maybe its because of the time of year.. and I had prayed that she would be with me for Christmas. But I just can't get past this. I plan on going there for Tet. Which is on my birthday and close to our engagement anniversary. I'm just so depressed over this whole thing. Any advice?

I was notified by email and mail when USCIS received my petition (10-6-08). But I have no idea what is going on now. How do you all know when it has been "touched" and what is being done with your file?

It takes time, sign up here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

Then you can request for email update status and you will get a email anytime there is a change.

I also checked everyday.
