Hi fellas...hope you all have a good day...i'm kinda confused about applying for AOS. I'll be out of status soon...in 2 days!!! We just have our papers all done and ready to mail. And i'm sure it wont arrive to USCIS in just 2 days...most likely it will take 3 days. Not unless if we could possibly send it overnight...not sure. I came here through K1 visa and got married within 90 days. But haven't applied AOS yet. Am i in big trouble? There might be a thread already bout my case but i can't find it. Thanks to all of you...hoping to feel better bout my case...

Thanks too to all fellow VJ members and to the one who make this website...its a big big big help. Here are some pointers and questions being ask:
- know the monthly income of your fiance/fiancee
- the name of the company where he/she is currently working
- how did u both met
- when did u both met
- when is the wedding
- how many times he/she had been married
- have u ever been married
- what do u do
- what is his/her job or what does he/she do
- if have u ever asked why the past marriage didnt work out
- when did he or u proposed
- do u often see each other
I think thats all so far...it really depends to every consul...There was a guy before me and i had same questions like him... and if u know everything bout ur partner, there's nothing to worry about. Trust me its been days that i was so nervous but i kneel down and prayed before i went to the interview, and it was really amazing coz inside the embassy, i wasn't nervous at all....i was ready for the battle.

Congrats - you should thank the people at VCS also -

Best wishes on your upcoming medical and interview!!! Keep us posted how both of them went!!
I'll be travelling to Greece the day of your medical, and won't be near a computer until the beginning of April. I'm going through Vancouver too, ( whenever it gets to my turn...lol). Is the doctor's office close by to the consulate? I did read that they take immigration patients at 6:30 a.m.
I will be staying at Ramada Inn Limited Downtown...and they told me that burrard street where to take medical exam is 6 blocks away and the vancouver consulate is 6 blocks away too....hotel price are too high and i will be staying for 7 nights...its only ramada that i found cheaper and not that far to the places where i should go.
Yes you have to be at the clinic before 6:30am coz its first come first serve basis...so wish me luck lol.

Best wishes for your exam and interview!!
what's a certificate of no marriage?
Oh,its just for me just in case they will ask for it...I am a Filipino Citizen. Im here in Canada through work permit.
A DS-160 is not required for the Vancouver Embassy. Just have everything they ask for on their checklist they sent out to you and you will be fine.Thank you for your reply, thats what i thought too....coz its not included in the checklist.

hello fellas...are the 2 passport photo's for embassy are the one they need for the DS-156? In the checklist, only 5 passport photo that are required and have to be identical. 2 for the US consulate/embassy and 3 for medical exam....right?....now im confused, do i still need to have another 2 passport photo for the 2 copies of DS-156? If i need to get another 2 passport photo for it, does it have to be identical to the 5 passport photo's? i only got 6 identical copies of passport photo and the photo shop i went to could no longer make me another identical copy....pls help....thank you very much.

Hi,i need help. Im on the process of completing my checklist in K1-packet 3. Part of the step 2 checklist is the Fee which is 131 US dollar to be paid in scotiabank and the last are the DS-156 and DS-156K which need to be fax to the consulate. Should i pay now and complete the forms to be filled up and fax it together with packet 3 checklist? My preferred dates of interview is either March 27 or March 30,2009. Thanks a lot.
Thanks guys. Problem solve.
I don't know where you are in Canada, but if you're being interviewed in Montreal, you're probably looking at least at a 4-5 month wait for an interview. When they ask if there are specific times you wish to be interviewed, you could say asap, or something like that. Or let them know what weeks might be better for you. I highly doubt you'll get a specific day of the week. Have you stopped into the Canada Forum? Here's the link. There is also a thread for those people waiting for interviews in both Montreal and Vancouver, so you can look at the timelines of those waiting for interviews.

Hi...its me again. My question might be discussed already in here but can't find it. If you can just see my laptop....i have 4 visajourney website open lol...My question is for those who have their K1 process done in Vancouver. Our papers was forwarded already from NVC to the embassy last Feb. 13, 2009. How long will it take for me to recieve the packet 3? And also, how true that previous marriage certificate will be required aside from divorce decree?...A friend of mine who have K3 application in vancouver recieved her apointment letter and it's one of the requirements being asked. Thanks again.

Oh my goshhhhhhhhh...I wish you came from other planet...No wonder why a women like you is what makes other women who are serious with their relationship have hard time to be with their husbands or fiance...a women like you is what makes people judge filipina's... Its really embarrasing...

Hello fellow VJ members...i jumped and cried for joy to see the current status of our application...it was APPROVED after 5 months of waiting. I called my fiance right away to inform him....wow.....God is good all the time...To those who are still waiting,i know how hard it is...trust me....But always have faith and be patient...God knows your heart...

I don't know how many people have run into this situation before but here it goes anyway. So a couple of years ago I got married to this girl from the Philippines. I thought we were in love but found out that she was just really good at manipulating people. Eventually I was able to file a K1, get her to the US, marry her then find out she had someone back home. I had that marriage annulled for marriage fraud. So I go about my business dating other girls. But now, I end up with her sister. Eventually I do want to bring her over. My question is will their relationship be a burden to my petition? Also, will I have to send a copy of my annulment papers with the K1 petition? Has anyone run into this before?
HI...IT SEEMS UR SITUATION IS VERY COMPLICATED. I JUST HAVE ONE QUESTION FOR YOU. DO YOU THINK THIS SISTER OF YOUR EX-WIFE REALLY LOVES YOU AND WILLING TO MARRY YOU FOR REAL? ITS NOT NORMAL FOR A SISTER TO MARRY OR BE WITH HER SISTER'S EX-HUSBAND OR EX-BF...NOT UNLESS IF THEY ARE KIND OF GAME OR LIBERATED, AS WHAT WE CALL IT. AND DON'T YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS WHY THIS SISTER COMMIT TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU WHEN SHE KNOW'S U WERE THE EX-HUSBAND OF HER SISTER?....SOMETHINGS NOT REALLY RIGHT.... IM NOT SAYING U BREAK HER UP...I JUST HOPE THAT WHEN YOU MARRY AGAIN, U WILL FIND THE RIGHT ONE AND NOT JUST SOMEONE WHO WILL MARRY YOU FOR SOME PERSONAL INTEREST OTHER THAN LOVE...COZ IF THATS THE CASE...YOU BOTH WILL NEVER BE HAPPY. GOODLUCK...
What the???? The OP asked for immigration advise not your take on his ways....
oh, and please DO NOT TYPE IN CAPS. Bad netiquette.
Bad netiquette???....
Hmmmmmmmmmm.....etiquette u mean...i dont care. What i said was just my opinion... M.Y.O.B
It is called Netiquette online, noob. FYI: "I" is capitalized, and "don't" has an apostrophe. Grow up and learn how to behave in online forums little one.
... i feel sorry for you...lower down your ego pls... And you're no better than me or anyone else...so hush...i didn't ask you to correct my words here. Go back to the topic or should i say...Get lost!...
