  1. Form our data VSC is now processing July K3 and July I130

after a crazy moment of processing Jan

since last week they kind of shutdown. don't know what they are doing.

Don't believe what they said on the phone about processing september I130s

    My gut feeling

    for I130 and K3s

sep remaining filers still 1-2 months if lucky I'd say

    unless something happens

    they are not meeting targets

for K1s they are processing october - november

    they are approaching target

This is making sense, i called last week because mine is also passed their 6 month processing time. They told me they are doing an inquiry but i'm not sure what that means.

Also, i hate to sound slow but can anyone answer what does "touched" mean? Is that some kind of contact between you and USCIS because they have not contacted me since i received my NOA2 in October......

  2. get an affidavit from your witnesses that they did have personal knowledge and witnessed your marriage. lots of format in the internet, pick one that works for your country and have it notarized.

    good luck!

The evidence requested is not to prove a wedding took place. Marriage certificates do that sufficiently. Any additional evidence is about how genuine the relationship is, not how legal the wedding was.

Frankly, I think affidavits are a joke. Newlyweds can provide some pictures from their time together including a few of the wedding with family members present. Then be prepared with evidence of an ongoing "relationship" at the interview. Frankly, most newlyweds simply include the "required" documents and skip the "in addition to the required....." which be definition is "not required".

oh, well... you'll never know. it's still good to have things in handy in case you need them. I have all my witnesses make an affidavit for me. Anyway, I sure hope the marriage cert. is good enough but if they ask you for more proof, photos, affidavits, and etc. would be my idea of it. Maybe it's just a cultural thing... third world country ideas and ways of doing things i guess.

I think to be on the safe side you should put in anything and everything that proves the marriage took place, all affidavits, all pics, and they will keep what the need and throw out what they dont. It may or may not be a waste of time, but you would rather be cautious than sorry. My opinion. Good luck with everything!

  3. He he he ... Please don't rely on the USCIS website..My status is still "Current Status: Case received and pending."

...try to call to the USCIS... And don't talk to reps rather find a way to talk to some supervisor..I have a silly but effective suggestion....When u call at USCIS, ask them to find a case file number is apparently a wrong one line EAC0823554521....they will then transfer u to the supervisor, even if they don't ask, u will ask that u need to talk to supervisor...when u r transfered to a supervisor, give him the correct number ask the status.... It worked when I send one of the VJ members through PM....why don't u guys give tries everytime u feel like calling to USCIS and have an inquiry :devil::devil: ....

    Thank you...

    Sonia

I did state that I was pretty clueless about this whole thing and I am going to be asking questions, Im just following the step-by-step guide on the website to get a K-3 visa, which informed me to file both. So thanks for you hospitality akdiver and mooninlove (:no: ) I'll make sure to direct my questions in the right forum. Maybe they'll be nicer to me over there.

God bless and Good luck to you all!
