  1. Dear Friends,

I got a very very exciting news from my husband this morning .He got the visa in hand.

As you all know he was put on AP ( Additional Processing) on 9th of this Month under 221g (blue slip).

By 14 days he got it .

He was called by the Embassy the day before and was asked to submit his blue slip the nextday morning.

The Embassy already had his passport so they also asked him to collect his passport at around 2.30 pm.

He collected his passport and found that ,there was a visa stamp on it ......Thanks GOD !

Sounds like they are working faster than before or may be all my LUCK !

It is one of the GREATEST day in my life .

    God bless you all .

  3. My dear VJ friends

    I am totally LOST !!

My husband's interview was on 9th march in Bangladesh .We were prepared well and there wasn't any paper missing or incomplete. The Consular officer asked him bunch of common questions and he replied. She asked him to show some of our pictures but no emails, phone or any other evidences.

At the end of the Interview she gave him a BLUE SLIP stating the following :

Section 221(g) which prohibit the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of Immigration and Nationality act.

The following remarks apply in your case:

    ADDITIONAL PROCESSING

WE WILL CONTACT YOU AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE THE RESULT

Can you please tell me what should we do now ?? they are not asking anymore evidence .they just want us to wait to hear from them

I don't know how long it's gonna be ? Do you guys have any idea ?? Please help please !!

Sorry to hear this. Blue slip under section 221 (g) means your case put on hold for further Administrative Processing, which means your petition, will return to USCIS for additional review and thereafter they will contact you. There is no time limits in this situation neither Consulate entertain your any query. So wait for Consulate notification.

Dont scare people like this. It may end up being returned to USCIS, but they are giving you the chance to rectify this issue. I just went through 221g LAST WEEK. I am sitting on the sofa with my wife now in the US.

Thank you daboyz .Thanks for sharing your story and giving me some hope to survive in this crisis .I know,I only need to be more patient.

  4. Dear Savar,

I am extremely sorry to hear that...U know I was almost crying for u..I am extremely scared of such situation...AP is not good at all...it can be 1 month to 1 year and even more..just be patient more from here....Here in VJ there were few members who were in AP ...Both were like more than 6 months....

By the way...did they keep the passport from your husband? If they have taken it, may be a lil good sign though...

Good Luck..Keep in touch...I would really love to hear from u ....

    Sonia

    Dear Sonia,

Thanks for being with me. I don't know why they put us on AP. There should not be any doubt about our marriage as it was a big wedding. Also My husband and I,we are in same age group.

    Yes, they kept his passport

    Pray for us

  6. Do I need to send my original birth certificate as part of the DS-230 package? I have my wife's original and a notorized copy already in the package.

Agree with sonia. No need to send yours only beneficiary BC needed.

Hello...Waithatter....Please explain me the rule for flipping an interview..... Lets say, my interview date is on April 6 for K3. Do I notify this to NVC when my case is complete? Do I have to send a copy or something to NVC or an application to make my schedule on April 6 for CR1?

    Thanks...

    Sonia

    Hello Sonia,

No you dont notify NVC about your k3 and even if you notify them they cant do anything about fliping your k3 into cr1. To flip k3 into cr1 you have to ask ask dhaka embassy for the procedure. if your cr1 case is complete and nvc assign interview date on 2nd week of march for april then your file should reach dhaka embassy before your k3 interview date then you can ask dhaka embassy to perform cr1 interview date on k3 interview date. Mostly all consulate/embassy are willing to convert k3 into cr1 if cr1 file is in there premises.

    Good luck!

    Thanks Krunal...

One more thing, NVC is saying that they have put AOS in their system, does it mean that everythin is alright and that is why they have it in their system? Or they will start reviewing once they put everythin in their system?

My DS 230 packet was delivered on 20th (friday) but till now they r not in the system....Please someone tell me the steps...both of us (me and my husband) are really worried.....in addition, it was really hard part to get someone from NVC to enquire as they seems to be very busy...

    Sonia

    Hi Sonia,

First of all, don't worry that much ! I feel your pain because I exactly had the same situation like yours in my case.

Even though I don't really know how NVC works, but from my case I understand that, they put the documents on their system first and then they start reviewing it. If they receive the AOS earlier than DS-230 then they just wait for the DS-230 to be received .Finally after getting all 2 packages they start reviewing. Usually it takes 5 business days to review the packages.

I hope there is no RFE and your case is gonna completed by Feb 27.

    Best of luck.

  7. I called the Clinic nominated by Delhi Embassy, they just needed a letter which had the case number mentioned on it ( I use the Packet 4 cover letter) my passport and 2 photos....I doubt I will get the formal interview letter before the due date......God knows how much time it will take the docs to reach India....because my hubby has not got his copy too as yet.....

    Thank you Aman.

We are going to do the same procedure as you did. My husband already called the assigned medical center in Dhaka,Bangladesh and they assured him to do the medical test without the interview letter.Yes they also need to see His Passport, 2 photos and NVC case number.

Regarding the Interview letter, I didnot receive the letter either here in USA.

  8. CASE COMPLETE!!!!!

    :D:D:D

Yah, I agree with Mommy. Because the las two days the AVR kept saying that, they had received all my documents and that THEY HAVE FOUND DOCUMENT MIISING OR INCOMPLETE ...I was almost getting a panic attack and I called back to live operator. They told me to ignor the AVR message and to be relax. Today all on a sudden the AVR changed to ' CASE completed'...

Oh by the way , do any of you know ,To who the NVC is gonna send the interview letter . Is it the petitioner or the Beneficiary ? Unfortunately my husband didnot get any thing from NVC/Embassy of Bangladesh .No DS 3032 nor any packet related to K3.

    thanks

Hey Savar, congrats on the completion. The interview notice will go to both the petitioner and beneficiary. The agent receives a copy, and the beneficiary needs one to take to the embassy and for medical report. Also, my wife hasn't received a thing back in Bangladesh yet. I really hope to get an interview date for March.

    Shimool

CONGRATULATIONS........I am so happy for you...

  9. When you send in the DS-3032 and say who you want all documents to go to, I think that's who they'll send the interview letter to? I could be wrong though, someone please correct me if I am! :)

I designated my husband in the U.S. to take all the papers. So far he's been getting everything. In Canada here I received the K3 paperwork from the consulate (which we are ignoring and just doing the CR1 route).

Congrats Savar on completing your journey! Keep us all updated here in the January foruma bout your interview date!

Thanks Moosker and OBX for your valuable information. As an agent I believe, I am gonna have the interview letter here in USA.

I will definitely update my progress in my signature.

    Best of luck .

  10. Aman and Mommy, congrats on your cases getting approved :D

My IV was entered around the same date as ya'lls. I keep checking everyday for the much awaited good news :)

Quick question did you call and talk to an actual person everyday or just checked the automated system?

Yah, I agree with Mommy. 11. Hello can you please kindly suggest me?

I am Bangladeshi citizen (Male) and I married USA citizen (Female) and i am happy to share with you all that our application has been approved from USA. Our Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Now we are filling Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration form in USA. After submit this form we believe USA Embassy in Dhaka Bangladesh will ask me for interview (i don't know how long time it will take for call me to join interview)

    Now question:

    ----------------

We got married June 2007 and during this time we live together (Bangladesh / India / Nepal / Thailand ) nearly 5 months. Now its important for me to know do we need to live together at least 6 months for getting visa approval from Bangladesh?

Do you believe during my interview session (I don't know when is my interview but i should know) if my wife come in Bangladesh it will be easier for me to get visa? Is she can able to help me any way for getting visa or make our case stronger for getting visa.

    Want to know:

    ----------------

Do you have any suggestion before interview that can help me to get visa.

    any suggestion highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your suggestion and time.

It doesn't matter whether she visits you or not .But you have to have many evidences as a proof of your ongoing marrital relationship such as letter, email, picture of both of you...hotel receipt where you stayed in different places..greetings card...etc.

    Wish you a good luck

I received one more letter from NVC about the I129F. This is exact same copy of what I have received yesterday but the only difference is the date of the letter. Has anyone received this letter from NVC notifying the peitioner that the case has been transfered to the consulate where the beneficiary resides?

I am planning to call NVC tonight and ask them the reason I am receiving these letter.

On a lighter note ... may be they are taking a revenge (by sending these letters to me) of me calling them numerous times a day.

    RJG2008,

I don't think they are taking revenge only with you. Here are more people with the same experience .I also got the same two letter one dated 12 th and one dated 14th.Don't worry..we are with you.

  13. Hi Waithatter,

My K-3 case has been forwarded to our Consulate on january 12 . But If I like to go only with the I-130 ,What should I do now ? If I don't send back the packet 3 to the Consulate office ,would that be a problem ? I mean, Would that be a reason to be a delayed processing on my I-130 application ? Do I need to write to the Embassy about it or what ?

Please let me know if you know anything about it.

    Thanks.

    Savar

Your k3 route has nothing to do with your CR1 process. They are two different visas. so, if you only plan to pursue cr1 then just ignore the k3 documents you get from consulate. Remember one thing always keep your options open.

    Dear Waithatter,

Thank you so much for your prompt answer ! I appreciate that .

  15. ok questions

Does NVC assign case numbers for both i129f and I130? Called vsc today and as per AVR, there was a case number for I130 however none for I129F.

Also how do you know whether your K3 has been sent to consulate gotta talk to a live person?

    thanks

    Hi sumone,

    Congratulations !

Yes,that is correct ! NVC will assign two different case numbers for I-129F and I-130 but they will put I-130 only on their AVR .

For K-3,I got a mail from NVC yesterday saying that,my case has been forwarded to Dhaka on 12 th january.

Hey I have a question for you or anybody ? Are you planning to submit Original Birth and Marriage ctf ? If we submit the originals how we are gonna get back those originals from them ?

    Thanks

  16. K3s have to call USEM and make an interview appointment ! Just don't call and wait for the CR-1 interview appointment.

CR-1 appointments are made by NVC.

SMART move going for the CR-1!

Hey " Haole" is it just okey not to call USEM for the k3 interview?

Me too I am pursuing to CR-1. I got an appointment letter from USEM but did not make an interview date yet since I am pursuing to CR-1 route. Thanks!!!

I got approval both on I-130 and I-129 . But I like to go ONLY with the CR-I. Can I totally avoid my K3 interview path ?Is it really that simple ?Just don't call for K3 interview and wait for the CR-1 interview appointment ? PLEASE CLARIFY .

    Thanks
