We had our Interview today and I am happy to say I was approved!!! :) We arrived at 1:45 for our 2 pm appointment, went through security and had to wait for 15 min before being called in by a Middle aged Female officer. She saw me carrying in huge photo albums and remarked later that she thought i would get a hernia carrying them in But she did not even look at one picture. As soon as we entered she swore us in asked us to take a seat. Then she asked us for our ids and then asked how me met, how long did we know each other before we got married, and then verified the information on the forms and asked the usual 'No' questions on the i-485. Then she asked for joint proof so we provided our utility bills and when we gave her our joint health + life insurance she said yes that was very good and after that she did not want anymore. But just to be safe, i kind of forced her to take a joint bank statement lol.

After that, she took the i-94 out, wrote something on it, then stamped approved on the 485. She asked for my EAD and AP, laughed at the fact they printed my wifes pic on the AP by mistake, then stamped my passport with the temporary stamp good for a year :) I was kind of happy i did not have to ask for it. Overall, the IO was really friendly and polite and didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all.

So I think I am done because i saw her stamp the forms with the Big Approval stamp and got the stamp in the passport but my online status still says received and pending and that my case is still at NBC.... thats weird but no card production ordered touch...

Anyways thanks to everyone here on this forum for answering a lot of questions and helping me save some big money on lawyer fees and for sharing their experiences so i knew what to expect.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes!! Im a lil nervous since the interview is a few hours away. We have i think enough documentation and proof. I will be back later to let you guys know how it went.

Quick Update... I got my EAD card yesterday and thank god they got the picture right this time lol I have an infopass today about the AP will let you guys know how it goes... exactly 1 week for my interview starting to get nervous!!! So yeah the EAD card is mailed from Corbin Kentucky. Heres the timeline hope it helps people who r still waiting for theres after card production ordered

03/17/09 First card production ordered notice.

03/20/09 Second Card production notice.

03/21/09 Date on EAD Approval notice which came with card.

03/23/09 Mailed from Kentucky ( Prob cause 21 was a saturday)

03/26/09 Received EAD card in mail.

I knew things were going too smoothly . I received my AP in the mail today and i think they messed up the pic!! They put the pic of my wife who is the USC!!

Atleast i think they got it wrong shoudnt the pic be of the non-usc???

Im so happy to see so much progress in the January club!! Ive been busy with work so didnt get a chance to post. So heres whats new with me. On 17th of March i got emails saying AP approved and EAD card production ordered. Then there was a soft lud on AP on the 18th and then Today i got another email saying EAD card production ordered again and a hard touch on EAD!!!!

Congrats on all the interview dates. Levi finally got his bio appointment letter. March 17th at 1pm Hopefully we all finish up quickly. Is anyone else getting bored? Levi hasn't worked in almost 6 months and he's sooooooo ready!

CONGRATS on the biometrics letter... every single progress in this long journey is indeed a blessing.

I am taking classes so that has kept me from getting bored since January (I was in a sorry depressed state few months back due to homesickness and boredom-taking classes has helped me tremendously)... but I am also very ready to get a job, earn my own money and be able to move around without having to ask my husband or my mother-in-law to drive for me.

Just wanted to let u guys know that we just received my appointment letter today and its gonna be on Apr 14th. Thought I dun need to go thr the interview part anymore oh well ... hopefully we will get a nice officer. Good luck for everyone and hopefully hear some more good news!

Congrats!! Cmon Januray filers!!! hehe wow just waiting in anticipation now! Glo did you also get a notice along with the Interview Letter asking you to get court records.. Im just curious cause no ones mentioned it before and i got one.

Question: I thought our EAD's and AOS were approved by our local office where we did our biometrics appointment, unless it was transferred to CSC. However, when I just checked the processing times at my local office to see if they have changed (which they haven't since December 31, 2008) it only lists I-485, I-600, I-600A, N-400 and N-600. So if they aren't responsible for our EAD's, then who is?

Hey guys sorry been busy with work so havnt had a chance to post in a while. I am pretty sure the NBC(National Service Center) or as its called the Missouri Service Center handles the AP and EAD.

Im so excited and releived hehehe I got it!!!! I checked the mail today and there it was the interview letter!!! It was mailed out 25th Feb. The inetrveiw is set for 3rd of April.

I have a quick question i was hoping sunnybear or SteveandTiff could help me out along with the NOA2 did you guys also receive a notics stating that if you have ever been arrested plz bring complete court records etc etc.

Heres hoping the letters continue!!!

Wow first off I am impressed that you all seem impressed we have interview...I guess I h aven't researched this bit that much and was just waiting for approval to come and that interview was kinda not a good thing etc to get....

Anyway notice date on letter is Feb 24, 2009 and it came from Missouri

Im AOS from h-1 so ive always been expecting an interview and for me i considered that the case moving forward and i just relized u could have not had an interview. But im sure ull ace it and should have no problems im just worried cause i applied on the 8th and have no news since the biometrics and just getting impatient so i mean i was really happy when u got an interview!! Im also kind of keeping my fingers crossed that they sent out my IL too and since Im on the east coast i hope i get it on monday

I don't know about all of you but I am going nuts waiting.

This endless waiting was bad enough for my I-130 and I-129F applications but the longer it continues the worse I get.

I swear the only thing that kept me sane last time was being able to track my case online, I know it isn't always accurate but it was then for me.

Now I have nothing but to wait for something to arrive.

I know I should be more grateful because some of you are still waiting on your biometrics appointments and I have completed mine almost a month ago.

I JUST HATE ENDLESS WAITING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!

I totally agree with you. The waiting makes you go nuts!! Dont get me wrong im very happy to be together with my wife but ur life here is stuck on a stop sign till AOS moves forward. I called USCIS today because i coudnt see the 131 and 130 status online after i was transferred to an IO she said not to worry she could see them and everything is fine. Then shes like it usually takes 1 to 1.5 years to complete the process. I'm hoping not!!! Im really happy that one of us january filers got the interview letter but it kinda makes waiting even harder because i filed a week after they filed theres and now its been 2 weeks since they got their IL and i havnt heard anything!!!!!

Congratulations!! That is great news... Atleast we know USCIS is moving along hopefully all of us get it soon too!! I think theyre just finally doing there job effeciently in the Dec 08 filers you'll see that someone who filed on Dec 30th got his interview notice dated 12th Feb too like you.

Quick question on the envelope for ur interview notice where does the stamp say the letter is from??

Went for my Biometrics interview today!! Had to wait less than 5 min before being called then they took my fingerprints and took a pic and then was out of the ASC in 15 min!! The good news is I just checked my receipt numbers online and the 485 and 765 show received and pending yahoo!! so guys its true once u get ur biometrics done the cases show up online...... the 130, 131 still dont show up online.......

I'm so relieved!! We got our NOA for our I-1485 application and one for our I-765 application today. Next thing is the biometrics letter =) Tried to track them on the USCIS website but nothing came up yet. Does anyone know what MSC is code for? I know CSC is for the California service center. Good luck everyone else!!

MSC or NBC(National Benefits Center) is the Missouri service center. My Receipts still havnt showed up online either Ive read through the forums that they sometimes show up after you get ur bio-metrics done so keeping fingers crossed.

Anybody from January filers got the NOA1 yet? Just wondering well, more like hoping actually coz it brings a good sign somehow for everyone of us here! Hopefully soon we'll be hearing such a good news here from January filers! Wishing us all the best! May we all have an easy, short waiting time.tke cre.
