MY INTERVIEW IS ON JUNE 3RD AND I JUST RECEIVED A FONE CALL FROM JAP. EMBASSY TELLING ME THEY ALREADY HAVE MY POLICE CERTIFICATE.. BUT THE THING IS THEY'RE ASKING FOR MY PASSPORT FOR CONFIRMATION AND STUFF BUT USEM HAS IT.. WHAT SHOULD I DO IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET MY PASSPORT BACK JUST SO I CAN GET MY CLEARANCE AND GET DONE WITH ALL THE DOCS. BEFORE MY INTERVIEW.. HELP HELP HELP

Try to call Japan Embassy and explain the situation if you can provide some legal documents aside from your passport to prove your identity, or try to call St. Luke if you can borrow your passport for that reason and bring it during interview, no harm to try , good luck to your interview...

Not sure why nobody mentioned this before, but you probably end up going home for a while but if you want to live in the USA you can look into a student visa, or a work visa (related to a job). A friend of mine did it this way: first was a student, than applied for het H1B visa when she got a job. Although she eventually married a US citizen she never applied for a visa in connection to him.

K-1 visa you can never change or extend, I did that before, you really need go back home.

You can stay after the expiration of your visa for another 180 days, but still you need to go back home within that period of time. good luck!

You didn't have to cancel your Bio Appointment. FYI, Once you receive Bio App. Letter, you can go anytime earlier than your actual App Date. As long as you show the app. letter, they get you in & do your Bio.

Next time do not cancel it.

I don't think so that you can come for biometrics anytime or its either depend on the service center, because my friend she got her biometrics appointment 2nd week of May, 2009 for EAD she's from MS she drop by at the local office to have a biometrics in advance but the officer wont allow her he said that you need to follow your biometrics appointment notice.

I plan to go back to the philippines for a vacation early next year. At the same time, while in the philippines, I plan to renew my passport. i want my passport to reflect my marriage name.

Do i have to report my marriage in the Philippines consulate here in the US.

OR

Just bring my US marriage certificate and renew my passport in the DFA (philippines).

File report of marriage first and then as soon as you get your copy, file for passport renewal here in the US you don't need to file for amendment of your name just file together with your report of marriage, processing time here in San Francisco 8 weeks i don't know in some other Consulate if how long, more cheaper to renew in the philippines but you need to file your report of marriage to the Consulate here in the US and then the Consulate will forward it to the DFA and it takes 4 to 6 months and then DFA will transmitt to NSO and then you can get your copy from NSO for your renewal of passport with married name, i tried to renew my passport in Phils. but we forgot to file our report of marriage here so i renewed my passport when i got here in US.

My husband had his interview on April 21st, which went well. However, his medicals were not complete at that time. The interviewer told him to send an email to the embassy once they were complete requesting another appointment at the embassy at 1pm. I have sent an email and haven't heard anything yet. The interviewer made it sound like it might be difficult to get in touch with someone.....said "keep emailing them until you get an appointment". I also emailed them prior myself for a totally different reason after his interview and I got a response back saying they have no record of his case. Should I wait for an appointment or just have my husband return to the embassy with his medical results as well as the paperwork he was given at his interview??

If he had his interview already, just go back to the embassy and give all the requirements that they need including the result of his medical, why did he need to have an interview appointment again? or maybe his interview was not completed yet? if you are the USC much better if you are the one to call the Embassy to set an appointment if needed, good luck to both of you....

ariesgirl, you know what tell your husband to call USEM every other day if he has time, because if the USC is the one who follow-up the case much much better....he need to proved at the immigration unit that he really need and loves you and he can't wait that long anymore.. keep bugging them....good luck day

Just go back to Social Security office, bring your passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, EAD card, and fil-up the form SS-5 you can get that from there website www.socialsecurity.gov provide the photocopy of your papers they might ask for record purposes, good luck!

Yesterday my husband and I Feb. 13, 2009 went to the Philipppine Consulate in New York to ammend my passport. I was surprised when the passport officer informed us that I have to apply the report of marriage in Los Angeles, California, since my marriage was solemnized in Las Vegas, Nevada. But I told him that I live here in New York and he said it is not in their jurisdiction. I came here in US with a fiancee visa, I'm currently in the stage of removing my conditions. I'm not sure if I need to ammend my passport, we never had any interview with the US Immigration

Did you have to report your marriage and go through the ammendment your passport? My passport still has my maiden name and it expires on 2010, we can't afford to go to California at this time. I hope someone here can help me,

If you want to save, you don't need to amend your passport, wait for the copy of your report of marriage and renew your passport so that you don't need to pay for the amendment($20), that's what i did this month file the passport application form with copy of your report of marriage, front page of your old passport.

HI Pshbrk, I have a K-3 visa also and im planning to file for my AOS before dec 21, 2009 for our 2nd wedding anniversary, now my question is my medical will be expire this coming July 3rd do you think if i'm going to file my AOS before my medical expires its possible that the approval after my 2nd wedding anniversary and have the 10 years GC?

cool info............how about WAMU or Chase Manhattan bank? may supplementary Debit and Credit card ako from hubby......so in short pwede ko na yon gamitin? i used the credit card quite few times pero yon na nga may transaction charges tapos per transaction yon... ......seriously, we want to stop using Western Union medyo mabigat na sa balikat ni fafa..............mga inday, naguluhan na rin ako, baka WU pa rin bagsak namin...salamat po.....from your bisaya vj friend.

The USCIS owes both of us an IMMEDIATE processing of our case. And I want to know how I can make this happen. They have not offered us anything. (Surprise!) I also want to know who I can hold responsible for all this.

What do you mean sent it back? if your going to have K-3 interview you don't need to send it back, she's going to bring it during her interview at the US Embassy and it over to the pre-screener, all you have to do is to send her an affidavit of support I-134 notarized, bank statement, pay stub, 3 latest ITR, copy of your proof for visiting her, old passport with stamps for visiting her much better, proof of communication, emails, letters, calls. Try to visit your bank to ask for it, good luck!

My Alien Registration Number in my visa is different from the A Reg. # given in the NOA2.

I think its a typographical error number 1 should be number 7. I recieved my K1 visa last March 21 and i just noticed that the numbers are different.

Should I call USEM before leaving the country for clarification? Will this affect my visa approval?

What do you mean visa approval? you said that you received your K-1 visa already right? you can call the USEM or check the website there's a time and day that they can entertain questions at the window outside. good luck!

If you want every after your conversation all the messages from yahoo messenger send it to your email, there's is an option at the messenger, and then from your email you can print for it, good luck!!!

I-824 - Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, this is the form for right? pursue for CR1/IR1 that's what happen to my friend before, they got approved for I-130 and denied for I-129F for K-3 but they proceed for CR1/IR1 and they got approved, call USCIS for clarification, that is the advice of the "stupid" immigration lawyer that my husband try to inquire last time when i was denied for my K-3 and I-824 it takes almost a year that's useless , good luck!!!
