Ria, it's very common in states ang daycare, so i guess it's okay for your son. Kids are very resilient as long as after your work you find time for him when you guys get home. Issue lang naman jan is yung fee skyrocket high daw. Ako din ung son ko I need to find someone to watch him while I have my review.

hi my vj family....i would really--------superdoooooperly loved to share the update on my visa...i just checked it @ delbros and viola!!---- 2008-11-18 10:17:56 shipment released by the embassy praise be to God ...im so glad & superbly happy...it was an answered prayer coz lst wednesday i asked for a prayer & we prayed online that Lord willing,visa will be release anytime nxtwk (which is ds wk ) and Lo! & behold.......Prayer,Patience & Perseverence to name a few are ingeridients that we really have to hold on to...keep the faith to those who are waiting (that still includes moi )...as what the bible says.....this too shall pass......God be with us all...excess : 2mrw ( nov. 19,2008 ) marks my 2nd month of waiting (got intrvwd sept. 19,2008)...what a nice present to know that my visa has now been released...a blessing indeed....keep the faith guys!!!

It's my turn guys. I have our visa!!! yipee! just now. There was no Magic text from delbros, no update on delbros online tracking system, we did not call embassy last week for update we just patiently waited, waited and waited. Finally it's here, 8 weeks after interview, 5 weeks after DV done. I have seen the end of my long wait.

I was not expecting it at all. I was having lunch when our doorbell rang and my yaya said someone is looking for me. A guy in motorcycle asked me if I'm so and so, i said yes, then he said Delbros ma'm with a sly grin. It took me like 5 seconds to let it sink in my head and realize it's Delbros, it's our visa! coz as I said I did not expect it. I asked "Manong how come I did not receive any text? He said ok ma'm you will receive it later and I'll come back again". Smart guy eh?! lol...Of course I immediately let him inside my house and even gave him a glass of juice and kept thanking him. He said their company has been moving lately, maybe that's the reason why they are not updating their clients, I didn't ask any other details all I want is my visa. lol. So delbros will just be surprising us all, knocking on our door to bring good news to us. yahoo it's my turn to dance

Yehey! It will be raining visa this week again. I will still be here guys updating the list. I have to accomplish something first before I leave Philippines. So I am still looking forward to hear more good news from everyone. Lohner I can still wait for you so we can have the stamp together, I won't be leaving not until Dec.

After reading your post about DV if felt compelled to write. I pray that you receive your Visa very soon. The system should work and give people the faith that it will work. The responsibility is that of USEM to ensure that the system is working and it is fair. Fairness it seems has gone out of the window. My Fiancee and myself have been blessed with a quicker than normal processing of our application. But by no means do we take this blessing for granted. We read the post daily and we want for everyone what is so simple in the end, for everyone to be with their loveones. We pray that all the families here are placed back together. God's speed on your Journey!!

Dear Steve and Maria,

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words regarding our situation. While by no means we are against DV, the bureaucracy stemming from both the US Embassy here and the NSO have been causing depression and sometimes even up to the point of despair for most if not all of us. I must admit that I am still for the implementation of DV since we are a high fraud county. As such, ensuring the authenticity of our documents is definitely a must. (Would believe that fraudelent documents ranging from driver's licences, social security id's, land titles, college transcripts and diplomas and yes, even NSO documents are being hawked openly in the streets of Manila?)

While from the very beginning it is expected that the DV may cause delays in issuing our visas, what is frustrating is that it takes on average six to eight weeks to verify our documents whereas ordering your civil records online will result in delivery to your home in three to four working days. And if you're willing to go the the NSO offices, it will just take you three hours inclusive of the time spent on the long queues to get the said documents.

To add insult to injury, the USEM in response to the backlogs caused by DV has implemented a DIY solution by asking applicants just to bring the NSO documents themselves during the interview itself. This action by the US Embassy obviously defeats the very purpose of ensuring that documents being submitted to them are not fraudulent.

We are all still hanging on keeping our spirits high and helping one another. Again thank you for your kind and ecouraging words. God bless!

Jose Rizal.. ..very well said & written...it sums up what we all feel waiting for their visa...bureucracy+fraudulence in the phils...tsk..tsk.tsk..its in d system of our government way before our forefathers...but inspite & despite of these shameful traits,we still have so much to thank about our country & be thankful & grateful to the almighty....on the lighter note the wait is the problem..it sure feels like it takes all the time in the world and u don't want to wait anymore...but the more we should wait a little longer,leaving everything to Him...His ways are not our ways..His thoughts are not our thoughts...we all should increase our FAITH & just simply be thankful that He caused all of this to happen...to find goodness in every bad person/situation we are in.....for all you know,it's us /,our batch, that has been an eye opener to the embassy,nso,dv..et....to prevent future backlogs..consider it pure joy & blessing!!...and we will be rewarded in the end.....our labor is not in vain...God be with us all

Sorry guys, i just online by now. My pc is messing up and my fiance was here in Manila. I thought i can go back with him this coming 6th of November but i think i cant.

Godismystrength, aha! so that's why you've gone missing...busy with your fiance! that's nice he is here.

At least grace told you to wait 2 weeks, in my case last week she told my fiance to wait for 4 weeks.

Don't count on what Grace will tell you, she really can't tell up to how long do we have to wait. It's all up to the CO.

Just divert your attention for now, and enjoy your time with your fiance, visa will be yours soon.

well sis they always give us 2 weeks but after 2 weeks they will tell us again to call after 2 weeks, i dont believed them anymore. but i do hope u get your visa before nov 6.

I just got off the phone with Grace. Amazingly, I got through the first time around. Anyway, she said that our DV was reviewed by the consulate this past Saturday, and that there weren't any issues. She told me to call back on or before Friday to check the status since there wasn't anything in the system that stated that my fiance's visa is printing. I hope this is a good sign for all of us who are waiting. *cross fingers*

I was interviewed at Window 29. Consul at her late 30's.. w/ short hair. Didnt give me a hard time. less than 4 minutes interview only.

pie, my fiance called the embassy and was able to talk to grace and she told us our DV was at the embassy last oct 7. delbros online tracking will only tell you if your passport is for delivery. if it says shipment in process at embassy, means your paper is still under review, but it doesn't mean they have your DV already. Try to do what M@C and chritisn's gem did, press 8 and ask for Delbros.
