  1. My ex-wife had same situation about 10 years ago.

But she had documentaiton such as INS I-797 notice, and told them she only knew only one number.

So interview officer just processed the case without much delay.

If you have all back-up documentation that you only had one number so far,

you can argue that the other number should not influence this case unless it was issued earlier than the number you use.

In that case, it should be no problem with your residency requirement.

In my opinion, it is their internal issue, so it should not affect petitioner's case for N400 application.

Made Infopass appointment for next Monday. Hope to hear something positive.

Kud - please keep us updated on your inforpass... We had an interview early this month and they told us we have 2 A-files.

  2. Where are the people who actually did reschedule their appointment. I have only heard stories and people say don't do it. Anybody have links to the actual people who did try to reschedule. We are about to apply but already have our tickets book for the christmas holidays, and with our luck that is when they are going to schedule the interview.

We had to reschedule the interview because we needed going back to HK for a family medical situation. It may just depend upon how long you leave and whether you have a proper reason. We told them that we would be back on the end of May and yesterday we received the letter from Atlanta office that they will have our interview on the end of June.

Actually you may schedule a infopass and ask the immigration what they will do about it. If you can wait for another year for it and not out of the coutry over 6 months, I believe they will reschedule for you.

    Good luck!

  3. This is super fast. I just received the Interview Letter yesterday. However I have planned a trip to go back Hong Kong next week because my mother will undergo a surgery. My question is - can I call immigration to postpone my interview one month later because I was told that after filing the n400, we are not suposed to travel abroad. Or do I have to cancel my trip? Please advise..thanks everyone.
