  1. Hello to all, I have a question about Magic Sing. My wife of course is from the Philippines. She and her daughter have been here in the US for over two years now. Every now and then my wife brings up how she would like to get the Magic Sing. So my question is which Magic Sing is a good model to get, and does any one know of a place in the US to get Magic Sing, or should I order one from the Philippines? By the way, I used this web site to bring my wife and her daughter here to the States. This site is very helpful, just do all this site says to do and you will have no problems. My wife has been here for little over two years. We are doing very well, however we resently moved to Houston from New Jersey, but we are not too crazy about Houston so we might move back to New Jersey. I will be using this site again to file my wife and step daughters pernament residence status. We are coming up on the two year mark since Green Card issued. Anyway, any info on the Magic Sing would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi to all, I have a qiuck question about AOS. I filed a K1 Visa for my finace, and everything was approved, and she arrived here in June. We got married June 24. I sent in all the paper work for AOS and the fees required. Here is my problem and question. My wife has a 6 year old daughter that was aprroved with the K1 Visa, she also arrived here with my wife. So when I sent in the paper work for AOS I sent both my wife and her daughter on the same form I-486, plus the fee of $1610.00. $910.00 for my wife, $600.00 for her daughter and $80.00 for the finger prints. Our paperwork was sent back saying we sumitted the wrong fee, that the fee should have been $910.00 for the AOS, and $80.00 for the finger prints, so are we to send in a separate I-485 for her daughter? I thought it was all sent in on the same form since her daughter is 6 years old. Also we sent in form I-786 for a one time permit to travel out of US. That was sent back also saying that we need to send in$350.00 with that form to complete the I-786. I am very sure that when you send in a form I-486 AOS this is included with the process. Problem is that I already sent back our forms with the fees they are saying, but I think they are wrong and we filled out our paperwork correct. I tried calling to find out through the UCIS office but all you get is the automation voice. Is there a way to contact a human at the UCIS branch? The notice we recieved also stated to send the form I-786 with the check amount of $350.00 to the Nebraska office and bnot the Chicago office so I did that, but now I need to cancel that check because they are wrong. My main concern is my wifes daughter. I thought since she is a minor she is covered under my wifes I-485. Am I right or wrong? The only thing that was rejected was the amount of the check I sent, and again I sent $1610.00 for both. Just need an idea what to do now since I did what they said, but I think they are wrong.

  3. I have not posted many topics here, but wanted to say thank you to all on this site. This site is very helpful. I applied for K-1 Visa back in August, and now we have the interview for April 23. This site has been very helpful with this whole long process. I have posted a few things on here, and the responses and the answers have always been very fast and very helpful. I will be leaving on April 20 from Newark to Manila to be with Badet during the interview. We don't expect any problems. I met badet 2 years ago, and since then I have traveled to the Philippines nine times, so we are not worried about the interview. So for everyone going through this process, yes it is long, but it does come to an end, and there will be good news at the end. Again just wanted to say that this is a very good site, and thank you to all that contributes to the much needed and helpful information about the Visa process.

  4. Our case has finially left MVC on March 6 after 2 months in MVC. I called USEM to try and schedule interview for my fiance and was told that the USEM needs to review all the paper work and it will take 2 to 4 weeks for this to be complete. Is this normal? Also I was told that we will recieve info through the mail when we can schedule for the interview. I thought that once USEM recieved paper work from MVC you could call and schedule for interview, and that USEM sent you info to your email and not through the mail. So my question is this, how long after USEM recieves the case does it take to schedule for your interview? Thank you all for the great info provided here.

  5. I have checked the fee schedule, and also read some info on K2 for minor child that is part of the K1 visa. I cannot find any info how much the fee is for K2 Visa. Is there also a few for K2? I know the K1 visa is $131.00, so is the K2 visa for the child also $132.00, or is the child covered under my fiance's visa fee. Any info is very much appreciated.

  6. Just curiuos how long it has been taking for Visa petition to go from National Visa center to Manila Embassy. I recieved letter in mail January 16 saying petition will be sent within a week to the embassy. Called today and the case has still not left National Visa Center. Is anyone else here having delays, or is this the normal time frame. It seems like other cases have been sent within a few weeks. I filed witht he Vermont center, and it looks like things are taking longer at the Vermont center. I am just curiuos, because on the it states the case should go forward to Manila within a week, and it has been almost a month. Just getting excited now that the end is almost near.

  7. My fiance was just wondering about the vaccination. She heard that there are 15 shots she and her daughter will have to take. I know I read on this site already the St Lukes medical visit, but I cannot find the tread. Can someone please refresh the Medical experience and how many shots they recieved. My fiance is kinda worried about her daughter. Also what are the fees now.

  8. Well, you're already 2-3 months into the K1 process, which is about half way. I don't think it would be wise, unless there's some greatly compelling reason to scrap it all and marry overseas, especially when the K3 process generally takes longer. Just marry here. If you were like, one month or less into the process, I'd have said scrap it, but then again it's your choice. If you can go the wait with no problem, go for the K3. Most of us wouldn't want to though, I imagine.

Yes, I agree. Will just switch plans back to the original way we was going to do. Only reason we thought about getting married in Philippines is because here I have very small family, and of course my fiance back in Philippines has very large family, so we thought it would be nicer and funner getting married in Philippines. But we will definitly go back to plans of marry here in US. Thank You all.

  9. I met my fiance over year ago in Philippines. I sent I- 129 in July, 2008. At first we where planning to marry once she arrived here in the US, but now we are planning to marry over in the Philippines so she will be with her family on her wedding day. So my question is this. Can we still get K1 visa, marry in Philippines and then summit paper work for the I- 130 once she arrives here in US. We will be married before the 90 day time frame runs out. In fact we are planning on getting married right after she gets her K1 visa, and then fly here to the US, and then right after her arrival summit the change of status, and I- 130 paper work. Is this OK to do, or should we just go back to original plan and marry here in US. I my self would rahter have a nice wedding in Philippines. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated.

If you marry, you no longer have a fiancee, and your wife will be ineligible for a K1 visa.

The K1 visa requires that the marriage take place in the USA, within 90 days of entry. If you marry abroad after obtaining the visa, the visa is void. If you use it, then try to adjust status in the USA based on a marriage abroad, you will be denied and your then wife will need to leave the USA and complete a spouse visa process.

If your priority is to marry in the PI, withdraw the I-129F petition now and file an I-130 after you are married.
