  1. hi tim,

Probably that's one of the reasons why that consul doubted your marriage since you guys are married for 5 years.could be or couldnt be the reason, but you know some people can just couldnt get it especially if the wife is foreigner. with my case, we are poor, i think our baby helped for me to pass. i got permanent visa last week even if my hubby and i are only married for 2 years, i'm only in the US for less than a year. and i also believe in luck, you maybe got the hard consul.i'll pray for you guys...tc. and god bless

  2. but guys, that's what i did with my petition, i put my husband's last annual 2008 income and uscis didnt question me about it, and now i passed. well, all up to you sunshine, i'm just sharing what i did. and USCIS didnt say that i wrote it wrong or informed them wrongly.plus i just had my interview last week, i was given a 10 year visa.

  3. please tell him, that having a child with him while you are still in your country is not an assurance that you wont get denied, unless, you are in the US with your child.there's no denial when you adjust status if you have a child with him and you are already here in the US wether you are in food stamp, based on experience.ask him that you need certain documents bec. even if he's rich and there's no enough evidence, it would be useless.i guess your husband is like mine, lazy slow when it comes to fixing the petition. I had a hard time too getting what i need from my husband for my petition. god bless you,i'm sure things will be fine with you, once your husband realizes the situation.

  4. depends on the consul, but definitely you can apply for k1 if you guys all ready met in person. it's a case to case basis. if you are divorced for 3 times, a lot older than your gf then consul may delay the petition, you may call it deny, but it will be fixed in time.i'm talking about my friend's experience.at first, she was asked to wait for the result of her interview, then after couple of months she was asked to come back for a second interview. finally, she passed.she was first interviewed sept.'08 then second interview in nov.'08, then by feb.'09 she's all ready in th US.

  5. with my case, they never asked neither checked for e-mail chat logs, but it's better to be prepared and bring all possible proofs.i copied all as in all....copy all she can, just to make sure, plus, please tell your fiance or wife to be prepared about the dates from day you guys met til present, and how many times you guys talk in a week, etc...just make a good impression with the first interviewer which is the filipino one and the rest is easy......final consul or interviewer based his questions on how the first interview goes...good luck and god bless you guys....

  6. hi there!if she had a cold prior to her medical exam, then i guess that's not a problem. if i were her, i'll get another x_ray test from different hospital, just to make sure what is really wrong, because sometimes st.luke's causes a delay....actually, what i did was i had an x-ray exam from different hospital before i had mine in st. luke's because i wanted to make sure, i have nothing to worry about....

Thank you so much for the replies. I forgot to mention she had a cold about a week ago also. It sounds as though she will probably be fine then. I just got really upset thinking what if we can't be together now. This is a long journey for anyone who falls in love, and to think that due to something like this we could never be together just crushes me inside. I must do a lot of praying about this now. The replies are so precious to me that i can not express my appreciation. My Fiance appears so healthy and is very cautious always with her health, that is why it threw me for a loop. Thank You very much.

You are quite welcome Lyle. Yet I am going to ask, is she a smoker? If so, please tell her to stop. Start drinking WARM liquids. WARM EVERYTHING. No cold liquids from this second on.

  7. hi,

i'm sorry to hear what happened.i do agree with everybody that it seems like it wasnt properly filed..maybe you should call USCIS because that's what i did when i was there in the philippines when things werent clear to me...somehow, they can help you what to do. i never heard of anybody refile their case, though....it's either follow what's in the letter or better call USCIS...

  8. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i filed my application for AOS last May 26,2009. it has been 9 days from now and yet, i haven't received anything from USCIS....no receipt, no NOA, no nothing.....but i checked that my application was received by USCIS last May28....I'm sure I sent it to the right address, chicago lockbox..
