  1. Thanks everyone.. Not sure how we are going to proceed- We are going for Biometrics on Friday and can do a walk in to a USCIS doctor to have the vaccinations transcribed so we are going to at least get that done.. and hope they are not after a whole new full medical...

We are November Filers- I wonder what happened with all of us that we are all getting these RFE's.

Hey Muns3n, as a sidenote, saw in your profile that you are expecting- Congrats! We just found out that we are as well :) due date is two days before our first wedding anniversary.

Good luck everyone, hopefully this doesnt slow us all down too much.

  2. My fiance entered the country in July- we went and he applied for his social security card- Havent gotten anything back yet. We got married on August 7th and just called to check with the local SS office and were told that the department of Homeland Security has not cleared him yet for his SS card...

Any advice or ideas on what sort of a wait we are now looking at?

    Thanks!

  3. Ok, nevermind, I just found the information I was looking for- I need to do the I-134 still just not the other one.

Just to be sure i am being thorough, I will be submitting two I-134 forms. One for me and one for my mother. With each form this is what i submit or is there additonal documentation?

    Me- Self Employed

    1. I-134

    2. Copy of last years tax returns

    3. Letters from Contractors verifying contracts

    Co-sponser- Mother, Employed

    1.I-134

    2. Letter from Employer

    3. Pay stubs? (how many?)

Anything else that needs to be provided?

    Thanks again!

  4. My fiance got his letter today from the London embassy so we are getting everything ready for our final stages!

My question is- on the London embassy page that outlines all documents needed to be returned and taken to the interview, it states that a Affidavit of Support is not required when applying for a fiance visa and that it will be required at the adjustment of status stage?

Is this correct? I had been getting everything ready to send my and my co sponsors support paperwork because I thought he needed this at the interview?

    Thank you in advance.

  5. We just got our NOA2  and so are preparing for the next step...

My Fiance is a bit worried about when it comes to the next stage, the visa being denied based on one or both of these reasons.. Can anyone give us any information about this?

    * He has a small amount of UK based credit card debt

    * He hasnt had steady work for a few months since returning to the UK from the US

Are they going to look at either of these things as a negative or will this play no role?

    Thank you in advance,

    Brooke

  6. We are awaiting our NOA2 which should be arriving soon. I know that this is the stage where I am going to have to submit all of my financial documents so my questions stem around this- Im divorced and have three kids. I know that my income doesnt meet the poverty line for all of us, so I will be having my mother co-sponser.

How closely is my credit going to play a role in things? I have some things going on right now as an impact of my divorce that is killing my credit report and score. Is this going to be an issue?

Also, are they going to look at my debts in additon or in contrast to my income or just my income?

    Thank you in advance.

  7. I am wanting to make sure I do this right and I have a question about the G325-A form concerning the last five years of employment for me..

I am self employed- I work as an independant contractor so I do not receive w-2s of any kind. I do contract work and from some of the contracts over the past five years I have gotten W-9's. On this form- do I simply put that I am self employed and have been for the past five years or should I list all of the companies that I have received W-9's from over the past five years?

Thank you in advance for your help :star:

  8. Thank you for the replies- I guess i am just reading alot about things getting held up and I want to be sure I am using the most current information and get this right the first time-

For a bit of background- I am in Utah- He lives in the United Kingdom. I have been married before and have three children, he has never been married and no children. I am 30 and he is about to turn 30. We met online in August of 2007 but the actual relationship started in February 2008- He came out to Utah in August 2008 for four weeks, and will be spending five weeks here again in December. We plan on getting married as soon as we can get the visa and I am reading all of the information that I can so that we can try to get things mailed off by November and get the ball rolling.

I am planning on using a co-sponser for income because I am self employed and think that additional income will provide some strength for us?

Also- is it correct that the office i should file with is California?

Thank you all for your help so far, I am taking it all and using it the best that I can. I can see this is going to be a process and its important to me to do it right.

  9. I am just getting started in this process- and just wanted to know if i could be pointed in the right direction for a current up to date list of all things that need to be included in the inital K-1 Visa application packet? I have seen alot of different sites that list different things and am not planning on using an attorney so want to be sure that I do this the correct way the first time and dont create additional problems for us.

Thanks in advance for your help-

    Brooke
