Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that my husband was approved. He said that when he got to the embassy he had to wait for a long time but when he was called for his interview he was asked four questions:
1. who are you going to join in the US - he responded to be with my wife and son
2. How did you meet your wife - He resoponded we went to the same high school so since 1999
3. How have you managed to spend time together - he responded, she travelled in 2007 and lived with me for 5 months and again in 2008 when we vacationed in Malawi while she was working and got married when we arrived in Zambia
4. When did you get married - he responded December 10th, 2008
The CO said congratulations you can come and pick up your visa next week on Tuesday. Make sure you don't pack your medical in your luggage as you'll need to present it that POE. and it was over. No wish to see pictures or anything. 3 minutes is how he described it and I work to the best text message in the world that said, " We got it honey. I love you lots"
He's reserved his flight for the 28th so we're counting down!
CONGRATULATION!!!! GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE LIFE TOGETHER!!!

Hello VJ members,
Just wanted to let you know that my husband passed his interview to get CR-1 visa in US Consulate in Jerusalem on September 3, 2009. Everything was very smoothly, the CO just asked a few questions about how did we meet? where and with whom do I live and the name of my mother. Also he asked about his previous marriage, about the kids, he return the original birth certificate and also the extra copy of marriage and divorce certificates. CO said that the visa will be issued in 30 days, asked my husband one more contact phone number and the address. The interview started at 8:30 a.m. and my husband left the consulate around 10 a.m. Thank you all for the support and good luck to everyone with your upcoming interview.

Yes, each person immigrating to the US needs their own DS-230 since that is the application for the visa. I'm assuming since the children are already 12 and 9 that they can sign their own forms, but you can call the NVC to find out what they recommend.
Also, anyone can pay the $400 per person fee, it doesn't have to be the sponsor. All the NVC cares about is that the bill is paid, in this case it would be a total of $1,200.

Thank you to both of you for ther quick response and professional answer. I appreciate it. Good luck to you both as well.

Hello VJ members!
I need you help with the clarification in DS-230 form completion for my daughter and her 2 children.
The instruction for DS-230 said, that all family members should filling up the DS-230 Immigrant Visa Application, regardles of age. My daughter is 36 and she is going to immigrate with her 2 children - 12 and 9 years old. Do they need to fill up the DS-230 form and who is going to sign the Part1 of the form - my daughter? Please help with that. And should I as a sponsor pay for the IV bill 1200$ (400$ for each person)? Thank you.

WELL MY HUSBAND LIVES IN WEST BANK, RAMALLAH (PALESTINIAN TERRITORY) SO THATS WHY HE NEEDED BOTH PALESTINIAN AND ISRAELI PC, BUT IF UR HUSBAND LIVES IN ISRAEL THEN ONLY ISRAELI PC IS REQUIRED, ONCE THAT GETS FORWARDED TO THE EMBASSY THEN NVC WILL AUTOMATICALLY KNOW(I GUESS IT GETS PUT IN THEIR FILE IN THE COMPUTER) THEN YOULL GET A CASE COMPLETE. AFTER THAT U JUST WAIT FOR INTERVIEW. HOPE U HEAR CASE COMPLETE SOON!!
Thank you very much. You clear the situation. I called to my husband and explain the way he should do. How much time it takes to Police to send the certificate to the Embassy in Jerusalem. I heard that it takes 2-3 weeks. It means that the case cannot be completed until the certificate reach the embassy. Good luck to you in your life and thanks again for you support .

Hello. I need your help. My husband is living in Israel. Our CR-1 is in NVC and almost ready to be finalized. I have a question about the Police Certificate from Israel. Did you send to NVC the Police Certificate, or just requested from the Police Station and they will send it directly to the US Embassy? Did your case had completed without this certificate or we need to wait until the NVC received the confirmation from the US Embassy in Jerusalem that my husband does not have any criminal records and after the confirmation the case will be completed. Please advise and thank you.
WELL IF HES WITH THE JERUSALEM EMBASSY LIKE MY HUSBAND, THEN HE NEEDS AN ISRAELI POLICE CERTIFICATE AND A PALESTINIAN POLICE CERTIFICATE. THE ISRAELI POLICE CERTIFICATE HE MUST REQUEST IT AND THEY SEND IT STRAIGHT TO THE EMBASSY. BUT THE PALESTINIAN POLICE CERTIFICATE, THEY GIVE THAT STRAIGHT TO HIM AND HE NEEDS TO SEND IT TO YOU SO YOU CAN SEND TO NVC. MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY RECEIVED A CHECKLIST FOR A MISSING DOCUMENT FOR HIS PALESTINIAN POLICE CERTIFICATE BECAUSE HE SENT IT TO THE EMBASSY WITH HIS ISRAELI P-CERTIFICATE, SO HE HAD TO GET THE PALESTINIAN BACK, AND SEND IT TO ME, I UPS'D IT THE SAME DAY AND MY CASE COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING WEEK. SO THE NVC NEEDS THE PALESTINIAN CERTIFICATE, NO TRANSLATION REQUIRED FOR THAT. I HOPE I HELPED!!!
Hello! Thank you very much for your response. But they did not mentioned in the checklist about the P alestinian Police Certificate. Is this nessesary for all israeli citizen, or only for them, who live or lived in palestinian territorie. My husband sent to me previously the police certificate from the local police that he does not have any criminal record by attachment to the email. But my question is - is NVC will keep the case completion on hold until they will informed from the US embassy in Jerusalem about his request for the Police Certificate and only when the PC will be done, than they will complete the case and schedule the interview. Thanks for your support and hope to hear from you.

Hello VJ member! We are waiting for the case completion in NVC. The process is almost going to be finalized. The NVC received the case from USCIS on April 7th, I already paid for AOS and IV bill. They reviewed DS-230 part 1 and found that question 20 - current residence time is blank under his place of living right now. I forgot to write PRESENT IN THIS FIELD. They mentioned to me in checklist that gap exist and asked me to following to the instruction below on how to obtain the PCC from this place. My husband living in Israel, beside the Israel he used to live in Canada and Russia. I sent to NVC 2 PCC from these countries. Does he need to request the PCC from Israel (the PCC in Israel are sent directly to the US Embassy) immediately? Is this PCC will delay the decision about the completion of his case in NVC? Please clear me, we are stressed and do not want wait for one more month after the NVC received the confirmation about his PCC is in US Embassy in Jerusalem than they make a final decision about the case completion. As I found from the VJ forums, he can request the PCC from the country where he is living now after the completion the case and before the interview date. He needs to bring the interview letter to the Police station. Without the special documents they will not work on any request. Hope to me helped by someone similar situation. Thanks a lot.

CONGRATULATION WITH YOUR APPROVAL! Iwould like to give you my advise. I am almost done with NVC process. Today I am sending my DS-230 and supporting documents to NVC. It takes me only 2 weeks to send all the required documents. Please prepare all the DS-3032, AOS and all supporting documents. CALL them every day and talk to live operator. If you provide them with your and your beneficiary email addresses, they will send you all the information via email. You can pay for AOS Bill and DS-230 bill online and I could not combine both, because they activate one bill payment after another. Be patient, check the website regularly and it should not take a long time, NVC works very professional and fast. Good luck to you with a speedy process.

Visa in hand, but needs to revoke
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
Hello VJ members.
I have a question about the next situation: My husband received the CR-1 visa on September 4, 2009. If our relationship is no longer to be continue, how can I revoke the visa and do not want him to join me in USA? He has 6 month visa expiration. He is still in his country and cannot come to USA shortly. What should I do in that case, who should I send any letters about do not give him an entry to USA? Please help. Thank you.
