until you can provide proof that you are a full-time student a co-sponsor cannot be used
I am doing K1 for HCMC and will use a co-sponsor also. I am just wondering that many have failed because of co-sponsor for K1. However, I am a full time student with little income. Then, there shouldn't be any reason to deny if I can provide enough evidence of relationship?

one quick question. Do you have to do the ceremony or can you just do the marriage license?
-
Thanks. I will have my Ws'2 ready at the time.
I have a few more questions: After reading some of the reviews who had passed their interview even though they used co-sponsor for K1 in HCMC (they are all full time student).
My fiancee has some relatives in the US. If she lists them on the application, is it going to require her to get their's citizenship paper or any of theirs papers?
Do we both need Single Status papers for the interview?

Sorry, I will try my best but what is the minimum amount required to file a tax return? I have a great future ahead of me but I don't know what the HCMC will do with it.
-
Other than those 2 methods above, there is no way for me to find a part time job that satisfy the poverty guidelines. If I work crazily, 10k would be the most. but the money I earned from my aunt was paid by cash. and I just turned 18 so I was underage at the time to do tax return.

well, for many instances where HCMC doesn't allow co-sponsor were that many petitioners were adults. How do you prove that you're a full time student? I mean can my dad sponsor me instead? He doesn't have high income either but based on his assets and the house, It will be better than the poverty guidelines. if not then my aunt would be fine.
and about the paycheck thing, If she give me a paycheck of that amount? I receive it and give her the cash back. Is this fraud even though I have to pay the tax for that high amount?

so based on what I found in the Vietnam regional board. They are saying that HCMC is rarely allowing co-sponsor. I mean I can prove that I'm a full time student in Biology planning to go to Medical School. The co-sponsor would be my aunt, who own a very big super market business. If those doesn't work out. I can ask her to give me pay check of high salary above poverty guidelines while not actually paying such amount. I don't know. Please help!

I have posted this in the old thread but since I found this is the new one, I just want to make sure.. sorry.
As I have a post here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151433, I just found out that HCMC is very strict on co-sponsor thing. But I can show that I'm a fully time student, therefore cannot make sufficient income to meet the poverty guidelines.
I need help, there is no way for me to make such money, but I can clearly show that I am fully able to support her when I'm out of college. and there is no way for me to do the K3 since I'm not even 20 years old yet. co-sponsor would not be a problem if I asked my uncle and aunts, who own their own super market and their million dollars houses. Please help me with this step at the HCMC. I want to prepare everything and not have to deal with it blindly later.

I have a question, is the HCMC really hard on the co-sponsor part? I hear that they allow it but giving many people trouble?
-
ok, so first step is to send the I129F without any financial papers?
so, now that I found out HCMC is allowing co-sponsors, I should start looking for a job now?
and when you mentioned additional evidence, what else do I need to find beside all those things mentioned above? I even told my fiancee to keep the engagement ring's receipt. and We are the same age, speak the same language. Grr, what the hell do the HCMC want more.
-
Thanks a lot! That has cleared most of my questions. But about co-sponsor, if he used assets to back it up like house, what kind of documentation is used to support this?
Can my income and my dad income + his assets be counted together? I just want to have a safe back up. Do they allow joint sponsor at the HCMC?

I'm very confused, I thought that I need a 2 years old relationship to file the petition. If I have photos, chat logs, letters, and phone records, is that enough (1 year time line)?
Is the CSC require the W2 and 1040EZ from me and my dad? or can it just be my dad? and about the interview at HCMC also? I don't have any tax record right now. I need to find a tax paying job. I was underage 1 month ago.
-
Thanks. We met again 1 month ago (and it's in my passport) and I'm planning for 2 more trips in the next year before I actually file the petition. I have found in the forum that HCMC is allowing of I134. But they require more evidence? Can someone tell me? So, Basically, I need my own Tax return? Which mean I have to find a job now?
-
I forgot one more thing, About the K1 process, when sending it to CSC, Do I have to include things like my fiancee police certificate? I just read it somewhere on this forum. Now, I'm more confused.

I'm thinking about doing the K1 visa for my fiance in vietnam. Evidence of relationship is no problem at all since we were classmate back in 5th grade. that's almost 8 years since we first met.
Now, the problem comes in the affidavit of support. I have asked my dad to be my co-sponsor and he met the guidelines income of the 2008 plus his house and assets. BUT me, I just turned 18, therefore, I have never filed an income tax return before and I heard that this is going to be a big problem. the money that I earned before was through my family business, since my uncle owns a big super market.
Can I get a job now and start filing out the income tax return for year 2008 and 2009? I mean, I will start the application in 2010 though because I never know about the evidence of relationship so I have to wait 1 more year. Does it matter that If I my income is going to be like $4k/year since I'm just a first year college student? but I already have my dad backing me up for the I-134 form.
Please, I need help with this. Thanks
We have 2 picture of the whole class back when we were in 7th grade, Can this be a very important part? We have met for more than 8 years but the relationship is only a little close to 1 year.
I have phone records, photos (no date stamp but I can write comment and date on back?), emails, chat logs, letters, anything else? (I throw away this year plane ticket because I didn't know that i should keep it, GRRR)
If someone has gone through this please help me. I will be in debt to you. Oh yeah, If I live in Chicago, I should send my I-129F to CSC right?
