  1. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this. I am at the end of my rope, the embassy has had our paperwork from the nvc for a year and they still have not given us an interview date. Now every time I call they tell me they are conducting, "administrative processing." Is there anything I can do to get them to stop ducking us? Or get them to give me more information than the generic answers they have been giving? Any help is greatly appreciated. The approval notice has expired and been revalidated 3 times already and the medical form is about to expire too. I need answers and I really can't afford to keep calling them and paying 20 dollars every time, just for them to tell me to wait longer. thanks.

  2. Does that apply to the U.S embassy in tokyo as well???

I've asked this before and I haven't gotten a definitive answer. Can anyone tell me how to go about getting an extension on my NOA2? It will become invalid in 30 days and my wife id worried we will have to start this whole process over if it lapses. Thanks

4.1 NOA2 EXPIRATION DATE - Don't be alarmed if the visa interview is scheduled after the NOA2 expiration date because the Consular Officer (CO) at the Manila Embassy will automatically revalidate the petition by extend the expiration date in four months increments until all actions are finalized . No actions by the USC and/or beneficiary are required.

  3. When we sent my husband's fingerprints from Dubai to Philippines to obtain the clearance we sent it with a letter stating that he authorized his cousin to obtain the clearance for him. I think we wrote something like "I 'so and so' authorize 'so and so' to obtain the police clearance for me in my absence" and then signed and dated it. That was all we sent and his cousin didn't have any problems.

    your a life saver...salamat po

  4. My wife is Filipina living in Japan, she needs an NBI clearance from the Philippines. Does she need a power of attorney for a family member in the Philippines to obtain it for her, or is there anything else she needs to give them? She had her fingerprints taken already and she will be sending that, but is there anything else they will need?

  5. Looks pretty simple and straightforward to me... at least it is a start

Does this apply to the Non-immigrant K3 visa as well?

Much of it I would think, as the interview is performed at the immigrant visa unit... The obvious differences would be I-134 instead of I-864, $131 per visa instead of $400. In addition DS-156, DS-157 probably need be prepared. Many times only the DS-230 Part I instead of the entire form.

You have been more than helpful payxibka my wife and I thank you very very much... :^)

  6. The U.S. Embassy in Tokyo received my approved I-129f from the NVC almost a month and a half ago. My wife still has not gotten her instruction sheets in the mail. She got a phone call from the embassy saying that the post man could not find her house, and that they would try to send it again. They mailed it out again on Sep 19 and we still have not received the instructions. The embassy requires 20 dollars per phone call to inquire, which i gladly pay but all I get is told that they will look into it. My wife and I are so close to the end of our journey, any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated

Do they have the information online? Will they allow a in-person pickup?

I asked if they will allow her to pick it up directly and I was told she would look into it. that was about a week ago. i dont know how to check if they have it online, but their website is difficult to navigate.
