said it takes longer period for you to receive...Lebanon is not an easy country...so just to make sure everything will be done before your fiance's interview..just do it as early as possible...

  15. Hi i married to US citizen january 2007 here in phil. caloocan city but after a months of our wedding things are change and no cominacation until now..i want to move on and freedom so iwant to file annulment but unfortunately dnt know how and where to start..and how much the coz of anulment? hope u help me to recomend a lawyer

if you are near pasay you can contact ATTY.JEANIE S. PULIDO....YOU CAN GOOGLE her name on the net..she is my lawyer when i went tru my annulment...i just pay and she do all the jobs...we just communicate tru emails because that time im out of the country working...so if you dont have time to do all your stuff..she is a big help...PM me if u wanna more info...

I went thru an annulment before, you can pm me if you want to.But then, dont you think it's too early for u to take an action? Why dont you give him the benefit of a doubt?Maybe something bad happened to your husband the reason why he didnt communicate with you for a month.Do you have his relatives' contact infos?Did you try calling his work place?.But then,if you think there's a reason for him not to talk to you,if you had "issues" with your relationship and you think that it wont resolve anymore, maybe it's time for you to move on.

  19. Right now my fiance has her police certificates from the Philippines one is NBI and one i guess is just the local police. We are sitting in limbo right now waiting on the korean embassy to get her the police certificate from ROK. After looking at the k1 guide it doesnt say anything about including police certificates at this point. Can i submit the petition now, cause besides what we need from korea i have everything else. thank you

You can file now because the police clearance is only needed in her embassy interview...so better start filing your petition now...Good luck..
