oopinkoo - finally i got a letter from medicaid today na pinagpapasa kame ng iba pang docs, nway nagtataka lang ako baket kaya nakalagay ako or name ko ang head of the household, yung sa iyo ba naka address sa iyo or sa hubby mo? or baka naman nagkamali sa pag fill up yung asawa ko hehehe. nway napasa ko na sa drop box last monday pero now lang ako nakareceive ng snail mail kaya ifafax ko na lang bukas with their cover letter para sigurado, kaso naging complicated since ako head of household pupunta pa ko sa last employer ko at magpapafill ng paper works confirming im jobless now, ganun pa man i aattach ko na rin same documents under sa asawa ko at sana naman makapasa na...

kaya mga preggy iwasan ang stress!!! okey...ingat kayo lagi!!! and take it slow..

kasi april ako nanganak while i was in the hosp meron na naginterview sa amen about emergency medicaid nga daw. tapos we got a letter from a social worker na ipasa nga daw yung docs na iba para maprocess sigur di pa approcve yung emergency medicaid kaya bumababa pa yung bills, akala ko kasi automatically iaaply na rin nila si baby ng medicaid. pero few weeks after i gave birth inapply ko na si baby sa internet ng medicaid, everyday check ko sabi verification process daw wala naman nagbabago then two days ago pagkita ko sa account namen denied daw so tinawagan ko yung hotline nila kulang daw ng papers, sa totoo lang walang snail mail o tawag kame nareceive from them almost one month and half na since we applied nagpunta kame yesterday agad sa DCF office pinadrop lng s drop box yung papers wala man lang tanong tanong sbi for review it will take 6o days kaya either wait or apply na lang ulit, grabe pag tumawag ka naman sa hotline puro automated voice agent nakakaupset na parang wala kang matinong makausap.

ah pumasa kame sa wic kasi nung preggy ako part time job lang meron si hubby tapos ako minimum wage lang so pasado, now naman na nagapply kame for the baby nakapasa kasi si hubby lang may work ako wala, umabot pa naman kame sa bracket nakabitin ba" awa ng diyos. kaso ang takaw na ni baby yung supply sa kanya monthly sakto kaya i hope s next appointment namen sa kanila eh dagdagan nila yung supply hehehe pero okey lang kahit hindi kasi laki ng tulong nila sa gatas.

sa water naman ni baby dito sa jacksonville okey taw yung tap water for baby pero ako nursery water gamit namen mura lang naman iba na yung safe 101% di ba. sa diapers naman nung nagbaby shower ako iyun asked ko sa kanila diapers different sizes kaya dame pa kame stock hehehe pero nagiipon din ako pag sale "para akong langgam" hehehe.

nakakatawa nga CS ako then i had my first week check up after the cs operation ang mahal ng binayaran ko pero guess what sino naglinis ng incision ko "ako" kasi yung resident doc tiningnan nya lang yung incision site ko without taking off the gauze sabi nya everything's look good, ako pa nagsabi arent u gonna clean it? sbi nya hayaan mo na lang magfall sbi ko i want it to be cleanse, sbi nya i have so many patients im the only resident dr today. if u want feel free to do it by yourself, hayun ako naglinis ng tahi ko sa clinic" she said i will see you after 6 weeks.ginawa ko hinabol ko nagpaprescribe ako ng birth control pills. wala ng nga siyang turo turo. thank you na rin kahit pano nga may alam ako inaaply ko na lang sa sarili ko. naisip ko lang yung mga iba na patients na pinapabalik balik.

ive been reading this forum for so long now but never had a chance na magpost kasi sobrang busy ako throught out my pregnancy dahil meron ako full time job nun and same time nahirapan talaga ako sa pagbubuntis ko, but nway nakakatuwa naman etong forum na to kasi dame talaga natutulungan.

and now dumating na yung chance for me na magpost, meron kasi ako few questions na nagbabaka sakali ako na yung ibang mommies may idea about sa aking problema, and it will really help me, us alot.

but before that share ko muna story ko.

i got here in usa may 2009, the sept we found out im pregnant, during those days i just started working and yung husband ko nagaaral p rin and merong part time job. iyak tlga ako ng iyak kasi natatakot ako for my baby kung afford ba namen lahat kasi yoko naman maghirap ang baby namen because back then nagsesettle pa rin kame para lahat and nasa adjustment period p rin ako.

wala rin alam yung husband ko about medicaid nor yung family nya, so nag search lng ako s net. then we went s isang health center dito s jacksonville and grabe din experiences namen bago makausap ang social worker, tinulungan nya kame sa application ng medicaid then she told me temporary lang medicaid ko kasi wait pa ko approval, to make the story short 2 months ako under temporary medicaid after that they terminated my medicaid because they told us im not eligible because im not a us citizen or i havent been residing in the usa for 5 years and more. grabbeeee ang hirap kasi wala kame insurance so buti na lang yung social worker ko binigyan me ng clinic card para sa mga check up' na meron akong 35% discount sa prenatal care dito sa clinic na to' but ultrasound and those some special check ups di neto covered so grabe din ang bayarin. kahit pano ang mganda na lang ay meron kameng WIC and sabi makakaaaply raw kame ng emergency medicaid once na asa hosp na ko at nanganak.

okey naman yung clinic, mabait yung nurse practioner ko at medical attendant ko but the rest of the staff ang susungit. tinest nila ko for down syndrome and it turned out positive so sobrang devastated tlga kme then nirefer nila kame sa genetic counselor at some genetic ultrasound at ang mahal mahal 3 session din and they found out mali lng yung calculation ng age of gestation ng baby ko kaya napaaga ang withdrawal ng blood sample sa aken. but these genetic counselor ayaw kame tigilan dapat magamniocentesis p ko para sure, the next appointmet ko di ko na pinuntahan.

after that nagpacheck up ako at parang walang alam s mundo yung nurse practioner ko, ako pa nag susuggest ng ganito at ganire n doon nagsimula n magdoubt ako s knila but need to continue my check up kasi wala ako option, kahit pano inaalagaan ko n lng sarili ko kasi may kunting alam ako dahil nurse ako sa aten.

breech ang baby ko then on my 3rd tri di nila ko neleleopolds or kinakapa position ng baby ko sabi ko gusto mag pa ultrasound kasi alam ko di nagbabago position ng baby ko, hindi daw necessary kasi iikot p daw. okey 2 i was in my 33 weeks my husband shaved my ehem nag karoon ako ng isang bump, at ako p nagmention nun s kanya at nag request ako further check up at this time sbi nila vertex position n baby ko na duda p rin ako.

my next chek up okey daw culture ng bump ko, at ininternal exam ako ng 2 nurse practioner everything were okey daw. next check up okey p rin daw lahat.

on my 37 weeks check up pagbalik ko okey daw, im about to leave sbi nyaait itake mo tong preprescribe ko n gamot "acyclovir" alam ko yung gamot n yun so i asked sabi nya kasi positive daw ako sa herpes, i asked how did it happened, sbi nya i dont know with you you can answer you own ques sabay i have to go ####### di ba? ako lng pacheck up nun wit my mom inlaw so di ko sinabi di ko binili gamot, iyak ako ng iyak, sinabi ko s husband ko sbi nya lilipat kame ng ibang clinic or kahit ubusin na namen savings namen. di ako nakatulog nung gabi n yun halos gumuho mundo ko.

then the next morning i woke up to pee, ayun my bag of water broke, i took a bath at sobrang calm down baka kasi mapektuhan si baby.

8am-8pm i had my labor, actually 2pm p lng ng try try n ko mag push, fully effaced and dilated n ko by 2pm, hirap n hirap n nga ako, sbi nila di daw ako marunong magpush, at ang tigas daw ni baby sa right side ko, sbi ko check nila kasi i believe breech ang baby ko. sbi nila di daw vertex daw no need for ultrasound, by 6pm nag palit na ng shift mga nurses tinuturuan nila ko magpush n hawak towel by 7pm i beg one of the nurse sbi ko baka mainfect baby ko or baka magpopo na ang baby s tagal so ics n lng ako, iyung isang nurse sbi nya wala daw buhok baby ko sobrang kinis daw ng ulo. nagbeg ako ulit s isang nurse sbi nya ie nya ko "then ahe called the doctor ie ako ng doctor and nagkakagulo n sila ultrasound ako agad ng oo nga breech ang baby ko pwet p la yung sinasabi nilang ulo" n emergency cs ako.

sobrang sumabog n yung ehem ko at exhausted ako emotionally, physically, pinachek ko rin pala sa ob yung "herpes daw" so blood test and ni review nya papers and nakipagconnect sya clinic ko alam nyo "my nurse practioner messed up" sa ibang patient lab result p la yun, kasi nung time n kinausap nya ko ang pagkakamali ko nagiiyak ako at di ko nabasa yung lab result. tinest din ako sa hosp ng some lab test at negative ako s herpes.

so i gave birth to a wonderful baby boy thaks god at ligtas ang baby ko. although di namen sya napacircumcise kasi maliit pa yung ####### nya, then undescended yung testicles nya n common naman daw pag pre mature ang baby, baba naman daw yung in 4 months pag hindi i susurgery iyun.

so far bumababa nanaman na so we are really praying n magtuloy tuloy, before 1st bday nya namen sya papacircumcise.

hindi ko naisip magdemanda kasi di ko lam kung saan ako dapat pumunta, okey naman baby namen dun p lng nagpapasalamat n ko, at syempre nalinis din yung medical record ko n wala ako herpes.

since nagpupush ako ang dame ultrasound check up ng baby ko at sana nakapagstay p sya sa womb ko ng 2-3 weeks more para nagmature yung testicles nya but minor things lng naman, and utang ko pa rin sa knila kahit pano na nakaraos ako, kameng magina.

nway may caseworker na nagpunta sbi nya for emergency medicaid daw sa delivery ko, but till now bumababa ang bills namen magina halos 15,000 n nga. matagal b tlga maapprove? automatically b may medicaid n si baby?

1 month and half n ksi walang medicaid call kame natatangap, nagapply husband ko via internet di kame tinawagan nor wala din letter everyday check ko application namen online wala namang bago until yesterday saw we were denied kasi kulang daw docs namen.

meron b tiga florida dito know how to get nedicaid for their newborn babies?

as of now turning 2 months n baby ko, and both of us la na discount clinic cards so tlga namang from our pocket mag duedue n mga vaccines nya kaya hinahabol ko medicaid nya. pinapauwi n nga muna ko sa p.i sgot n daw ng family ko dun basta ako n plane ticket kasi di naman ganun kamahal doon eh. kaso ayaw magpaiwan ng asawa ko hehehe working n kasi sya pero napupunta lng din sa monthly bills, and student loans at full time house wife and mom n ko kaya wala ring sobra...

andrew and evelyn: ano yung insurance ng baby mo ng 8$/monthly, under b sya s husband mo or selfpaying insurance? or may alam b kyo n cheap lng, balak ko kasi ikuha n lng si baby. pagod n rin kasi ko sa mga computer operators dito s katatawag s mga transactions s medicaid.

i got here in usa last May under k1 visa then applied for my ssn in my maiden name same month. then june we got married after 3 weeks i was hired to work in a nursing home. they didnt care to ask me about ead all they want is my alien number and my social security card under my maiden name. i went to ss office to change my ss card to my married name but then the officer told us just come back when i get my green card then they will replace my card to my married name. i was so worried and asked if im legally allowed to work. the officer told me YES because i have my ss card already. i passed my aos last july and just finished my biometrics. i even filled up my 1485 the company name xurrently working at and my position to this company.

Your husband fills out I-864 and you mom-in-law fills out I-864A. Does your father-in-law work? If they file taxes jointly, then your mom-in-law should include her husband, you and your husband (as dependents) .

You would only put "1" since just your mom-in-law is sponsoring (is her income (alone) sufficient for the level needed?)

If you are using anothers income, you would answer with the amount . Since you said just your mom-in-law is sponsoring, you would not include her husbands.

If both your in-laws sponsor, they would both need to put in 864a's and you would list their incomes. (with yours if you use it).

(your husband still will need to fill out an 864)

If you use your income, you would add it to your husbands income - to help meet the requirement.

2 then in question number 24. letter b. income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household (including, in certain conditions, the intending immigrant. please indicate the name, relationship and income. should my husband put his mother and father's income even technically my husband and his parents dont combine income to support us. and im now working temporarily just started 3 weeks ago should my husband declare my income too.

pls help. its so confusing to us.

You don't have to report your marriage with the immigration because that's what the AOS --adjustment of status-- is for. If you want to report your marriage, you do it with the Philippine Consulate, but if I were you, I will focus on AOS first, since you have a year to inform Philippine Consulate about your marriage. SS is not needed for the AOS. If you want to save yourself from going back and forth to SSA, I'd change the maiden name into married one after you got the EAD or GC. It's because if you change it now, you will still receive your SS card with the notation that you cannot work unless DHS authorized. That notation will be removed from your card once you received either EAD or GC. So basically, you'll have another trip back to SSA.

Syanga pla pag kukuha ka State ID need mo din SSN tska kelangan kuha ka state ID at least a month bago ma-expire I-94 mo or else papabalikin ka pag may EAD or GC kna.

oo girls, yun din pagkakaalam ko just go back so ss office present your marriage certificate then they wil change your id to to your married name. ang nakakaasar pa the first time i went there to get my ssn card in my maiden name the black guy was so kind and he told me just go back there after we get married para ma change id ko sa married name ko. then we got back yesterday there i ended up with a filipino officer and he told me pumunta ko sa local office ng imigration and report my marriage tapos balik na lang ako dun pag may stamp na passport ko ng k3 visa. badtrip na badtrip tlaga ako kasi i explained everything he said mali info ako.

kaya eto im wondering if mga k1 visa holder dito after u got married ba nagreport pa kayo sa local office ng immigration. or aos na agad.

ano ba tlga gawin after marriage? kasi alam ko report sa phil embassy yung marriage then gather paper for aos and do your aos.

anyone from jacksonville or florida who got their ssn card in their married name and ganun din ba sabi ng ss officer.

Hi Im in Florida too and I went to Jacksonville,FL for my biometrics for AOS and EAD last April 24.

I went to SSA 1week after my entry here in the US then went back after we got married to changed it to married name..the girl who assisted me when I applied for ssn told me to come back after we got married and just bring our marriage certificate and my passport with my I-94 on it and didn't encounter any problem even the girl who assisted me to changed my ssn to married name is not the same girl who assisted me when I applied for ssn.

I dont know the report of marriage at the Immigration..wlang service nun sa local immigration office,masasayang lng oras mo.If I were you tawag ka uli sa SSA office nyo then ask mo kung ano need mo to change your ssn to married name then pag sinabi na marriage certificate lng at yung passport mo....punta ka in person then sbhin mo na tumawag ka at yun lng pnapadala sau,or hanapin mo yung black guy na nag-assist sayo nung nag-apply kna ssn mo.Ang iba kc na staff sa SSA mga wlang alam pagdating sa mga immigration status natin.

You only need to report your marriage at the Philippine Embassy for renewal or amendment of passport...not for changing ssn to married name..hndi yun requirements.

we just got married first day of june, finally our marriage certificate arrived, we dont know now whats the next step to do? because we went to ss office yesterday to change my name in my ssn card( which under my maiden name) to my married name but the officer didnt allowed me he said i need to report our marriage in the local office of immigration and this office will give me stamp in my passport and after that the officer in ss office told me to show it to them and they will allow me to change my name. im now residing in jacksonville florida. any one who knows where is the local office of immigration here.

1. go back to ss office change your name to married name.

2. report your marriage to the phil embassy here in florida.

3. i get my state id

4. can get driver's license

i just got here a week ago in FLORIDA under k1 visa for 7 days i stayed with my fiance in his old apartment

( this was the address we used in all of our k1 visa transactions).

Then 4 days ago we just moved to a new apartment. my question is DO WE NEED TO CALL USCIS OR ANY OFFICE TO INFORM THEM THAT WE JUST MOVED AND THIS IS OUR NEW ADDRESS?

Im about to apply for my ss this friday (so i can use my maiden name and just rechange name to maried name later on) and next week get marry.

since i got here a week ago, my fiance and i were figuring what are the next steps and things to do. hope anyone can help us with this.

you know guys my fiance got me etickets sa expedia site. and since kunti na alng yung seats sobrang mahal then plus the tax and he paid fee for paper ticket. i thought i wil just need to ptin the email ticket and can show it in tha airport but my fiance told me yesterday that my paper ticket and boarding pass were on its way na he sent it via fedex, so ayun totally ang mahal mahal ng ticket sana nga dito na alng ako sa pinas kumuha ng ticket.

anyway im taking PAL its my first time to travel outside asia, tama ba 50lbs/23kgs per check inn baggage then one hand carry na below 40pounds then one personal bag. tapos kasi pag asia lang usually 2 hours before the flight, one time nga an hour before the flight na try ko na eh. muntik na kame maiwan ng eroplano hehehehe so pag international outside asia di ba 4-3 hours before the flight dapat dun ka na.

girl pakipost na lang when you are decided na to reschedule your interview date.

ive been calling usem since last week of march last week din before holy week pero wala ako nakuha early slot. pero yesterday my fiance called up usem na move lang ng one day earlier yung schedule ko ayun.

well just a piece of advice lang girl,

kasi dapat nung march 30 yung interview ko since my fiance submitted my docs mga 21 or march natakot ako nag pareschedule agad ako to april 23 yun na lang kasi pinaka early that time, though sinubmit ng fiance ko docs via usps na very extremely urgent my fiance told me he paid a lot for it and it wil reach me in 3-4 days i didnt believed because alam mo naman phil post naten ang bagal bagal you know what we rescheduled my interview on march 20 ng april 23 nga though pede naman ako maglast call sa usem ng 28 pero nagpanic ako, tapos march 24 andito na sa doorstep ko yung docs ayun tawag na naman kame usem then early date nilg ng interview was may 3 na eto ive waited about amonth longer para sa upcoming interview ko.

kaya wait ka na lang muna till friday pagwala pa tlga saka mo na lang reschedule ulit.
