  1. What we did is immediately married One week after my wife entered the united states, Honolulu hawaii 2 years ago. That is our legal, official marriage. We will renew our vows in the philippines late 2011 or early 2012. Once you marry your fiancee in the united states, go to you philippine consulate and register your marriage in the philippines. The consulate will forward and take care of everything including her new passport with change of name. Your second would be considered a renewal of vows where ever you are. Hope this helps....

  2. Hi everyone! I just wanna ask if one meeting is okay to file the I-129F form? will there be any problem about that? me and my fiancee chatted for like 7months and its everyday on skype! =) and he came here last march 04,2011 ( his staying for 21days so it means his still here until friday hehe) but the question is will that be a problem? do you think they will suggest for meet ups? because for us we are pretty sure 100% we love each other so much and we both believe its enough for a proof =) and also does age dif matters a lot ???????? im 19 and his 30 so its like 11years older than me tho he feels and act like 18 haha! jk but anyways hope someone can answer my questions! thanks everyone and godbless

ok, I am not a expert, but here you go. first of all age doesn't really matter as long as you have the proof of meeting within the last two years and petitioner has all proof and documents that he was there in person with you. Itineraries, pictures, hotel/motel receipts with both your names if possible (if not no real problem.)copy of passport page with entry stamp into Philippines. Visa journey has a good check list for petitioner filing I129F for K1 visa. Take the checklist and follow exactly. Keep two copies of what is submitted to USCIS WITH PETITION. Again, I don't want to make this a long story, but age doesn't matter, but make sure this is true love and not something fake. USCIS IS very good in checking for fake or forged marriages. I am very happily married to my filipina wife, and when I filed for the fiancee visa it only took less than five months for her to be in the United states.

  3. that is totally untrue, do not believe it. K1 are fairly easy as long as you have all the proof and documentation that is needed while filing. It is easier than before. Total time it took us once I file the K1 I29f until my fiancee had her visa in hand was less then 5 months.

My boyfriend asked a few lawyers in New York recently. All of them told him that K1 application is getting so difficult now, because there have been so many people went with fake intent to get married. The goverment is not buying most of the stories now. So it's almost impossible to get to america with a K1 visa.

Did anyone hear about this too? Could this be true?

  4. I wish you the best. GOOD LUCK! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, YOU CAN DIRECT TO ME OR SHOULD I SAY MY WIFE AND I HERE. I WENT THROUGH ALOT ON OUR JOURNEY TO K-1 VISA. I DO NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU SOMEWHAT A LOT. HOPE YOU FIND SOMEONE TO KEEP YOU COMPANY INSTEAD OF BEING ALONE THROUGH THIS. I WAS LUCKY TO BE WITH MY WIFE THROUGH IT ALL..

  5. I`m here again asking for your help.

We are waiting for our NOA2 now. The problem is, my fiance didn't make a copy of the entire package that he sent to the CSC.

I have read that he should make a copy of everything. Will there be a problem if he wasn't able to do this?

Should he need to send me all of the copies after we get our NOA2?

    Thanks in advance!

It would have been best if he made at least two copies of everything he submitted with the I-129f package. Not a problem if he did not, but if for some reason you get an RFE and you have to go back to what was sent, you are out of luck. I had a RFE and needed to go back to what I sent, so I was lucky I made the copies. If not for the RFE, would have made no difference.

  6. can anyone tell me if we need to provide birth certificate of my fiancees dependent who is 23 years old that we can not petition to come with us? We are trying to figure this out. My fiancee will call the embassy tomorrow, but was just wondering if anyone new the answer. Thank you....

  7. Ok I feel so stupid now. I received notification of an RFE being sent to me on 090116. I am waiting for it to see what I need to answer. Low and behold I am reading your post about part C of the I129f and I could slap myself. I thought all of Part C was for Military serving overseas, so I never answered 1, 2 & 3 of part C. Did I do wrong? Looking at it now I think that is the reason for my RFE. I will wait and see. Thanks for any info anyone can give me.

  8. Hello everyone!

After 8 touches when I thought today was the day I was getting my NOA2, I got an RFE instead. Today I got the email notice for it, so should be receiving it in a few days. I think I may know what it is for after reviewing this wonderful thread. It might be for Part C #2, where you have to answer "yes" or ''no".

The thing is that I hired an attorney for the paperwork, and when I sent in my I-129F in August 2008, the form I used was this one: Form I-129F revised 11/24/06, and now, when I look at the USCIS website, the form is UPDATED as: revised 07/30/07 and the one prior to that (11/24/06) does not contain a section for the "yes" or "no" in part C #2, the newer updated 07/30/07 one contains this part to answer "yes" or "no".

Other than this reason for the RFE I cannot think of anything else, especially after extensive research here on VJ, nothing else comes to mind...so I will post back once I get the postal mail notice and hopefully I will be able to send back to CSC whatever they requested the day after, if not the same day, I was really hoping for my NOA2, and this RFE was a rude surprise!

Anyone else get an RFE for the reason I mention above?

    Please share!

    Thanks!
