  1. Hey! We're out of the way too!

Jeff&Olga - we had the same message today on our case! Nov. 13, 2008 - approval notice sent!!!!!

    :wub::yes:(L):dancing:

Sigh. I'm so happy. As you can see in our timeline and my signature.. we were touched the 10th, 11th, & 12th.. then approved the 13th! The 10th was the address change that I had to put through..for the 2nd time in the last couple months. I think that really kicked them into gear on our case!

To everyone still waiting.. try to be patient! I know it's hard, and as others have said, it's much easier to say "be patient" from this side of the approval line. I was pulling my hair out and so depressed..but once you start seeing touches it's so exciting!

How long does it usually take NVC to send off packets? How long does it take to get there? We were thinking about a month to get through NVC and to the Frankfurt embassy.. is that correct? He's going to look into his papers needed for Packet three (he has all info just has to go get the paperwork from various places) and I'm going to get the affidavit done this next wednesday, my next day off.

Hopefully he'll have an interview in January at the latest... that way he will have plenty of time to finish/finalize things in Germany and move to the States end of Feb/beginning of March. AND the approval now bodes well for our wedding to go on as planned - March 27, 2009!

    OH! I'm sooooooo happy.

It's about *@#&(%^ time that CSC started approving us all. Hugs to those still waiting! And please, everyone keep up to date on here!

I have to do an address change, does anyone know what form to use? this change of address is for the foreign fiance

  2. Hi August Filers!.. I want to share a good news.... CSC are moving fast now and I’m happy that July K-1 Filers are on process now and some of them got their NOA2 already...this is a good news for august filers because soon we'll be next....We just need to be more patient and pray for more approvals to come... Good luck to all of us....

Check this Igor's list below: :D:thumbs:

Great news....but I find it wierd that they are already approving late July noa1s (not that im complaining). but i guess they dont go in order of date?

  3. Thanks for the advice.

My fiancee does not currently have a job, as I am supporting her till the visa. However, she will have bank statement and return ticket (or at least E-ticket/Itenerary) in her hand.

I'm just going to tell her to be completely honest, and see how it goes. We have nothing to hide, and I cant imagine NZ is really high on the threat meter. :P

I want to stay with my fiancé in US during this k1 visa process. We are almost half way there.

How would you explain this to customs officer?

  4. Did you guys realize how quiet we are compared to the VSC folks filed in August. I thought I will get some action going here...

    1) What's everyone and their SO doing - i.e., work, study, enjoying time off?

    2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied while playing the waiting game?

    3) What about shopping for the holidays?

    4) Any new hobbies?

My SO just left today to go back to the USA :( I hate whenever we have to say goodbye. Im working while playing the waiting game, and Im following the June members thread to see how close they are finishing off June.................

  5. Nothing to report here... still no touches or approvals or RFE's.

I think the date you are in June doesn't matter so much anymore... so who knows when everyone will get processed!

Hopefully after the election it'll speed up. Until then, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. It's too depressing!

    Have a great week!

i know this might sound like a silly question, but how does the election slow down/affect the processing?

  6. If this is for the initial application they are not interested in evidence of an ongoing relationship, just evidence you have met in the last two years. Stuff like, flight details, boarding passes, passport stamps, atm withdrawals in the country, photos etc. Stuff that prooves you have been together.

Proof of ongoing relationship is not needed until the interview, Save all the emails, chat logs until then.

is it ok to send photocopies (ie. of your credit card statemens) or do you have to send originals?

I am not sure what you are trying to prove with CC statements but nontheless.. copies

I was told that credit card statements showing purchases in your fiances country show evidence of being in the same place?

  7. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned www.CandleforLove.com . You are going to want to visit that site and read as much as you can to prepare yourself/your fiance for her interview.

    good luck

if you want to send copies of pages from your passport, do you need to include the detailed page as well? (ie. the page with the passport holder's photo and info?) .

    2) Does the USC fiance need to provide his long form or short form birth cert? he sent in his short form and im worried about an RFE in the future

  9. You included copies of your passport page with visa and arrival & departure dates right? You should be OK. If you are worried, search through all your paperwork at home (and ask him to do the same) and see if you can find other evidence, then copy it and keep ready just in case.

do you have to submit original copies of your evidence (credit card statements)? or can you submit photcopies?

when i was in the US visiting him in the summer, i also bought a cell phone with a US number from T-Mobile. But I put my gf's address (who also lives in the US) on that cell phone bill. still good to include that cell phone bill?

also, does my us fiance need the long version of his brith cert? i think he only submitted a copy of the short form

  11. Good proof to provide at this stage includes passport stamps showing you both were in the same country at the same time, boarding passes, copies of tickets and itineraries, and any paperwork with your name and address on it showing you both were in the same place at the same time (like credit card receipts showing purchases in his country, debit card receipts, hotel bills etc). And of course, photos. You can include written statements verifying the dates and places you were together.

do u think we will get an RFE? all we sent were photos, my itineraries, and a prescription receipt with my name on it, date (and his address) from when i bought medicine when i was there....

  12. The proof they want with the I-129F is that you have met in person within the last two years. They don't want and they don't care about non-physical relationship proof at this stage (like emails, phone calls etc.). At the interview stage in your country, that is when they want the ongoing relationship proof.

what would you say is good non-physical evidence to provide? (in case we get an RFE). we've already filed, and sent pics and other proof.

  15. Now my question earlier was: When we send in the evidence they need, do we send only what they are asking for or do we gather up the whole package again and resend the whole darn thing??! 129f

    Cindy

Cindy, you send back only what they ask for, not the whole package.

You can start already by taking a look at your papers and see if you forgot to add something, anything, like a N/A.

I did this while waiting for the RFE and discovered a mistake.....still the RFE was for something else

When they ask for more evidence, are they looking for evidence of your relationship prior to the date of filing your petition, or can you send in recent proof of your ongoing relationship?
