moving to consulate forum

Hello Dear All,

There is something about our case that makes me soooo worried. It has completed on October 6 in NVC and I sent back all requested forms to the consulate on October 30 after receiving Packet 3. But yet after 4 months we have no news about interveiw appointment or Packet 4 My fiance has called them 3 times & all they told was "your case is in processing". Then our attorney sent a request letter to them about 3 weeks ago but they have not answered to it also.

It's about one year that I've not met my fiance and it's too frustrating. I don't know what more we can do about it except of waiting & waiting & waiting I asked my fiance to send a letter to the senator but he believes they can do nothing for us, please let me know if you have experienced such a long delay with Naples embassy

I'm a Persian girl and because we don't have US embassy in Iran we've applied from Italy.

Now my question:

As you see in the timeline, I've sent back pocket 3 on 30.Nov.08 , but US embassy in Naple has not sent neither pocket 4 nor interview date yet. I feel so worried because as I found, they usually send pocket 4 max. in 2 weeks ( of course for Italian applicants) but now it's more than 45 days for us I just want to know if it's normal ? !!!

If all the documents and letters you received from US emabssy in Italy on time then i am pretty much sure that this packet 4 you will be gettin it on time as well...Normally packet 4 takes a bit longer because it is all about scheduling the time and date to call you for physicall interview in front of CO at embassy. as you will be coming all the way from Iran to Italy so it might be a bit longer to scheduled your interview date but have faith on God. you will be hearing anything relates to your interview soon.

P.S (this is what my judgement as per your situation, it could be differ from actuall process of what's realy going on)

Probably you have to write it on IR1/CR1 forum.

But for your answer, your best bet is to contact your embassy to find out where your case is sitting at.

You can call them up, or if they have dedicated email for inquiry, you can ask your US citizen family to write the email to them.

And my fiance, he called to embassy about 4 weeks ago, but they just said your application is processing. I'm worried because it has taken so long time anyhow my fiance will call them this week again. Thank you !

Hi everybody,

I've received pocket 3 from Naple embassy on October 22, but the attached form ( DS-230 ) in e-mail has expired in 2004 & also it has problem to fill the employment's location, so I've downloaded the up-to-date file from www.state.gove website, but I'm not sure yet if it's ok with embassy to use this new form or not ! Would you please give me your advices ?

Furthermore, in questions no.22 & 23 what I should write in "location" space, do they need "full address" or "city & country" will be sufficient?
