  1. Hello VJ,

I need info about getting nbi clearance in manila philippines. What are the requirements? How long do i need to wait to get that clearance? How much time do i need to spend at NBI office? I need that for visa. Please advice. Thank you

Hi,if you have been issued before a nbi clearance for travel abroad, you can just go to the malls or to any place where you could renew it and get it in a few minutes.but if this is just the first time that you'll be applying for a clearance, you need to go to nbi office and apply.there's no requirement to be sumbitted, just follow the steps in applying for NBI CLEARANCE.

good luck on your interview

yeah just bring with you an ID just in case. You will get the clearance the same day. it's actually fast now.

can we get nbi clearance during saturday?

  2. HI,

I want to thanks to jhcruz18, francis rohan and ruby jade for the very good advice. Yeah im hoping my flight wont be delay. I had my auntie in manila and she suggesting me to stay there one night before the day of appointment but for some reason my husband and i dont like that idea to stay there. I am looking forward for some tips during the interview, what should i need to do? PLS, anyone give me some sample like what they might going to ask me during the interview. I just want to be prepare. As of now, i got nervous during that day. Its a big day for me. And i am hoping that everything will turn fine.

  3. 1. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE THAT APPOINTMENT? IS IT ONE DAY AT US EMBASSY?...........It depends but usually half a day. but be prepared to stay longer[/font]

    2. FROM AIRPORT , HOW FAR THAT IS TO GO TO US EMBASSY?..........It depends too considering the traffic. Give yourself a good 30 minutes.

    3. IS IT FINE THAT I AND MY DAUGHTER WHO IS 8 MONTHS OLD BABY TO GO TO US EMBASSY? DO I NEED TO BRING SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME?..........Who is the beneficiary? If it is you, then just go alone. But if it is you and your daughter you have to bring her too. You won't be able to bring anyone with you.

    4. IS IT OK TO BRING SOME STUFF LIKE CELLPHONE, WALLET, BAG INSIDE?.........Bags and wallets are ok. But don't bring any electronic devices including cell phones.

    Good luck! God Bless!

THANKS FOR THE INFO. GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE FROM BOHOL TOO. THIS APPOINTMENT IS THE INTERVIEW OF MY BABY'S CRBA AND PASSPORT. IM STILL WONDERING HOW LONG MAY IT TAKE FOR THAT APPOINTMENT. SO I CAN MAKE RESERVATION FOR THE PLANE NOW.

i did my son's crba 2 months ago..and it just took us 3 hours to finish..

so if your schedule is 9 am you'll be out by 11 or 12..

but you need to be there an hour before or even 30 minutes before ur appointment.

    goodluck..

also, i have my aunt with me during that time, to hold my 3 month old baby while the consul is interviewing me.

the consul will just have to look at your baby for a second..and the rest is ur interview.

my schedule is 10:30. and the flight from bohol is 7:30 and arrive manila at 9, maybe that time should be fine, right? if you had schedule at 10:30?

pls, can you explain further why do i need to be there an hour before the appointment? do i need to do something else there?

thanks for the info. it helps

  6. Hi Mahinhin,

I understand your feeling now because I've been once on your positioned before the CRBA Approval of my son. I just want to share a bit of pieces regarding my experienced. During the Interview my husband went with me and my son. When I was giving birth my hubby is not around. What I brought during the interview is baby's medical record, my prenatal record, all ultrasound film attached the description on it. Baby's vaccination record. Your hospital record when you agve birth. They asked also our cards send via airmail, chatlogs and emails. But we didnt brough emails print out and chatlog, we didnt have problem regarding on that. bring everything proof of your meeting prior on baby's conception, like pictures and hotel reciept. Dont forget to bring western union receipt to show he supported you and baby.

    Hello-

Thank you so much for the informations, it helps a lot.Since i had no schedule yet for interview so I had still time to collect more evidence. What about your baby, was he undergo for a dna test? About medical record, i dont think if i could comply that. I was pregnant at that time but i didnt go to the doctor for prenatal check up. etc..just when i am pregnant for 7 months until giving babies birth, thats all.

  7. What if it is just a couple of proofs about conception? Its just pictures and birthcertificate of the baby.

if the consul is not satisfied then they will ask you for a DNA test.. it costs like $800 and you will ahve to wait for a couple of months..

are u married?? what about his passport entry/exit stamp? flight itinerary? hotel receipts?

yeah we're married. I dont like to have DNA test for my daughter. I know its confusing. Its just simply my husband is her father, the father of her birthcertificate. Its making me crazy sometimes to think about that. As of now, im sending docs through federal express. And i hope during the interview i could answer about conception. During the appoinment, i should bring the baby, right?

yes bring your baby... are you from the Philippines?

yes i am. My husband is in USA now

i see.. because USEM manila is very strict, a birth certificate alone cannot guarantee that they will approve your baby's CRBA/ US passport..

I saw a lot of applicants when I was there and they didn't bring enough proof so they were ask to undergo a DNA test..

my husband was with me during our appearance at USEM and they still request additional documents from us..

just comply every requirements in the checklist given to you by the ACS..

yes i already expect for that. i know it would be very hard for me at that time.and also my husband isnt here. for now im waiting for my visa interview. does it help for getting babies passport?
