hi all, i have a problem with the uscis, i called them today to ask about my case , i received the approval letter since 20 days .. but the NVC didn't receive it yet .. so i called uscis several times today.. at first the operator asked me to call tomorrow or in another time of the day and i will get information about my case.. when i called later they told me that the system is down! and i have to call after a week .... i didn't give up and called again but that time the operator told me that they have no information and i have to apply again form I-824 !!!! so that they can follow my case , is that reasonable???? do i have really to apply that form and pay the fees 340 $ for them mistake?? and waste more and more time again? can you please give a heeelp..

well, i did my refugee in syria and came with my family through the UNHCR there... me and my husband got married during my refugee processings so i couldn't add him to my case.. he is trying now to go to syria and tell them that his wife is in the US hoping that may help him to get the refugee or resettlement interviews.. but i'm thinking now that may be he should not tell them about the form I-730 that i had applied for him, they may be as you said think that my husband can come on another visa so he doesn't have to get the refugee..i don't know......

i didn't thought you are a citizen !! i just assumed that you have the green card only.. the problem is how can you be a citizen and your application takes all that tiiime ! i heard that the citizen can get his/her spouse within 2 months or less! and for the alien residence it may takes 8 months.. and for those like me without anything1 it may takes up to 2 or 3 years..this is really depressing me..

ok, i'm surprised why your husband still waiting the IOM call as he did the medical exams on May..did he get the approval letter or not? .. i know that most of the iraqies who finished all the steps of refugee in (syria, jordan. egypt, lebanon and Turky) had to wait more than the normal times because of the end of the fiscal year 08 , but as soon as the new fi. 09 started on Oct. the iOM started again it's action and alot of iraqies are given the security approval and travel dates now.. i wish they call your husband and end all the hard times..you just need alittle patience ..

i want to ask you .. i'm sure your husband in the refugee interviews told them that his wife is in the US.. but did he tell them about his I-130 application? or show them the approval letter or something..

and for my husband he got the G series recently and he is (trying) to go to syria now hopefully he can do something about refugee...............

thankyou s and s , i heard about this program it's only for iraqies who have (green card holder) relatives. so i couldn't apply for that form only the I-730 ... anyway, i have to wait sooo long or may be not .. nobody knows!

hi s and s , i used to check my case online it is always case received and pending but when i logged in with my id i saw the the last updated date changed after the approval letter. well , i guess that's enough to be sure .. but i'll never get satisfied unless the NVC receive my case..i hope that happenes soon..

i have a problem .. few months ago i had applied form I-730 for spouse re- unification to the TSC then on 23th October the USCIs sent me an approval letter and they said that they will forward my case to the NVC...now after 2 weeks i called the NVC they said that they didn't receive my case yet.. i called the USCIS and followed the instructions of the automated message .. entered my receipt # .. the latest update was only case received and pending they didn't mention any thing about the approval NOA.. or forwarding the case to the NVC.. is that normal? how can i know where is my case now? and how can i talk to an operator directly?.. i don't want to wait months and then find out that my case had lost between the USCIS and the NVC... can you give any help pleeeeease...

thankyou all for replys .. actually now i'm in NH ... there is the international institute .. the lawyer there helped me with filling that form (I-730) ... but i wished if there is anyone here got the same case so we can follow together... thanks again

i had arrived US afew months ago through UNHCR as arefugee .. my husband couldn't come with me so i applied a relative petition I-730 for spouse reunification .. i received from the USCIS a receipt notice and an approval notice.. plaese any one have the same case can help me with any information ... thankyou..

by the way .. my husband had registered in the UNHCR in syria and i want to send him the USCIS approval notice hoping that may helps him to be transfered to the resettlement program of refugee .. do you think that can help us?..

i called them .. the operater said that they didn't receive my case yet and she said it may takes 2-4 weeks or they have to wait up to 90 days...

but for my petetion I 730 i'm not sure if i have to pay the fee bills i think it differs from I-130..

because i asked a lawyer and she said (if he come) he will be considered a refugee too as me..and she didin't say anything about the bills or his signature.. ( i'm not sure if that's true or not ).

i'm a new member here in the visajourney website and also new in the united states.. i hope you can halp me with my case.

i arrived to the US a few months ago and my status is ( refugee ) now (not green card holder ) .. my husband couln't come with me so i applied for him I-730 refugee relative petition and sent it to TSC then i received a USCIS NOA1 (receipt no. ) and on oct. 23 i had received NOA2 ( approval notice ) and they said that my case had been approved and forwarded to the NVC...

i'm wondering now what the next step is going to be? how can i check my case status? will i get a new receipt no. from the NVC ..?

how long time it takes in the NVC?

please i have alooot of questions , i sent many emails to the NVC but i didn't receive auto reply message and no answer from them..

any information from you will help me alot..
