  1. How do you keep your relationship strong despite of the distance between you and your partner based on your own experiences?

Being separated by distance with your love ones is a huge challenge that we are facing in our lives now. Yes we are happy co'z we are in love and we are loved, but there are times that we feel sorry co'z we can't hold the man/woman that we love. There are so many articles/advices that we can read on the internet, books, magazines or hear from our friends or counselors...but I wanna hear from the VJ'ers or those who are on same situation as me...what are the things that you do to keep your relationship/marriage stronger everyday. It could be a small or silly things but you know for sure helps you and your partner to fight the stress of being apart. :star:

Being separated is very hard, I miss my wife and baby girl every day! We use a web cam on MSN so we have vid/voice and I can see them, it helps....I miss them. :crying::crying:

  2. I would guess it's where you live at interview time.

That's what I was thinking, just need to be sure!

    Thanks

Sounds like an I-864 question and perhaps answered in the "K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures General Discussion" section of this board. Have to say, when I met my wife and we wanted to get married, didn't expect anything like the I-864 and that form seems to contradict the entire action of the I-751. I mean the I-751 is suppose to discourage you as a USC sponsoring citizen from marrying an alien just to bring you into this country. But with the I-864, you are putting your head in the noose so to speak as even with a divorce are held liable for that person. And the I-864 is only the tip of the iceberg if you live in a state where prenuptial agreements are not recognized in a divorce court. A USC would be nuts to marry an alien for the prime purpose of bringing them into this country. But that isn't enough for the USCIS, have to provide all kinds of proof, and all over again for the N-400 to gain USC for that LPR that status wasn't easy to get in the first place.

Anyway, if you don't have enough bucks, can't even pass the first stage, so much for that old proverb where two can live cheaply as one. I just hired a good immigration attorney to handle all this stuff, did that after lots of checking, had other things to do, a job, my own kids, and the time I wanted to spend with my wife to be. But was a shock with first the I-864, then after all that to only receive a conditional green card with the same proof again for the I-751, then to have to go through the same stuff again for the N-400.

Sounds like 3,000 bucks per year is cutting it close, that's about 60 bucks per week or 12 bucks a day. But maybe not easy to do in todays economy.

I'm not at all sure what your talking about this not about a K1 I-864 I-175 or " don't have enough bucks, can't even pass the first stage"

  7. I noticed that sending in 3 years of tax returns are optional. I have a small business and my tax returns are huge. Should I send them just '07 or '06 and '05 as well? It will weigh a ton if I send all three! Thanks!

Get tax transcripts for the last 3 years from IRS. Not bulky and PREFERRED over copies of returns. Especially for self employed without 1099s nor W2s.

    1-800 829-1040. Free.

All you need is your fed return for the most recent tax year ( line 25 of I-864) if you have 1099s or w2 show that if you think 3 years will show your ability to maintain sufficient income go for 3 years. im in the same boat (small business) i'm only sending the most recent year! don't think uscis cares what you made in the past only the now!
