  1. Washington DC is your Consolate since you live in FL.

Each Consolute has a outreach service and renewal of passport is one of those items.

They will be in Jacksonville, FL soon.

    6 - 7 December 2013 - Jacksonville, Florida

You can obtain information at: http://www.philippinesusa.info/news/3059/589/2013-Consular-Outreach-Schedule/

So watch the website for when they announce details. Then obtain an appt. Trisha did that this past Aug with the Chicago Consulate when they came up to MN. We were in and out with dual citizenship and passport renewal in less than one hour.

  2. Hi

Please check the below link for the exact requirement of K1 Visa

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

    Don't get confused.

Knowing what is needed for a K1 Visa is one of only 2 parts for a Philippines Citizen. they must also past Philippines Government requirements. Ability to Marry is one of those and CFO handles that. Since it is a Philippines requirement, necessary to leave the country, the US government does not cover it. But when the beneficary gets the visa from the USEM they are told that they must also go to CFO.

  3. You do not need to have written parental advice to apply for the K1 visa with the USEM. But CFO may very well require it. it is easy to get. Go to your local registar in the nearest town/city and they usually have a form. Your parents complete it and have it notarized. So you have time now, best to get it before the actiivty with the USEM and CFO pickup for you. It will help having it and keep your stress level down.

And yes Trisha had one but then again we did K3 and thus were married in Phil.

  4. Always go with tax transcripts. They are not the same as 1040's. Here is why:

    1. The tax transcript shows you did file since it comes from the IRS for the tax year in question.

    2. The 1040 does not show you filed. It shows you filled out the form but that is all it shows.

So a W2 and a 1040 does NOT equal a tax transcript. The tax transcipt is always the golden item to have over the 1040.

For your last question, they have no need to ask for a 1040 if you present the transcript.

  5. the bulkhead seat wtih the bassinet that they is very nice to get. So do call them in advance to get that. Otherwise: http://www1.philippineairlines.com/flights/all-about-baggage/free-baggage-allowance/travelling-philippine-airlines-pr-and-pal-express/

You will see on that link that intants get:

    Infant's Baggage

An infant may also be allowed one fully collapsible stroller or infant's carrying basket or infant's car seat subject to availability of space

  6. lest we forget about food, travel, traffic, etc. etc.

When Trisha came over hear I had a check list for items that we needed to review such as laundry, smoke detectors, garage door openers, garbage disposals, the list is long depeindg upon the background of your asawa. But is is also fun. I would do it all over again.

  7. the Philipino time and PhP + are minor items.

    Have you seen tampo yet?

How about the reverse use of he or she.

as pointed out english is second langague for most.

And there will be cultural differences.

Best thing to do it admit to each other there will be and to discuss them. They may be items that can not be changed but at least your aware of them.

  8. Hi, we just flew last week and the terminal fee is 550 and the travel tax is 1620 pesos. Yes they will both pay both fees

Correct it is 550 per person, age does not matter. We have had to pay that a few times with our son who at the time was under 1 year of age.

Now for the travel tax she needs to pay it. To avoid having to pay it for your son have him leave on his US passport. THen he does not.

  9. Magic Sing. It is something that they are familiar with and look on line. Got ours for about $200 a couple of years ago. A new chip each year until we had 4 chips in it at over 3000 songs. Then added a wirelss mic last year. Trisha loves it, so does our soon to be 3 yr old son and all of her friends do to.
