Married in Kosovo in 2008
Wife arrived in the USA on K3 visa in May 2009
Filed for USA Marriage in June 2009
Wife went back to Kosovo in April 2010 and received her I130 approval, received Greencard on April 2010 at POE in NY
Wife's greencard expiry date is 04/2012
What options do I have? Based on the fact that she entered the USA on her K3 Visa before her I130, can she apply for citizenship the same time that she applies for removal of conditions?

Wont the IV process grant her a SSN?
Payxibka: Wedding in april + chance to do IV interview without medical test. Seems worth it, we have to go for the wedding anyway. But you're right, I should have filed the AOS a while back. We'll see...

Wife got her k3 in 2009....and will go back to embassy in April to interview for her I130, so that we don't pay the AOS fee.
Can she apply for EAD/SS? Will that ruin any process? She'd like to work, improve her social english after her semester at school. Would like to know if anyone can help, I tried research but wasn't able to peice together my unique scenario

My wife is now in the USA as a K3 visa holder. However, I tried to get the CR1 done the same time, hoping to switch the interview. Unfortunatly we could not, and we could not wait to be together, so I went back and brought her home with me.
Can I somehow have my I130 transfered to a AOS? Is there an easier step? Can I pursue the I130 still, while she is in the USA?
-
How do you plan on flipping your interview candid? Will you call/email them and ask, or do it when you arrive?
-
What if I delay the AOS? It's a multiple re-entry visa is it not?
-
Why? It's multiple entry and it would help the AOS process, showing we travel together? I was thinking Aruba, but that idea has been nixed, so I may do US Virgin Islands

I'd like to surprise my wife with a long overdue honeymoon after she arrives in the USA on her K3 visa. Any idea's what carribean beach countries will allow her entry with her countries passport and a k3?
-
Good luck to you GS4. I was pursuing the k3 but decided to try my luck getting the CR1 out and having a "flip" but my spouse's k3 interview is april 16th! I haven't even gotten choice of agent approved! yikes! they seemed faster, but I assume there was a rush of new cases to NVC which may have slowed them down.
-
Finally Rec'd an email today from NVC stating that my choice of agent has been accepted and the IV bill will be generated and sent to the designated agent on the case.
Good to hear this, as I have submitted my Choice of Agent email about the same time!
-
That is quite scary, my papers were at NVC since wednesday...? Did you receive a touch on 3/6?
-
que: why did your NVC case take so long? did you email your spouses chouice of agent form? I was under assumption that NVC takes 3 weeks?
-
lol don't think negative now, your case will be complete in no time!!
-
I'm so confused! I want to bring my wife here memorial day weekend (may 24), but am afraid the CR1 will take too long! EEK! I think I'm going to go with the k3....I hope this is right?
-
and what if I'm planning on doing that, say june 27th? I want to travel all summer! I was going to do k3 the whole way but this is enticing
-
with a CR1: will she be able to, for example, come with me to aruba 2 weeks after she enters the USA?
-
I had both I130 and I129f approved yesterday...Main reason I want k3 is to allow re-entry for my spouse, as we will be doing alot of travelling.
However, now that both I130 and I129f are approved, which is my best option? Continue k3 or stick with the i130 alone?
-
JENN!!!!! You kept hope alive and it knocked on your door!!!! CONGRATS! I'm as happy as I was when I got my own approval yesterday!! Congrats!!
-
Jenn, I haven't been following much on your case but have you called to inquire on your case? I did on Friday...maybe that helped? I'll say a special prayer for you today
-
I don't even want to be excited, because I know there are others who filed before me who have not received notice. =\ I await the day you all receive your approvals and I will be as happy as when I received mine! Last night I went with parents to see wedding halls to throw a US reception as well....we argued about keeping up a false hope, and alas!

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
the touch got me too excited, i rang up everyone i knew. I should just remain calm, could mean nothing...but you can't help it. I'm hoping the rest of you get something to uplift your moods!
-
esposadetucho, as much as I want to be approved TODAY, you deserve it more! I hope you get some news soon
just after I posted the above..........I received a touch on both i130 and i129f
my eyes welled up
