you can go to the working and traveling forum.. and there is a lot of information about it..

usually people that have been waiting for 4+ months for the EAD they contact the congress... not before...

may I ask why you contacted the congress already??

If it's because of the EAD let me tell you that you are still under the 90 days limit... it usually takes 70-90 days to get approved...

and i cannot find any other reasons to contact the congress so soon!

Does this mean we entered with the intent to immigrate? We entered with the intent not to be homeless in a third-world country. We didn't go through the process of obtaining the B1/B2 visa with the intent to immigrate. Largely it was because I wanted my "Mexi-phobic" family to meet my wife.

I have a question does everyone that have gotten there EAD and AP, are they the K-visa applicants because i am AOS and i did my bio on Dec 10 and when i check the website is says ' case received and pending ' for my I765- EAD?

everybody is or applied for adjustment of status (AOS).. even K-1 applicants

I was reading what the C-1 stamp is... and its for TRANSIT..

sometimes people gets B-1 stamps if its for business trip...

any overstay would be forgiven to an USC spouse..

yeah.. i think it's safe to travel in the US..

passport and marriage certificate would do..

if you have any Notice of Actions.. you can bring those along too

I've read here in the forums that this happened before... but it's not the actual payment to USCIS.. is what u put on your wife's and daughter's birth date..!!

I read in here that somebody put the wife's b-date as if she was born on 2008 and he got rejected due to incorrect fee...

i got hired at Citi Group...its a call center for Citi Bank customers...

although it was has nothing to do with my career interest (nursing) i applied there for the benefits they offer..like medical, dental, vision, and discount prescriptions, also employee discounts..and also discounted employee credit cards (big plus+ because most are 0% interest). and free checking and savings accounts..

so while i finish school ill be working here!

and i believe that you are allowed and eligible to work anywhere you want with your EAD...except for those jobs requiring US Citizenship...

Hello to all fellow November AOS filers

My husband and I (I am the petitioner) have come across a problem, and I was wondering if others have come across the same problem.

We went to my husband's Bank, to create a joint bank account. But the lady said they could not add me because I don't have a Social Security Number! The lady was very nice, and tried, and asked, but told us she could not. '...Because you are in this 'grey area'...' Meaning, because I don't have a Green Card yet.

I showed her my passport, my I-94, etc.

This is making me a little worried.

She said she would type up a letter on Bank Stationary to explain to USCIS why the Bank could not add me onto the account.

But after reading many many posts here, I think having a joint bank account is important isnt it? The person at the interview will expect it?

Should we go to another Bank?

or will the letter be enough?

what bank are you trying to get an account in?? i was able to get my own account plus be added to my husbands..by just showing my visa and school ID..i have a b1/b2 visa...the only thing the personal banker told me was that i wouldnt be able to apply for any credit cards because of the unavailability of a SSN...

i have accounts at wells fargo..and bank of america..

hope i helped...i believe chase doesnt let you..unless you have two forms of identification from your home country..((my husband used to work there))

by the way..i had an interview today..and i got hired!!!...
