  2. hello,

This is my first post in CR1 forum, I submited a K3 for my wife in thailand, and on 11-6-2008 the I-130 was approved by CSC, so I guess my I-129 is dead right? does anyone know what documents are required by NVC so we can have them filled and ready to mail when we receive notice? Can she go ahead and request the police report, and if ok to request can she only get from bkk, because she lives 400km from bkk??

I have not received my hard copy of the notice, only see on uscis website and can hear that its approved on phone when I enter NOA #, I still can not believe it's approved. I did see that it was touched on 11-07-2008 maybe this was date sent to NVC?? Does anyone know what the process times are for NVC, when will I get notice? packet 3? when I look at VJ timelines seems to move pretty fast when NVC receices visa ? any help will be fantasic.

    Thanks

  3. Hello all,

I have a few questions regarding process

    1. I sent I-130 on 9-16-2008 and received approval via USCIS website 11-6-2008, what happens to the pending I-129F???

    2. Is this normal to receive approval for I-130 and not I-129F, having I-130 approved is the process the same?? Because I checked VJ K3 flow chart and it really only mentions I-129F NOA2 aprroval nothing about I-130

    3. I see on timelines people are able to track visa's to and from NVC? How do I track my visa? I called NVC and was told that it might take 4 to 6 weeks to receive visa packet? and then another 30 to 90 days to review??? I see on VJ most visa packets are received within a few days by NVC and sent out within 1 week, is this correct?

    Any help would be fantasic!!!

    Thanks

  4. I have seen what you are talking about, and I too have been waiting since 9-25-2008. What type of visa are you waiting for? I talked with CSC regarding process times and they say that 6 months is the norm for K1 and K3. I received my NOA on 10-1-08 and asked when I could see NOA2, she explained that when I see this it means that the visa was approvaled and forwarded to NVC. Meaning I may not see any movement just receive NOA2 within 6 months.

  5. Speeditup,

I called to verify the information for CSC process times, Yes they are saying that total process times are 6months from receipt, and both K1 & K3 are processing in 6 months pending no problems.

So I sent in K3 in Sept 08, and should hear something by Feb 09 (hoping for approval :) ). Then the journey at NVC starts. But VJ timelines are showing short waits, 1 month to 2 month before arriving in (Beneficiary) country. Then time to wait again LOL.

So I will plan trip to thailand in Jan or Feb, too long to wait to see my wife.

    Regards

  6. I started the K3 process in September 08, I was told by USCIS that I have 6 months before they will even touch either I-130 or I-129F 6 month plus 5 month processing, this would put me into late summer 09???. I have received both 1st NOA's, but when I search similar visa timelines on VJ most on average are half this time? Some touches in 2 months. So who's right? USCIS or VJ timelines

I'm just confused about the whole process, does this mean 11 months before K3 will arrive at NVC?

I really hope what I see on VJ timelines are correct.

    Thanks, any relies will help
