  1. Thanks for the info. I'll let everyone know if anything changes.

We made an infopass appointment with out local office (LA) turns out the officer made a mistake and our application did not go through. After 8 weeks lost our application was re-approved today and the green card is now in production. If its been over 6 weeks please make an appointment with your local office. Calling 1800 is completely pointless and a waist of time. Good luck everyone!

  2. Hi everyone! Hi Filetitan! I think we have the same prob. I suggest you call the USCIS office to inquire about your case. I just called the USCIS today inquiring about my greencard too. I got my Approval Letter last March 10, 2011, and up to now, no green card in the mail. Anyway, I called them last March 28 ( 3 weeks after arrival of Approval Letter) as stated on the letter to call them if no GC within the next 3 weeks. The lady told me to wait til April 12..and to call them back. So I called again (April 13) a while ago, and this time the guy took my address and my receipt # and A# ...and informed me that he will contact the CSC office about my case. I was also told to wait (again) within the next 30 days and if still no GC, I should call them back. Oh yeah, I was given a reference number...which I'm not sure what it's for..maybe for my inquiry.

So I guess I'll just keep waiting..and hopefully it won't take another 30 days for my green card to arrive.

Thanks for the info. I'll let everyone know if anything changes.

  3. In reviewing the USCIS On-Line “My Case Status” number regarding our AP, it states that the AP was approved on March 10, 2011. However, it is 4/13/2011 today and we have not received it as of yet. When viewing the “My Case Status” via the USCIS on-line WEB site it currently shows “Post Decision Activity.” Here’s my question, when reviewing your AP on-line “My Case Status” concerning your approved AP, have any of you witnessed it showing “Card/Document Production” after it has stated approved? We are getting ready to call the USCIS to let them know it has been over (30) days that our AP was approved, but no document received at this point. Thanks for all replies

Were in the same boat. We were approved on February 28th and still no green card or online case update.

  4. Approved as in USCIS sending you a letter saying approved. Or "approved" at an AOS interview? if approved at interview, this meas the interviewing officer has no problems, however application ultimately needs to be approved by an adjudicator at the center, which can be a few days to longer after interview.

When approved did you get an I-551 stamp in passport?

Approved at the interview and no. He just said you should get your green card in 2 weeks =/. Nothing in the email and no stamps. He did take away her employment card.

    Thanks,

  5. We were approved over 6 weeks ago here in California and still no green card in the mail. Process started with a K1. How long did you guys wait for your green card to come in after approval?

Our case status is still stuck on "Initial Review" online.

    Thanks,

  6. Many peoples case status never changed.

You could call DOS or USCIS and ask where your card is. Often the card is not approved at the interview as they say it is. It is generally sent forward for approval pending another review. That would depend on how many the person has on their desk to review at the time and when they got to yours to officially approve it.

6 Weeks and no card =/. I called USCIS and they said this could take up to 2 months. Just about everyone I know got theirs within a month.

  7. Nope would not work, now days they dont give you ID or DL without proper visa.

Dont expect DMV folks to be aware of all the various visa type, when I went to get address changed on my DL, DMV person and her manager were not aware of what CR1 visa is.

=/, Been waiting for her Green Card for over 4 weeks now and need to register her for school asap, but before we can do that we need a identification card.

  8. The x-ray is for you to keep for medical record and is not used after visa medical, it is used to look for evidence of TB.

Medical documents (DS-2054,DS-3030, DS3026, DS-3025) should have been in the immigrations packet that was turned in at the POE, and USCIS should have this.

You only need to handle the Vaccinations Record part of I-693, and sent that to USCIS, if you did, then they should have it.

I would wait and see what they say at the interview.

Many thanks for this info, I don't believe she has done the vaccination part yet. Will a Civil Surgeon be able to assist with this requirement?

    Thank You,

  9. From what visa type are you adjusting from? Your timeline is blank, and profile says N/A?

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=56251

If from a K-1 visa, if medical was done shortly before visa interview then vaccinations record is all that is needed for AOS.

You say returned open?? Do you have it?? If so I would re-visit the US Civil Surgeon, and have them reseal it and bring it to the interview.

Yes this is from a k-1 visa. Yes, medical was done before the visa interview. We do have it, the envelope contains an xray of her upper body and this was taken in Armenia where my wife is from.

  10. Hi Everyone,

My wife and I have been called for the AOS interview (in 3 weeks). Our interview letter states for us to bring the following:

A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)

We turned this in when we submitted the AOS package and her envelope was returned back to us in an open state. Is this something for me to be worried about or does it fall under "unless already submitted" category?

    Thank You,
