Well just an FYI basis information, we didn't have utility bills in our names, Our house we bought after marriage didn't have my name on it cos I had no ssn as at that time and didn't bother to have them add it afterwards, no health or life insurance together, no vehicle insurance as he had his long ago and I got a cheaper one that suit me when we got my car. We didn't have joint bank account either, he fears i'll make him go bankrupt in two days so we are fine with him holding on to his check book while I hold mine lol, not true we were okay with just having ours and true though I am a shoppaholic, it's the only thing I do outside work and spending time with hubby.

But we did have 2 credit cards we shared. I put everything else we had together neatly and organized and left a note detailing what I sent in and what I didn't and why.

My husband said if they think it's a problem then they should invite us for an interview lol and we would take the day off work and enjoy the time off.

I got approved without interview. My timeline is below.

Don't panic, give what you have, I have seen people who have everything intact and get selected randomly for interview or get denied.

Been checking in time after time in the back ground but thought it was unfair to not share or give hope to others.

Read my post or follow my time line. If anyone wishes to add me to the list its okaty, I can't figure out how to do it right now.

Meanwhile good luck to everyone still waiting, it takes them some time but they ll surely get there!

Don't we all just stand in front of the microwave sometimes screaming hurry up? Especially since Vermont has become a snail.

I'm positive though that before the end of the month they would most certainly approve a whole lot more filers.

I was a september filer in 2008 adjustment of status I think Envy me was the person who helped us co-ordinate things then.

Just letting everyone who knew me then know I did file for ROC, my green card expired feb 25th 2011, I filed within the 90 days window on the 1st of January.

My husband and I didn't have the mortgage in my name, We bought the house right after we got married and I didn't have a social then, we didn't have Life/ Health isurance jointly, no car insurance jointly or bank account or Utilities in both names. Not that we couldn't get it but I wasn't bothered and he was good with paying the bills lol without bothering me so I just went to work and did what I had to do, I did think it would be a problem for us though knowing how USCIS is, but I put things together and wrote a cover letter including everything we had and also note** I only included one affidavit, I could have gotten more but didn't have time to run around for it, and it was not notarized but my file when put together was neat and well detailed and I wasn't trying too hard.

I expected to be called for an interview as I sent my file to vermont this time and it wasn't transfterred to CSC. Vermont is slpw and creepy lol.

Anyways did biometrics 2 days early no hassle was in and out less then 20 minutes at the most.

Then went about my normal business waiting for the interview notice but none came.

May 24th petition was approved and may 31st card arrived.

Feel free to ask questions. I had lurked around the corner in January filers but didn't log in as I couldn't get them to reset my password.

I finally devoted time tonight to get it done especially to give hope to the January vermont fillers as I see its still crawling, they'll get there soon just hang in there. If you want you can update or add me to the profile of January filers for 2011.

Not good at all, i think they ll have to cancel one of the petitions as she cant have two different men fillling for her k1 at once. meanwhile be prepared for the big...huge...red flag! The Embassy wont turn a blind eye to this one...as they have both petitions already.

Important question, whats the time frame between the first filling and the last one?

Its amazing that she's also willing to switch asap since the visa had been approved. Does number 1guy know that shes been creeping while he's been sleeping or sending hard earned cash to uscis in the name of applications and running around to gather evidence?

Beautiful-years....lemme see what I can do. I may not be able to get right back with you because I had an out patient surgery this morning and I need to rest a bit. Since we submitted all of my husband's pay stubs, letter from his employer, W2 form and our 2008 tax forms, I did order transcripts in case there will be an RFE. The CO took our bank account statements, so I don't know what else they would want. In fact, we were asking the CO to please take more proof, but she said she didn't need more to add to our already huge file.

You may recall that my husband spent 17 months in background check during the AOS phase. It really has nothing to do with having a middle eastern name. Anyone can get caught, and interviews are often held before the check is complete.

Research and preparation? Yes they are a must for this process. But anyone who thinks that research and preparation alone guarantees smooth sailing is poorly informed. The process is fraught with little areas and hitches where things can go wrong. Don't ever get so cocky about your knowledge that you think it alone can save you - or that it gives you the right to beat somebody else up for a mistake.

Sorry to hear about the delay, and i really feel awful that i couldnt reach you on that day as i planned, i took ill and was in the hospital till last night when i was allowed to go home.

I feel for you, but again what can we do? Nothing but to fix the cracks and hope for a quicker/faster and more successful outcome.

Truely, we make mistakes and learn daily, if only you knew then what you know now i'm sure you would have had it fixed.

But its not over until its over... i see that its been a long strainous journey from the beginning, but i also see that you have both seen it through... so all you need is a little more patience.

Wait and see if the rfe comes and then attend to it, im sure theres a lot of people here who can help and advice on that one.

Hopefully the background check wont take long, though i wonder why they ll schedule interview when its not complete yet.

Support and love, as this truely is a stressful journey. I never got an rfe or interview and got the green card approved within 5months, but those 5months were like 5yrs of hell just waiting, so my dear, i know how it feels.

This is a genuine relationship, things might take time but you ll surely get there.

The interview is Tuesday....2 more days. I will write about the experience either here or make a thread. Im having an outpatient procedure Thursday, and my husband is leaving to go back home on the 18th. He doesn't think he will be back for another 5/ 5 in a half months. I don't know how Im going to cope. This long process has all but whipped me. Physically, emotionally....I have no strength left, really.

Quick update, sorry i didnt write long before now, after returning from my trip i travelled again...lol, been having fun

Welcome note/ approval notice and green card was sitting in mail got it out on the 20th.

Dont know how long it was sitting there though. But i see that it was returned to sender as they mailed it to the old address even though we had made a change of address ages ago and then mailed back again all by themselves, with no update from CRIS.

It was originally mailed 3/3/2009.

I think they got issues..so more patience people. I know its hard.

My husband's arrogance got in the way and he quit his job 2 weeks ago. My question is, will this hurt us come interview time ( April 7th ) ?. Also, we had a courthouse wedding and it was spur-of-the-moment because I had a surgical procedure done the day before . No witnesses, no friends or family, no party or honeymoon. We only have 3 pictures of us standing across the street from the courthouse. We have proof of everything else like his name on the bills, insurances, bank account, etc., Does anyone see this as possible trouble at the interview?

Well, your's isnt the first marriage without friends family or ceremony, especially with the very minimal time frame given us. So sincerely i think you ll be fine given that you have all other evidences intact.

I still havent got the mail updated or card in mail but i'm not worried anymore as i know card production ordered wont last forever lol, meaanwhile i'm planning going to get the stamp on my passport next week if we have the time.

I see the interview is soon and i know how worried you ll be but the funny things is...it is well, deeep down inside i know you know it would be approved.

As for my status still remains same since 27th and i think its weird... says card production ordered since 27th, no new touch or update
