  1. haay... we cant trust anymore our own country.. whenever i send documents to the US, its always via courier coz if its ordinary post office in the PI, either di makarating or may nawala na sa loob.. if makarating man, uber tagal..
  2. i remember i answered yes to the DS230 form about SSN. so i dont need to go to the SSA to apply for one right? but the officer in the SSA told me to go to the immigration and have t corrected by myself. .. i am now confused. my sis applied for a SSN a week after she arrived and did not encounter any problems, even with her GC. they all arrived afetr 1 month.

If you checked off on the DS-230 and are age 18 or older, wait 3 weeks after entering the United States to receive your SSN card. If you do not receive it within 3 weeks, go into an SSA office to apply. If the SSA employee says your name is misspelled in their system, tell them to submit a secondary electronic verification request or send a Form G-845 to verify your status. If they don't understand what you are talking about or will not do it ask to speak with a manager.

    thank you!

i guess he did not know what to do because he made me do his job. he wants me to do directly in the immigration. maybe its state specific?

just wondering how did you know those things?
