  1. Hey guys!

I have a question! We have our interview on December 22 and my wife has her medical exam this Thursday, however she has not received a letter from the consulate with the interview date on it as of yet. She has, however, received the letter from NVC with the interview date, would this be sufficient to use?

Also, I have heard that having too much evidence at the day of the interview could looked at negatively. I always though that the more evidence one brings the better. Oh well, I feel stuck between trying to decide how much is too much then being afraid that I dont have enough... This is crazy.

    Thanks guys.

    Crismar,

We received the letter from NVC and did not receive any additional letters directly from the embassy. The NVC letter was sufficient to take for the medical exam (take 3 pictures! I didn't know pictures were necessary for the medical exam but the female Doctor, Dr. Nari I think, asked for pictures). I don't know that we are supposed to get a letter from the embassy like you are asking about. I have read reviews about the interview day and they mention the interview letter which I take to mean the NVC visa interview document.

VJ member lars-n-yenia just went through their interview at the Lima embassy so you might want to message him and ask him if they got a letter directly from the embassy. I would aks him but I have already bothered him a few times and don't want to be a pest. Or you can email the embassy about your question. Let me know what you find out!

As far as evidence, I am taking lots of it but I am not showing it to them unless they ask.

i agree with you..your spouce in overseas only receives letter from NVC regarding interview.

my wife interview is on Jan 16 ..but she has yet to receive any letter from NVC..it is via POST or DHL ..they said it was sent from NVC on 25th nov week..i got the letter but she did not... :-(

  2. So....I am just waiting for my IV Fee to be generated so that I can pay online. In the meantime, I have the entire packet together for the DS-230. My one questions is whether I need to have the police clearance certificate finished and sent in with the packet. I thought that you only had to bring that to the interview but now it seems that I have to mail it in with the DS-230 packet. We actually have one certificate but my hubby didn't realize that you need the fingerprinting too. So he had to go redo it. Do you think it would be okay just to send the certificate for now and the fingerprints later? Also, if I do need the fingerprinting for the DS-230 packet, can I just have him send them directly to the NVC to add to my file or should I wait for him to send them to me and then send them all at once? It takes usually 10 days quickest to get here from Australia. Yuck!

WAIT WAIT..what fingerprints you talking about to be sent with DS230? there is no such thing i read to be attached

    only items are

    -marriage certificate

    -birth certificate

-police certificae (local and passport office) depends upon location

    -photo

    -photocopy of passport

    -Cover page from website

    -signed form

  3. I send in my DS230 package this morning in priority mail since express mail won't really benefit since they don't work on Saturday. I really hope everthing is okay as I want a december interview.

    kman,

Can you please fill in your signature or timeline for the spreadsheet. Thanks

thanks for pointing out. its updated now.

DS230 sent 10/17/08 via priority mail.

how did you all fill out the ds230? My wife has hand written the info and its pretty legible but not printed. Is NVC picky about this?

NVC does not really care whether it is computer entry or hand writting as long as it is clear and readable

  4. ok IV fee generated and paid online today. what happens next?

make sure which fee is paid cause there are two

    -AOS fee

    -IV fee

AOS fees paid - allows you to send I-864 form and doc associated with it

IV fee - allows you to sedn DS230 form and doc assocaited with it but this one does not get generated till DS3032 (AOS) form is accepted at NVC

yup, thats the one. AOS paid last week and now its the IV fee 400$ thats paid.

did your ds3032 get accepted at nvc? i believe only then IV fees are available to pay

  5. question?

i got 3032 (COA) signed from my wife..placed the barcod thingy..

do i need anything else? just send it in regular envelope or one that came in aos package?

send it in the one that came with aos package

i got 2 envelopes in package; one for payment and another one is (ATTN: CMR), which is for AOS form

so i guess i have to make up one for COA to be sent...correct?

I emailed the COA that I received to my husband. He filled it out and sent it back in his own envelope to the address they gave him.

The small envelope I received for Saint Louis was for payment of the AOS fee. But I paid online. So I didnt need to use it. I used the big envelope with ATTN :CMR to mail my cover sheet that I received online after paying the AOS fee bill along with other supporting documents for the I-864.

i was talking about ds3032 (coa) not AOS..
