Your husband can file a I-130 for your daughter as long as the step-parent relationship begain before the childs 18th birthday.. it will be much quicker for him to file than for you..

The issued visa will be delivered to the applicant's designated address by Air 21 (the Embassy's authorized courier service provider) within 7 to 10 working days. The visa delivery fee, which is determined by the courier service, is paid by the applicant. This fee to the courier service is separate from any fees paid to the U.S. Government. Applicants do not need return to the Embassy to pick up their issued visas.

On Monday and Tuesday my wife went to St. Lukes Extended Med Clinic and a couple of hours ago she told me that she passed her Medical Exam with flying colors. Now we are only one step away, her interview is on 21st APR, pray for us and wish her goodluck. It will be close to a year when the last time we seen each other. All of those stressed that she worried about medical was now in her back, she felt 10 lbs lighter. They took her passport, pictures, and fee of about PHp 10,500, and today gave her vaccinations paper and everything will be forwarded to the USEM. I will post a follow up on these one after her interview on 21st, April. Between now and Tues she will review and organize her documents again. hi! i'm just wondering.. I payed Banco de Oro the amount needed for the interview which is $131.. they gave me a validated DS 137 form.. however, it was just now that i realized that they gave an expired form ( expiry was 09/30/2008). I went back to the bank but they said that they didn't receive any memo yet of the new form so that's what they're still giving out.. i tried printin the new form however, the bank wouldn't validate it because they claimed its a different date already.. they could only validate again if it was on the same date that i paid for it. will my expired form be a problem? help pls.. thanks..

has anyone ever gotten their visa delivered without the tracking number ever showing up on the Air21 website? I'm not worried if my fiancee gets a text that it will be delivered, I'm tracking the website and calling the embassy every day. I was just curious if sometimes the tracking number never shows anything.

Oh, and I called the embassy today and they checked our case number and said it is in processing and is guaranteed to ship out within 10 days. Anyone else ever heard this?

Yes my fiancee is from Mondanao and we both tried tracking the visa delivery on air 21 web site but it never worked. She received her visa in 4 or 5 days. You can also call air 21 and ask a status and give them your fiancee's cell number and they will text her when delivery is.

Is she pregnant now? Or trying to get pregnant? No offense, but why get pregnant before you are united? I would imagine it'd be a lot easier/enjoyable for the both of you to experience this time together rather than apart. In any case, best of luck.

Hi, I went to St. Lukes yesterday to have my Day 1 medical done. I am with my daughter with a K2 category. minors dont do lab test so I had my xrays and all the lab stuffs. She had a skin test and I didn't had mines. I have a question, how do you know if the skin test will be positive? Remember the doctor encircled around the skin test shot? How is that ba? if the red mark goes outside the encircled portion, is that the indication that she is positive of TB? Hers is like red just within the circle, it didn't go over that. But if it does, is that positive of TB and what will happen? She can't travel with me anymore?

I'm an applicant for a K-1 VIsa.. ALL my papers are done.. I'm all set, execept I got a very late interview appointment... I called earlier this morning March 25, 2009... ANd the call center said that the only available slot is April 24, 2009... Our target date for departure is mid-April... How can I get an earlier appointment???? PLEASE PLEASE I BADLY NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

Most likely you have enough documentation... I guess it depends if Manilla is looking for 2008 returns yet. Check in the PI Regionals for more on that.

I saw some threads here about how they organized their documents for the interview.

I just want to ask if it's ok to combine the packet that we sent to USCIS with the proofs that I will show to the embassy. Like the emails, chats, etc. Will the consul look at the original forms that we sent to USCIS or I should just print a new copy of our proof of relationship and do not touch the packet that we sent.

Because i only printed the recent emails, chats, etc. and planning to just put the proofs that we sent before. Is it ok?

If your income is sufficient, you may simply leave blank all questions relating to assets.

hi there...i already filled out and printed the DS-156 form but when i was reading it again... made a mistake on the month of my ex-spouse...i accidentally click my birth month of September instead of December? is it ok to make and print another one? or that will change the barcode and mess up the form... any help please...thanks what's the best thing to do... Information only goes to the barcode that's generated each time . You can retype and print as many different ones as you want.

I plan to start the k1 visa process within the next 3 months after i return from the philippine to meet requirment for having met in person in the last to year (btw this will be our 3rd meeting). Do the people here on VJ feel it wise to retain a immigration attorney or service for this process?

i do every thing myself and got approved no RFE I use the visajourney to help i just read plus you have money too , it just depend on if you had some problems in your past, wish you luck

Today I learned how it feels... We've got our approval today as well. I didn't even know about it. I was working on a problem at work with my boss sitting right next to me at almost 5:00 PM EST and Nadya sends me this message saying that we were approved...I couldn't believe it....

It was the best 30 minutes driving commute from work in my entire life...emotions were uncontrolable.

Best Valentine's gift I could have ever asked for.

My wife got her K-1 visa in April and came to the US in May alone. We decided to leave her girls with her parents until we were ready to pick them up, so we came a couple of weeks ago and got the medicals done and packet III forms completed.

The k-1 and k-2 process is virtually the same once the petition gets to the embassy. You can do the fiancee and kids at the same time or you can choose to have the kids "follow to join" you at a later time (within 1 year).

Whether you decide to do them at the same time or follow to join, they need to fulfill the same requirements and pay the same visa fee ($131 each person). The only difference is that kids (under 14 I think) do not need a chest x-ray, bloodwork, or HIV test. They just need a medical exam.

My wife came to the US in May on a K-1 and we got married shortly thereafter. Now, we came back to Costa Rica to pick up her two little girls (3 and 5).

The K-2 interview was different than the K-1 interview for us. We were only asked 3 questions:

1. Have we settled in well in the US?

2. Are we all set to bring the girls home?

3. Do the girls have any health problems?

Then he said "everything looks good" and approved us. He asked us to sit and we'd be called up to tell us when to come pick up the passports.

The whole interview lasted about 8 minutes, with most of the time him reviewing the paperwork. We arrived 11:55am and left at 1:30pm. We waited about an hour after getting our number. Then once we turned in all the paperwork to the screener, we were called up to the window within 15-20 minutes. There were people waiting who came before us, but they called us up fast, probably because we had the kids with us. They know kids get impatient fast and start making noise, so they wanted to get rid of us. We're going home on Thursday.

Well .. .today I had another NVC approval letter.... I have no idea what the ***S%^*** is going on............I want my NOA2 its been now 2 week after touch on 10/31/2008...

I called to USCIS...told me same that case still pending.....then why I got NVC letter? but No NOA2..

they told me to file I-824...to get Duplicate Approval Notice.... n pay $340 another wait time 6 month for that ..

But I haven't got any NOA2 in mail 2 week...If they didn't mail me then HoW m I have...

I m now really driving crazy. .. I have a lot patient but now I m Loosing all..**F** .....I will wait 2 more day see....if its come on moday or tuesday ....
