    Hi Guys,

    congratulations to everybody whom got approval recently - and I wish strenght whom are waiting for it.

    I just wanted to share my experience with you about the updates online. About the "misterious touches".

    My vawa casE was approved this April and my lawyer filed an applicatin for AOS this Jun.

    After the Bio - July 30th - I was checking my case online every single day ... then one day a said to myself: this is not neceseary. Everything happens when it has to happen.

    That day my lawyer called me that they sent me a NOA with my interview-date!

    I could't believe this miracle, so I checked my case-status online right away - but there were no touches, no updates, NOTHING!

    So I neviously called her back about my concerns, and she replied: NEVER MIND THE COMPUTER! I HAVE THE NOTICE ON MY DESK!!!

    I was puzzled, I had to pinch myself ...

    And YES, THERE WAS AN INTERVIEW DATE.

    And YES, WE WENT TO THE INTERVIEW ... AND YES, THEY APPROVED MY AOS!!!!

    But the thing is: online update appeared only AFTER MY INTERVIEW!!!

    So ... you never know ...

    Please, everebody stay strong. Something GOOD IS COMING!!!

    Hi I want to ask if you filed AOS is it necessary to get an Atty to file it?

    Biker what state r u in? I was told I couldn't use Prima Facie to renew Driver's license, also need a social security card..

    How's everyone doing? I hope to hear some good news. If anyone can answer this question for me, I would really appreciate it. If one needs a certification or declaration from a doctor/therapist/priest, for proof of abuse does one have to tell them of their "status"? I went to see a therapist in 2006 until 2007 and talked about my "marriage situation" but did not tell her that I had a pending petition. I received an RFE last week and I need declaration from her. Does she have to address it to USCIS? I just can not talk about my "status" and what I went through these last couple of years.

    I just wanna know if how much cost is the lawyer if you get lawyer?

    So when exactly did the cousin have time between between being treated like a 'slave' and all the physical abuse to already have another man lined up?

    I want to share my friend situation here in USA,, she is married but she's not happy to her husband coz her husband makes her as a slave girl ..

    They dont file AOS yet , but she has a other man who loves her and want to take care of her ..

    I was referring to this thread.

    This OP {and her cousin} seem to be all over the place on this one. It is beginning to look like there is something fishy about the whole thing...

    Thank you for the fast replies, but I told her if when her husband do it again take any photos that proof that she was abused and treated a SLAVE.. and report to the police.. I dont know if its helps to her or she will do what I say ..

    Thats why also she wanted to get divorced on him...she wasnt happy . she was abused..

    Hi,

    I want to share my friend situation here in USA,, she is married but she's not happy to her husband coz her husband makes her as a slave girl ..

    Whats gonna happen if she's going to her other man and file divorce to her husband? she dont have any documents to stay in USA coz as I said her husband doesnt file AOS yet ?

    any advices there or anything , I appreciated it much ..

    Surely the fact that the fiance/e become an immediate relative of a US citizen gives him/her some leway on that. (I heard this from a Lawyer).

    From USCIS = "Immediate relatives of a U.S. citizen can immigrate to the United States without being subject to any numerical restrictions,"

    I only ask because I have seen this question ALL around the board and it seems people have very different opinions that I would like to hear.

    you can be married to a USC and still be deported if you do not have "status"... The leeway you are granted is that as long as you entered with inspection then if you are married to a USC then your status can be "repaired" from inside the USA. But you still need to follow the process...

    My Interview date will be on Jan. 08, 2009 and it is well required that i should have the medical 1-2 weeks before my interview...But my problem is that i still dont have a medical sched., my fiancee have called for that appointment interview! So what should i do?Call st. lukes and ask for an appointment or just wait for an appointment coming from the embassy?

    hi. my interview is on january 7, 2009. so a day ahead of you.

    medical exams should be 1-2 weeks before the interview. but i might be having mine earlier because im pretty certain of having my period middle of this month or maybe the end. to be sure i will have it early.

    you can call USEM and ask them to email you the appointment letter for st. lukes - thats what i did.

    but you will also get one mailed to you. so now i have one that came by mail and one on my email account. either way, bring that form with you, your proof of payment, pictures, etc. (requirements for the medical exam are on the manila USEM website)

    you dont have to call for a medical exam schedule. all we have to do is show up at st lukes.

    its first come first case basis. so we should be there early morning so to finish it all in one day - if there are no findings.

    CFO seminar

    I had applied Passport last 2007, and I re apply new one last October 7,2008. I got the passoprt ..just October 31,

    I will be having CFO seminar this Dec .

    Do you think it will not be affect to my CFO seminar that why I have the passport already ?

    Hello hearth, It wil not affect your CFO seminar. Just bring the documents you need for the Guidance and Counseling. Good Luck :thumbs:

    why you re apply new passport did you lost it?if you do?

    i cant remember what form ask question if you lost your

    passport or how many passport do you have you need to

    answer it so it well not cost a problem in the future or during your interview

    i hope this well help i think it well not effect your cfo
