Don't get confused.

Knowing what is needed for a K1 Visa is one of only 2 parts for a Philippines Citizen. they must also past Philippines Government requirements. Ability to Marry is one of those and CFO handles that. Since it is a Philippines requirement, necessary to leave the country, the US government does not cover it. But when the beneficary gets the visa from the USEM they are told that they must also go to CFO.

City Hall. It is the same place you would apply for a marriage license. In your case you only need the advice letter.

You do not need to have written parental advice to apply for the K1 visa with the USEM. But CFO may very well require it. it is easy to get. Go to your local registar in the nearest town/city and they usually have a form. Your parents complete it and have it notarized. So you have time now, best to get it before the actiivty with the USEM and CFO pickup for you. It will help having it and keep your stress level down.

And yes Trisha had one but then again we did K3 and thus were married in Phil.

On item 5, Ask for it at immigration when you give them your passports. They put it into your passport.

Trisha has done it serveral times when she had her GC. No issues.

Assuming the GC and passport are under the same name you can.

If the GC is under the married name and the passport under your maiden name them also bring the marriage cert.

Your parents and fiancee woudl need to be counted plus any others in the household.

Always go with tax transcripts. They are not the same as 1040's. Here is why:

1. The tax transcript shows you did file since it comes from the IRS for the tax year in question.

2. The 1040 does not show you filed. It shows you filled out the form but that is all it shows.

So a W2 and a 1040 does NOT equal a tax transcript. The tax transcipt is always the golden item to have over the 1040.

For your last question, they have no need to ask for a 1040 if you present the transcript.

When you get your ticket ask them so they can get yoru seat since it requires bulkhead seats. Then when your on board ask a flight attendent for it. it is free.

Correct it is 550 per person, age does not matter. We have had to pay that a few times with our son who at the time was under 1 year of age.

Now for the travel tax she needs to pay it. To avoid having to pay it for your son have him leave on his US passport. THen he does not.

If they will not mail it to the US, you'll have to have it delivered to someone in Ph, and they can use DHL or FedEx to get it to you.

They will mail it, express, to the US. We have done that for our Sons birth certificate.

What you want is a tax transcript for each year. The IRS provides this.

Magic Sing. It is something that they are familiar with and look on line. Got ours for about $200 a couple of years ago. A new chip each year until we had 4 chips in it at over 3000 songs. Then added a wirelss mic last year. Trisha loves it, so does our soon to be 3 yr old son and all of her friends do to.

Other option is ditch the K-1 visa, get married elsewhere (obvious choice will be Phillipines) and then apply for CR-1.

or keep the k1. do a smaller wedding in US. Then a Vow renewal in Phil. The Vow Renewal can be the big one that everyone comes to.
