  1. JOHN AND NAN FOLLOW THIS LINK IT WOULD HAD HELPED ME GREATLY IF I HAD SEEN THIS BEFORE. IT TALKS ABOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/..._live_in_the_US

I FILED IN FEBRUARY AND NOW I AM ALREADY APPROVED I AM SENDING SOME REVISED DOCUMENTS AND SHOULD HAVE THE APPOINTMENT IN THE NEXT TWO NMONTHS. I MADE MANY MISTAKES AND THIS WEBSITE IS A GREAT HELP BUT STUDY THIS LINK SO YOU CAN NOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND NOW HOW TO PREPARE.

  2. 1) I am the petitioner and i did not put my address as the choice of agent i put the beneficiary address in Peru!!!!! :crying: Very bad move

    2) I did not do the right RESEARCH and I ended up sending a DS230 WITHOUT the civil documents.

Now : An RFE has been sent to the beneficiary/agent and of course that will take forever to arrive because he is in Peru. I know what they are requesting and I will have thos documents here in the US by Monday.

    QUESTIONS:

1)Should i sent the documents along with the DS230 again WITHOUT the RFE or should i wait for the RFE????????? But why would i wait when i have everything ohhhhh this is frustrating!!!!!!!

    2) Can i again have my husband e-mail a NEW choice of agent that way they can re-send the RFE to me????? That is also going to delay my process one more month :crying: Everything was going so well until now. PLEASE HELP ME.

For those who are just starting do your research so you dont have to suffer like mw for things that you could have donde right from the start.

  3. They say it may take up to 4 weeks to receive anything they send out when it reality it can take up to 2 weeks. I think there is a shortcut for the RFE coversheet that you can find in the National Visa Center forum. But you should never send them anything that they haven't requested or it will delay your process. Wait until they tell you what they need and then send them.

    Diana

Thanks for the response Diana. The problem is that i made a huge mistake :bonk: We put his address in Peru as the choice of agent so it can take 4 weeks since they send everything via snail mail . So, I will have all of the documents by Monday of next week and I dont know if

    1) I should start by changing the choice of agent

    2) I should send the documents with out the RFE ????

WHAT DO I DO, I'M STARTING A FORUM WITH THIS QUESTIONS TO GATHER OPINIONS BUT I WILL REALLY APPRECITE YOUR ADVICE DIANA.

  4. I sent my I-864 along with the DS-230. I had no idea I was supposed to send additional (civil documents) with the DS-230 :(

I now called NVC and they said they have not received the DS230 and that they sent a letter to the benificiary asking for additional documents. Is this normal? Was I supposed to send the documents along with the form?? They are going to have a supervisor check if the DS 230 is on file :( and that may take up to two more weeks!!! Should I resend the form with the documents or will that delay the whole process???? :help:

WOWWWWW THANKS!!!! !YOU JUST GAVE ME THE MOST VALUABLE INFORMATION I COULD HAVE EVER GOTTEN IN THIS PROCESS. I WISH I HAD FOUDN THIS EARLIER. THANKS REALLY MANY MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Mate,

Your ok, just get the forms done and information back to the courier SMS ring them up to pick the stuff up (we know from experience) and then its anywhere from about three to five days - make sure everything is there and signed - we sent in two copies of everything and one was notarized was not taking chances on this. But since you already have the aff of support from co sponsor ya just need to back up the income shown for co sponsor

You will be fine, just make sure that the income shown for co sponsor is documented such as tax transcripts W-2's etc.

If that is all that was on the back of the sheet you should be fine. Our turn around time was 2 days for Visa to be back to courier from date of delivery of docs to embassy.

    GOD SPEED

Cheers for that! You need to hear it from other people sometimes. I have to admit though I am confused by the evidence bit though, I spent all this time copying eveything and for what!

I see your time line and is very similar to mine. I am in the point where i have sent everything to NVC. I see you did your medical exams very close to teh date when the consulate received your information. Are the medical examas something that you can do in advance or do you have to wait for the arrival of any package??????

  7. Lindsay,

Most of time NVC is much faster at issuing DS3032 after NOA-2. Therefore, I think it is safe to assume that NVC will issue DS-3032 after 4-5 days. If you send e-mail then it still takes about 4-5 days to send response back. You can still take a risk and send an e-mail. However, just few months ago someone from this forum sent and e-mail and got rejection e-mail after few days. I assume if this type of e-mail might increase workload of NVC then they might start rejecting e-mail (just wild guess).

I got my DS-3032 generated on 10/02/2008 and I NVC assigned case on 09/29/2008. You and I have exactly one day differerce of NVC case assignment. You can talk to live operator on monday and possibly hear good news.

Thanks for the response! I will check tomorrow with live rep. My husband will send DS-3032 from his hotmail account- hope it works.
