I would like to know from somebody that is waiting for CR-1, IR-1 interview in DR, How have been your expirience, share it, I am waiting for my interview and good like to to talk to somebody, There's not a lot of Dominican in VJ, puede tambien responder en Espanol sobre su experiencia en su entrevista de su visa CR-1

I hope they treat us good, I have heard must of the people is treated good, but some not, so would see!!!!

my case have been close in the nvc, I am waiting for mu interview!!!

When they end the case they are going to send her a letter, normally a month before telling where and when, and the documents, and the interview will be where she has legal status residency....

You Must Call the NVC, they schedule the interviews every 3 weeks, they are working with the December already!

I am a wife of a US citizen, My Husband is living with me in My Country, the NVC requested the same thing for us PROOF OF DOMICILE, we just sent A Copy of his Driving liscense and a copy of his absentee voting later, and that was enough, They Just close my case In NVC.

They have never e mail me or my husband

[its frustraring I have almost 2 years waiting, we just have to keeep waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Husband got desperate with the visa process, and he moved to my country, at least we are waiting for this case together, Its hard to be far from the person you love! my advice is be patient for all of the people is in this situation.

If I married my fiancé(e) (K-1), what happens to the case?

If you have filed an I-129F petition for a K-1 visa for your fiancé(e) and then proceeded to married him/her, the immigrant visa (IV) Unit cannot interview you as if you were still engaged.

Now that you are married, you must file an I-130 petition for your spouse (CR-1 visa). As soon as the National Visa Center notifies you that they have received your approved petition from the Department of Homeland Security Service Center, you may contact the call center to request an interview as a married couple. Please visit the following link for information on how to contact the call center: http://www.usemb.gov.do/Consular/iv-s-contact.htm. The Consular Section understands the fact that you have already waited for the K-1 interview and will schedule your interview for a CR-1 visa as soon as possible.

Carefully read the instructions from the National Visa Center regarding preparing for your interview for the CR-1 visa. Although some of the documents required for the CR-1 visa for a spouse are the same as those for the K-1 visa for a fiancé(e), some are different. For example, the interview for a CR-1 visa for your spouse requires an Affidavit of Support, Form 1-864, with supporting documents.

Remember! It is up to you to let us know that the National Visa Center has received an approved CR-1 petition for your spouse.

we applied for a k1 visa before the cr1, because the waiting list in my country where having more than 30,000 aplicant, and they were working with only 1500 cases a month, now is much faster because the NVC is procesing the case, Should I call the nvc and set an interview, my case is still there.

ONE MORE THING LILY .....please post your time line in detail ...tell us what exactly happened all those 4 times A to Z ....when you sent docs to NVC ...Then whole VJ community are here to help you to get out of NVC ASAP ...Donot worry about past things ....Think from now on ...we all here to help you lily.

I am doing everything they tell me to do my case from february 2007, my husband got desperate and is living with me in my country, but we want to movw to US, because he doesnt speak my language, and is strugiling here, So I dont know, his parents are doing everything possible for us to move to the US, they are the Sponsor for the Aos, What can I do for moving this faster

Can you post address that you sent ??? So we can verify whether you used right address or not?? Its unsual for NVC to lose the documents... unless some boooo boooo took place somewhere on track ...

I always make sure I send everything in the way the request, they admit that the recivied but the problem is they say that I dont send all the documents , but I know I send all the documents,. Another thing was when they request for a divorce cetrificate of a previus divorce, I did sent that and they repiled saying that the divorce was not final, but It was in fact, is says I pronun the divorce between....... and....... then by the sentence number xxxxxx, then I sent the same documents again and they aceepted, I am not the problem, they are the problem, I just dont have good luck!

I find it hard to beleive...i think more then likly you either sent them to the wrong place or you send the wrong forms or evidence. I could see them losing it once...maybe the mail lose it once but 5 times? I find that hard to beleive. In some forums I would consider this a troll post.

What kind of documents which you already sent ? is it the same paper they request?

There are many possibilitties why the docs is lost, you can speak and check with supervisor .

or you should write official complain regarding lossing documents.

I know it sound crazy, but I am sure I always send the right documents to the right place, my husband always see it before, my parents always do it to, I mean they havent lost the same documents 5 time, they have lost diferent documents 5 diferent times. I will contact then soon.

Well, I always make sure, I put the correct adress, t I know they get the documents because they send me a letter saying they recieved, but there LWAYS mising one, for example in one package they requested a birth certhifice and a marriage certificathe, I am 100%sure I sent both, but they say they only recieved one of then, or they come to contact me telling to send something that they already have, this is frustraring, this long wait, we will have the second anniversary soon from the petition was made.

this is the first time ive heard of such a thing, wow a year at NVC! and losing your documents 5x! maybe you should handcarry your documents and deliver them straight to nvc. and then let the operators sign "received" or something like that. im serious.

I have sent straigt nvc using fedex, I dont know why they do this to us, my husband and I are desperate!
