  1. I got approved today at the Phoenix office! The whole interview lasted less than 10 minutes, the officer just looked at our photos. She also asked how we met, and how many times I've been to the US. Overall, it was easy peesie, good luck to everyone else.

Congrats andiste08  . Is that all that they asked you; no evidence, no tax documents etc? I hope mine will be just like yours.

Thanks kcoyclay1! Yep, that's all they asked me. The tax documents were already submitted with the application, and there wasn't any problems with it. So all they wanted to see was my photos. I photocopied everything before the interview, and they didn't even need to see any of it! The staff are very nice and friendly at the Phoenix office, it's really laid back.

  2. I got approved too woo hoo :dance::dance:

where in the waiting room were you stevo? what was your number lol i was 5019! Congratulations

Congrats Stuart! I was number 5003.. I got there at 7:30am this morning. The whole process only took around 1.5 hours, did you have to wait a long time? By the time I left, the embassy was pretty crowded.

what time was your actuall appointment? mine was 10am so I got there at 9am and didn't leave til about 2pm lol although they did have problems with the computer when they were doing me! so to speak.

I don't care tho if it took all day, I wasn't leaving til they said the magic words "you're approved"

    Congratulations again

    Stuart :)

My appointment was at 8am! I had to leave my house at 6:30am, which I haven't done since I was 17.. haha. I got in to the embassy at around 8am, and left just before 10am. At the first part of my appointment, the computer wouldn't work as well. Had to grab everything and go from cubical 01 to 14, stopping of at 12 to pay the fees. What did you think of the giant envelope with the x-rays? It raised a few eyebrows when I sat down to wait for the interview. Maybe the onlookers thought I was a special agent? Well, probably not lol. I was trying to look out for you, but I couldn't recognise you from your forum picture. Congrats too, I agree, the words "you're approved" are worth any amount of time.

    Steve :D

  4. I'm doing a final check and now I'm totally confused

In Packet 3 I was told to complete and return the DS-230 and the DS-156 forms. I completed the DS-230 by hand and did the DS-156 on the computer, printed two copies and mailed everything back. I also completed the enclosed DS-156K but didn't sign it and kept it.

Now, at the bottom of the cover letter of Packet 4, they say "All DS-156 forms are required in an electronically completed format in English. Forms may be downloaded at: http://evisaforms.state.gov Print the entire form including the bar code in duplicate." Uh... why is that there? I already did that and they have it. Does this mean I have to do it again? Am I missing something? When they say "All DS-156 forms" do they include the DS-156K in there? Does this mean that there's an electronic version of the DS-156K somewhere and I'm too stupid to find it?

Help, I'm getting totally confused here and I've got a big headache now :dead:

Hi Pandora, you can actually fill in DS-156k by typing the answers into each individual box. I'm pretty sure this works with the most recent Adobe Reader. Unfortunately you can't save it afterwards, so you'll need to print it off right away.

  5. Hehe, thanks again payxibka, but unfortunately, the IV-15 links to a HTML document, and not the actual PDF form I need. It's unfortunate, but they don't allow you to download it directly from the embassy's website. Does anyone have a recent scan of their IV-15? It would be very much appreciated.

    Stevo

How different is the .pdf that was 2006 and the requirements listed on the html? probably not much if any

Not entirely sure, probably not much different at all. However, I'm concerned the embassy will notice it's dated to a different date to which they sent me. I'm not sure whether IV-15 become obsolete, but as every form has a date on the bottom, I'd imagine so.

  6. Hello everyone :D

The embassy posted my packet 3 on the 29th of September, well it's now the 9th October, and I think it's been misplaced in the post! Does anyone at all have a scanned copy of their IV-15 checklist? I already have my NVC case number, and have filled out all the other forms. I really don't want to be delayed anymore. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

    Stevo

  7. Hi The Dip Sticks,

You can call DOS (Department of State), and they can let you know where your case is at, and when/if the embassy has posted packet 3 to you.

    Department of State

    Hope this helps,

    Stevo

After NVC sends the case to the London embassy how long does it take to get packet 3 from them? Also does the NOA2 mean that we have to have packet 3 back to them before the expiery date that is on the NOA2? Is there an email or phone where we can follow up on our case once NVC has sent it to the emabssy? Just wondering when that packet 3 will arrive.
