Is it possible to use a local notary?My wife used a lawyer to notarize statements concerning a bona fide marriage .is it possible to use one of them.. ? there by saving quite a bit of money and the 3 hours round trip to the embassy .

I am going to be in the P.I. once my I-129F is mailed in.. Is it acceptable to have it notarized in the P.I.?

does this mean i include two copies of the NOA1?.. since this is all that i received and I have read here, that in this case, the NOA1 is the Transfer notice..

When listing the table of contents. Should A copy of the NOA1 be listed as a copy of the I-130 transfer notice.. ?

Ok , am mailing the I129F soon, yet the checklist is giving us a huge headache... I have read here that the NOA1 IS the transfer of notice.When we received the NOA it was one piece of paper... I am to include <as per number 3 on the checklist> a copy of the notice of transfer.

Does this mean I am to provide two copies of our NOA 1?

This is very confusing and really not at all clear.

Should number 3 state... what it does, but then state, this is another copy of your NOA1.?

I have received only the NOA 1... No other documents.

I have received my noa 1 for I130. I am going K3 route.. The return address on the envelope is vermont.. It also says on NOA on the very bottpm vermont.. My wife has received info from forums in P.I. that says DO NOT mail to vermont service center... I think we are to mail it to vermont.. Can someone help here pls.?

I think I already know the answer to this.. I have read that the NOA is the notice of transfer.. But i have also read that it is indicated on the NOA>. Technically it is not.. It is listed on the address on the envelope e.g. uscis vermont service center.. So a copy of NOA is all that is required?

Is the transfer of notice a seperate document?, Is it located in the NOA? and i somehow dont see it? or is it the NOA itself and the notice of transfer is implied in the address on the envelope//

does an affidavit sworn to in NY have to be on a NY specific form?

yes but it is a requirement since we do not have a joint bank account, nor shared property etc.. One of our 3 affidavits is from the witness to the marriage. we dont have anything else.. we have only been married a month..

Does the affidavit proving bona fide marriage have to be handwritten or typed? Is it more important for it to be typed?
