    PASSPORT/VISA INSIDE THE SEALED PLASTIC TOGETHER WITH THE YELLOW FOLDER

    hi everyone..great news here :dance: ..I finally got my visa today but i am worried coz my passport/visa is inside the sealed plastic together with the yellow folder...Why in the world was it placed inside when its already written there not to be opened :bonk: ...Did the USEM staff forget where it should be placed?? :no: I thought that as soon as I open the Air21 plastic, I can get my passport right away...Since its needed to take that out of the plastic, I carefully opened the plastic seal until I reached the passport inside and took it out and resealed and never opened nor touched the yellow envelop although from what I can see its my Form 156 and other papers...

    So guys, do u think I'm ok and the US Immigration Officer wont scold me?? Common sense will tell, how can I make use of the passport for CFo sticker, etc. if its inside the plastic .... :yes:

    am not sure about that,,for me thats alright at least you never open the packet....POE needs only the packet dont worry about that girl.....

    I want to know if my husband can travel out of united states in less than 6 to one year of arrival in the states while on a conditional resident visa (CR1)?

    i guess he can travel as long as his back in the states before the time on his conditional visa elapses or expires, other wise he can't come back in

    we've been to SSA aday ago and to apply an SSN but we found out that i have already an SSN applied by the USCIS the lady said i have to wait for few days to get my SSN card, and she said immigrant visa is very good for filing petition it is easy to live with no other applications when you arrive to US. Then the only thing you can do is to wait for your documents mailed by USCIS when you arrive in States. ( hmmmm so happy to hear )

    Green card and SSN

    hi everyone,

    just got here in US this month Aug.11,2009 for cr1 visa, just wondering how long will have to wait to my green card and SSN.

    Is there anyway to work before you get it?

    As a CR1 visa holder can we already work right after we receive the SSN, or should we have both SSN and GC to be able to do so?

    I am an American now. I had my ceremony thi s morning and all went well. It was a wonderful moment.

    We were about 120 people attending from all over the world, some very old and others not so old.

    While we were waiting, they played some songs from the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen etc...Everybody was relaxed and in a good mood. They opened the ceremony with a video, Faces of America, representing the diversity of the US population. Later, the director of the US immigration office came and gave a speech explaining the responsibilities coming with the citizenship and finally administered the Oath.

    Now that we were all citizens, they showed a video of Pres. Obama welcoming us as "fellow Americans" which I found to be pretty emotional and yes Tom you are right concluded with video of US sights and sounds over "I am a proud American" from Lee Greenwood. (That last part was really cheesy)

    Anyhow overall the USCIS did a great job with this ceremony.

    Thank you again for the support, my immigration journey is over. Good luck to all of the ones still waiting.

    September Interview Date

    VJ's got my interview date in September.

    September 8th in Bonbay embassy.

    Lets keep an track who get interview date in September. And try to stay to gather on various stages.

    And i have a first update as welll, i just told my spouse about interview date and she booked the Medical for today.

    Reason for early appoint ment is , some vaccine might require multiple doses and she can finish them while she is there.

    As of Monday, it will be 8 weeks since our case was completed at the NVC and still no word. I called yesterday and got the same answer they always give about the second week of the month scheduling. I've looked around and have seen many September appointments around the world, but not in Canada. Strange.

    i think just have to wait..good luck...

    POA Atlanta, missing connecting flight on purpose

    The cost of a one-way flight into Atlanta is much cheaper if I buy it for a different city that connects first in Atlanta. Since Atlanta is much different then most airports, I am a little worried.

    After immigration, you must rescreen your luggage as you are re-entering the concourse, not the airport. How can I prevent my luggage from being put on the connecting flight?

    just bring the largest carry on bag and dont bring any more luggage so that there will be no problem

    I have some questions, i got my visa today i am about to go to your office tomorrow for the CFO sticker for my visa, but it is NON_WORKING holiday for two consecutive days. And my flight will be this Aug.7, 2009 to US, is it okay if my visa doesn't have CFO sticker? What will I do? Please give me some good advice.

    Brunei Latvia Slovakia

    Czech Republic Liechtenstein Slovenia

    Denmark Lithuania South Korea

    Estonia Luxembourg Spain

    Finland Malta Sweden

    France Monaco Switzerland

    Germany the Netherlands United Kingdom

    Hungary New Zealand

    If he/she is not from one of these participating countries he/she will have to apply for a B2 visa at the nearest U.S. embassy.

    Your friend might need a lawyer??Immigration waiver applications should be prepared correctly the first time. That is why it is important to have an experienced immigration lawyer. They thoroughly prepare the documentation that proves the hardship. address all the issues and make sure that case receives fair consideration..

    Visa Waiver Program, or VWP, is a way for persons from certain countries to travel to the US without a visa. Philippines is not included in that list.
