I receive my 10 yr Greencard Yesterday 3/11 and an email from CRIS today saying approval notice sent which is weird coz i received that a week ago in
mail. I guess they take awhile to update the information online. Anyways Thank You everyone for your input and encouragements. I am so happy I'm done
with USCIS until when i apply to apply for citizenship
 .
=Congratulations on all approvals, and to those still waiting you will be approved soon!! THANKS ALL!!

Hi Guys I received my welcome letter in the mail friday 3/6
. Thanks everyone, Just waiting for the Greencard to arrive.
-
Goldfee, Good luck to You on Your Interview. You will do just fine. I can't wait to Congratulate you on being APPROVED!

Congratulations, Mombasa and Stu!!Ok my appointment was at 2.00pm, and the weather was just terrible and we thought we were not gonna make it, thankfully we made it just in time. We went to the 3rd floor and there was only one couple in the waiting area. Before we even sat a lady walked up to us and said they were gonna be closing due to bad weather and to expect to be called in, in about 1-2 minutes.
Glad you made it in and back home okay. A friend of mine in Minneapolis got sent home from work because of the snow at 1:30. He used the afternoon off to make homemade pizza, which has me thinking another trip to Mpls is very much in order.
Thanks sonoransongbird! We had blizzard here and you couldn't see the car in front of you. Driving back from the interview was way better because they had started clearing the main roads. They closed schools and events for the evenings.

Hi Guys /Ladies
I had my Interview today and here it goes. Ok my appointment was at 2.00pm, and the weather was just terrible and we thought we were not gonna make it, thankfully we made it just in time. We went to the 3rd floor and there was only one couple in the waiting area. Before we even sat a lady walked up to us and said they were gonna be closing due to bad weather and to expect to be called in, in about 1-2 minutes. Just as she left, a man comes in and calls my name and takes us into his office. He asked my name,DOB, address, are married? then he went to ask those standard are you terrorist...questions. He then said that medical form and affidavit of support were ok. I already had my I-130 approved in 2006. He never asked my husband USC a single question and the whole interview lasted 5 minutes. He never approved us on the spot but said everything seemed ok, and will make a decision tomorrow because he had to leave due to bad weather. He happened to mention that if he approves it, i will receive 10 yr card in about 2 weeks and will be eligible to apply for citizenship in 3 yrs. He didnt take my EAD card. So what do you guys think

The post is reminscent of some posts from other african men who claimed their wifes were mentally ill after getting here to the US. Is this a repeat of the same post???
Why African men? Is it because its a 3rd world? Would it have been different if they had come from first world countries like UK, canada?

]Hi everyone. Congratulations on all the approvals!!! My interview is coming up on the 26th and I'm happy and nervous at the same time. Goodluck to you Goldfee on your upcoming interview!!!

I was just wondering, it seems to me that it takes long time for them to send (USCIS) Interview letters. I always thought it took longer for bigger cities to
process their cases, than smaller cities like st Paul. Any inputs from those whose DO is st Paul will be appreciated.
-
Congratulations to all who received GCs and Interviews. Looks like most of August filers have either been approved, transferred to CSC or received their ILs already. Goldfee111 hang in there we are on the same boat here. I hope i receive my IL SOON!
-
Mo Mati, i don't know why they gave me a 2 yr EAD card. I'm adjusting status based on marriage and my EAD was processed at NSC while I-485 is still pending at NBC. I know they introduced the 2 yr, but i don't know how they decide on who gets it or who doesn't. I was quite confused as i was expecting 1 yr one like everyone else.

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to everyone who got their EADs and approved ones! I, too, am so eager to work . I might die of boredom.
I got a letter from USCIS today- Request for Applicant to Appear for Initial Interview...now this got me confused. I havent received my EAD and AP yet and I got this, and it says INITIAL interview. Is it normal to get the interview appointment first before the EAD and AP? And is this letter the "one" interview some of us are waiting for? It just sounds to me like I will have a series of it cause of the word initial.
Hope someone can help with it. Thanks.
Jen
Congrats. I think that's how they usually refer to the first interview, because some people are sometimes asked to go for 2nd interviews. Otherwise you shouldn't worry about the term 'Initial'. And wow, you are lucky July and even some June filers havent recieved their ILs yet. what is your local DO?
-
Thanks sonoransongbird. I'm happy that Good news are pouring in for August filers. Goodluck to all those still waiting, i'm praying for you.

Hey Johnnie J,
Do you know the timeframe for being scheduled for an interview at the Mount Laurel office in NJ?
I have no clue to be honest...apparently the USCIS site hasn't gotten any updates since July 31st....
The website was updated for August 31st on Oct 19.

5 years investigation and all they came up with was 50 fraudulent marriages. Wow. That is not very many. They are either very incompetent, or sham marriages are not as common as people think.
They're incompetent. I live in Orlando and know this happens all the time.
Do your part and report them now that you know.

Congratulations to all

Same here. My case is viewable online but no touches since they send me my Bio appointment. They didn't even touch it after i took my Biometrics. I see people with same timeline as mine already receiving their EAD cards. My AOS is in MSC, however my EAD application was transferred to NSC, i don't know why they send it there, but might be because it was first rejected because i used the wrong form.
well we have nothjing to do but to wait... you are still in the time frame anyways... but i don't understand too why they don't even update our case online.. it just puzzles me... did you apply for AP? but i'm hoping we will get positive news soon...
maybe that's the reason why they transferred your case to NSC coz of the wrong form...anyway... let's just be positive for now...good luck...
I did not apply for AP, since i overstayed my F1 status and don't plan to travel until they approve my AOS. And i hope they do it sooner, and at least meanwhile they should send us our EADs. Goodluck to you too and everyone on this AOS Journey

So you send Just the I-130 with the supporting documents with $355, and then you will be instructed on the rest of the process? When do you pay the $400 or send the Ds-230? I am really confused. My husband is trying to file for his mom.
